  1. That's what I'm doing right now. I've got nearly nothing for my prequel collection, but I'm waiting until the august wave of TCW to start collecting in earnest. That's the crux of it, if you have a higher supply you can charge more. I was just looking at this for clones, and the highest quantities are charging over $11 for clones, when sellers with one or two charge about $3 each.
  2. I'm pretty sure it is a test like you say, and that if it does well we'll get films and comics. Although this now begs the question of what the 2022/2025/2027 trilogy will be, because there's no way that they'd be testing starting in august 2020 for a december 2022 film.
  3. Compared to our phalanxes of fans for SW, where half of us are ready to complain vigorously about any and all products released with the exception of the mythical 501st battle pack. i think he means a brown one with snow printing, and maybe not such a christmasy bandolier.
  4. I would assume so, but as @Lego-Freak says they could have easily shown off the other 3 sets when they showed the images of D-0, so who knows?
  5. like @ToaDraco, I'll be swapping those out for guns. Luckily, there's a fair amount of lego gun designs, especially when you take into account the ones in western, the lego movie, etc, and you can bet the magahorn gun from the first few years of the theme will be stored there. Yeah, or brown printing on the torso the way they've done for pilots.
  6. Great, a mech that's inclusion actually makes sense! Oof. Guess I'll bricklink the dino. Hopefully this drives down the OG iron spider's price on bricklink.
  7. Hold up, the venomasaurus rex was in Illinois? Something this level of comic-book ridiculousness means I might have to get the set now. I think it's actually a smart move. Most kids 8 or so and under mix all thier lego themes, so there are alot of kids who probably play with the jurassic world and spiderman sets already. (Although I may be biased as I vividely remember having my police arrest vader when I was a kid)
  8. @Safety, would you be able to post more images of it here, maybe one where the lego logos on the top is visible? I believe you that it's legit, but providing proof might drive up demand.
  9. Probably not until the Andor show. As far as I remember they don't go for that much (I got a NISB one on ebay in late 2018 for $40) I think it's very, very, just about 100% likely that lego star wars will keep the license. I personally don't like D-0, but I think it's just that he was a poor choice for a sculpture. he ends up looking not much like lego at the head and then his wheel can't rotate. I hope we get images of the other 3 sets sometime soon.
  10. I actually really like this one. The venomasaurus is comic book stupidity at it's finest and was a great choice, and the figures are all great too. Ah yes, your friendly neighborhood, very family friendly, totally great for a lego figure, spiders man.
  11. Ah. Thanks for the explanation. Makes sense, another surprise $130 reveal. No.
  12. Agreed, he looks great. This razorcrest set is AMAZING! It looks great, and the price isn't bad for what it is. Baby yoda is adorable, ig-11 and scout trooper are fine. Carga's...interesting, but I get what they were going for. I'm ok with getting another early mando as you can tell this is something they got ready as fast as they could, and based on the description it's possible he's a placeholder. Are you saying something is coming tomorrow? Because I'm not sure what could POSSIBLY top the razorcrest.
  13. 1. Thank you for reminding people that this isn't the end of the world or the manifestation of some maniacal disney scheme, sets get canceled, it's not world-ending. 2. Is this a hint at more information to come...
  14. Would've thought your favorite film would be ROTS, but I can respect liking TPM for Maul. I'll be honest though, almost everything that's left for TPM has already come out, aside from the queen's royal starship due to the difficulties in making a chrome ship. For instance, we've already had mtts, aats, gungans, droid transports, a duel of the fates, etc. at this point lego knows what sells from that film. (apparently mtts, n-1s, and anything including Maul.) Thank you! You've got to think, there's really not much from the origional six films we're missing. (I apologize to the AT-UT and SPHA-T fans) Thank you for bolding the extremely unlikely so people don't get the idea that this is an 8-clone set. I'd say 4 clones and MAYBE a b1 or two, MAXIMUM. Most likely it'll be a clone or two, a jedi, and a droid or two. (But yeah a double-battle pack of the GAR would be super cool)
  15. This could totally be true. Like the b2 and clone with AT-RT of the constraction line. People are jumping to conclusions here with "disney cancelled TCW sets" We only got three votes because, like almost all companies, lego's goal is to make profit. The majority of people that were able to vote for these sets (heck you're supposed to be 13 to have a lego ideas account) aren't in their target audiance. Therefore, them giving any votes at all is nice to us adult fans because, at least for the non-ucs 2009 set, it's something that adults want more than children. (to be honest, hanger bay and conference room really doesn't sound like something that would appeal to most children) Thank you! There are a lot of people who are assuming that disney cancelled clone wars sets, when there is no evidence AT ALL that this is the case. A few sets were cancelled, and if you guys remember when the constraction sets were cancelled it very likely could be similar to that. I'd also like to present that I think there's some real evidence that the AT-RT and BARC set is a large clone pack. Since it has an AT-RT and a BARC, and Anakin and Obi-wan both come in other sets, unless ahsoka is included and is the BARC driver, this set must include at least two clone troopers. I'm actually really excited, because even if there are only two clone figures, the set's a great GAR builder, with two common vehicles and likely a few clones.
  16. Depends on if it's from TCW or ROTS. In the umbara arc, which the figures are based on, it's clearly blue, even in the dark setting of the arc. In ROTS, it's more of a dark blue.
  17. That would be nice to get, when was the last one, salucami? @Brickadeer had a good point, but I'd add that At-rt's and AATs are very common clone wars vehicles. If they were in the same set, it would be possible, but not pluasable. Seeing as the at-rt comes in a set with a BARC, which as far as I remember wasn't in that scene, there's no chance Weird that the razorcrest is a store exclusive. I don't remember walmart and target getting big exclusive sets for star wars, and amazon's exclusive, if I remember correctly, we didn't know about before it was officially revealed.
  18. Fingers crossed for rebel friend, although I'm not sure how likely that is. The past Freebies with games have been REALLY out there. 100%. I'm hoping this means it's a properly scaled at-rt as well, and probably more than even that. (last year's oversized AT-RT also had a spider-droid, turret, and exclusive vader with stand, so unless this is a truly gargantuan BARC we should see more stuff, maybe like a separatist speeder or something. I'm gonna be honest, I don't see this is a bad thing. A lot of people were criticizing disney for releasing so much in so little time, and it makes sense that a slowdown of the media the sets are based on would result in a slowdown of sets. And I'm assuming your "sole exception" was rogue one, but to be honest, all the films but solo did pretty well at the box office, all but TROS and to an extent solo did well critically, and all but TLJ (reasonably) and to an extent TROS were liked by the majority of the fans. (personally, when viewed through the lens of J.J. having to deal with what TLJ set up, I think TROS goes from a mediocre to amazing film.) Same here. There were a few exceptions, like the ervana interior set, AT-AP, droid gunship, and the combat speeder, but all the other sets were constantly out of stock at my stores (I live in the suburbs about an hour away from a major city, not sure if that increases/decreases demand or something), to the point where I started mainly buying online because I can't get there the day they get new shipments.
  19. You underestimate my power! i think this set would be dramatically improved if the ground was orange with trans black and black plates, instead of this red and yellow stuff.
  20. I doubt it, the last few TCW sets had the normal designs. I think stylized figure designs died with rex's at-te. That said, I think the closest thing we've gotten to a clone/stormtrooper since then for an animated series set is vonreg, so... I'd say we can hope for maul ashoka. but the new clones like jesse and 332nd (like you said) are unlikely. I think 501st jet troopers are likely though, and if that last unkown summer set (the one that we found out about along with the one that ended up being the razorcrest) is CW, maybe a mandalorian a la bokatan.
  21. So we might be seeing this in the helicarrier set? Black with blue light is nice, makes him a little bit different from the MCU and more akin to the comics, but there's no way that's the "shoulder cannon" mold.
  22. Forgot about that one, meant the 2013 BARC with sidecar. Since no one would buy just the BARC alone for $30, there has to be at least a sidecar and small speeder like the 2013 set. Regarding the Souless one, Grievous and Obi-wan are both givens, they had to be in the set, and 3-4 figures is about on part for a $70-$80 starfighter, especially when you consider Grievous is probably driving the price up a bit due to him likely being more expensive to produce than a normal minifigure (not bigfig level, but still.). Granted, I have no idea why this third figure is a new 212th trooper as @Hoth Rebel just implied, but it's no different than the TIE dagger as @Guyon2002 mentioned.
  23. Me too, rex is pretty expensive on bricklink The interceptor and BARC both hinge on the figures for me, but unless the AAT has no clones or ahsoka, I'll buy it. I'm pretty sure the last BARC set was $25. and was 7 years ago, so this is actually not really an increase if you count inflation. (The red one, based on that one episode at the start of the slaver arc.) @Skyhammer Not 100% confirmed but I guess someone on instagram leaked it and @jdubbs implied the leak was real.
  24. There's a difference between a 23% price increase in 4 years and a 50% price hike in 2.
  25. I always thought a CIS battle pack would be a great idea, as they would be able to put in more droids than they do minifigures, and of course we could get brick-built droids such as crab droid and droidikas instead of random non-canon vehicles. (though recently the packs have been better in that regard, what with the mando pack and praetorian pack.
