  1. I'm in the website, but when I tried to checkout it crashed, and now my cart is gone. I'm slowly going insane. I know! If anything, this is worse than the queue. At least then, once you got in, you could buy stuff. Annoyingly, it let me spend all my VIP points on discounts already... of course. And right on queue, we're back in the queue. This has actively made me drop a set off the list, just to hope it lets my smaller purchase go through.
  2. I really didn't like the plastic kamas, because they made it so the legs couldn't really move when it was on, and they also looked really rectangular and blocky. I think dual-molded legs are the best option, but with the cloth at least you've got mobility.
  3. Rebels wave, excluding a system ghost since we know one's coming. Microfighters: Phantom 2 ($9.99): Sabine Wren (S4) TIE Defender ($9.99): TIE Pilot The Ghost Vs Gozanti Cruiser ($19.99): Hera Syndulla, imperial officer. Battle Packs: Pheonix squadron rebels ($14.99): 2x orange outfit rebels, 1x blue outfit rebel, 1x A-wing pilot (the red b-wing style suit). Build is a small bit of the outpost with crates and a thumper. Imperial patrol ($14.99): 2x stormtrooper, 1x stormtrooper squad leader, 1x combat driver. Build is a lothal imperial speeder bike. Duel: Duel on Tatooine ($19.99): Obi-Wan's camp with a function to extinguish the campfire, and a brick-built dewback. Comes with Old Ben and Maul. Phantom 1 ($34.99): Phantom 1 with S1 Kanan, Chopper, Hera, and the Grand Inquisitor AT-DP ($49.99): AT-DP with 2x AT-DP drivers, S1 Sabine Wren, S1 Zeb, and Agent Kallus. Imperial dropship ($69.99): Imperial dropship with 1x imperial combat driver, 3x stormtrooper, S1 Ezra. Malachor encounter ($89.99): Malachor temple with interior pit area, hall of doors, holocron room, and weapon activation room, along with some statues on the outside. Comes with S2 Ezra, Ahsoka, Kanan (helmet), Maul, Vader, and the Fifth, Seventh, and Eighth brothers. Lothal Dogfight ($119.99): TIE defender and Phantom 2 with S4 Sabine Wren, Kanan Jarrus, Choper, Zeb, Vult Skerris, Governer Pryce and Rukh. Chimera Star Destroyer ($149.99): ISD with interior bridge, temple ruins room, and thrawn's office. Comes with extra parts to put the tentacles in the bridge. UCS: UCS Ghost ($499.99): UCS Ghost with full interior (Ezra/Zeb, Kanan, Hera, and Sabine's rooms, the kitchen, the "living room" with the dejerek table, and the cockpit, along with the cargo bay), as well as a correctly scaled phantom 2. Comes with S4 versions of Kanan, Hera, Chopper, Zeb, Sabine, and Ezra, along with Kallus and AP-5. Quote sets: Reactor Duel ($69.99): Star destroyer reactor catwalks (multiple levels) and control center with S1 Kanan, Ezra, and the Grand Inquisitor. Quote is "There are some things worse than death." Thrawn's office ($79.99): Thrawn's office with all it's associated relics. Comes with Thrawn and 2x death trooper. Quote is "To defeat an enemy, you must know them. Not simply their battle tactics, but their history, philosophy, art."
  4. Dual-molded is the best case scenario, but I think the fabric kamas are much better than the kama printing only on the front of the legs, where it just looks like a weird strip. And the kama just being a printed strip. I can't believe they'd do that on a figure in a $650 set with only 2 figs. He HAS to have dual-molded legs or a cloth kama.
  5. My ranking would go (for post-TDK trilogy movies): Unranked: Joker (2019): A reviewer once called it "the best movie I never want to see again", and that's very accurate. It's great, but I don't know that you can really even consider it a DC film. 1. The Snyder Cut: This is 100% biased. I wasn't even really aware about the whole snyder cut thing until it released, but it's such an improvement over the original. It's 4 hours, it's got a ton of unnecessary scenes, it's filled with slo mo, and I love every second of it! I've seen it four times, and will see it more. 2: The Batman: I don't think it's as good as the Dark Knight trilogy, but it's playing on the same field, and it's made itself different enough to do it's own thing. It's a worthy successor. 3-7 (Actually pretty good tier?): Man of Steel (I really like what it does with superman, and the realism of what a fight between super-beings would do), Shazam and Shazam 2 (lots of fun, some real heart), TLBM (Of course), WW (The ending was muddled, but it was a good movie overall.) 8-10 (eh tier): BvS (It's not great, but at least it tries to do something), Aquaman (It's so blandly safe, and Momoa, while cool, is NOT aquaman.), TSS (It's so nihilistic.) 11-14 (Absolute trash tier): BoP (I will never forgive them for what they did to Cassandra), SS2016 (blehhhh), WW84 (blehhhhh, but even worse because the previous film was good.) Oh, you think I was saying TDK trilogy was better than the Cloony film? Nothing could ever touch Batman and Robin, of course.
  6. No offense, but I think the Burton films, Maguire films, and X2 might be a touch of nostalgia there. (SM2 a little more debatably, I guess). I honestly think the movie should be in conversation more when talking about batman movies. It's mainly parody, yeah, but it's got heart. Knock me down all you want. "We fall so we can learn to pick ourselves back up."
  7. I have no interest in the lego mario theme. The course builder is apparently selling well enough, but I personally don't care about it. I will kill a man for that Funky Kong figure. I will also be making him a surfboard.
  8. Really? You'd put the Burton movies near the Nolan ones? Look, I get that the Burton movies were the first time batman was "really" on film, but there's not a ton going on thematically. Of course on some level it's pretty unlikely the flash is going to be TDK trilogy or Logan, but it sounds like it could definately be a No Way Home. But nothing on this level. Tom Cruise didn't personally request a copy of WW84 and say he loved it.
  9. Yeah, like I said above, the worst reviews you can find just say it's alright, and there are only like 2 of those. Most of the reviews are saying it's the best DC movie since TDK. Not that it's particularly difficult, but still.
  10. Literally all but two reviews I've seen have said it's one of, if not the best non-TDK superhero film, so I have no idea what @TurnOffTheDark's referring to. Even the two that weren't that positive just say it's alright, but too ambitious. I haven't seen any overtly negative ones. I'd have loved a The Flash selection of sets. (And again, art from artist. Ezra Miller can be an absolute scumbag of a man who deserves to be in jail, and The Flash can still be a good movie.) Just from the trailers, we could have something like this: Batcycle chase ($19.99): Batcycle (not terribly oversized) and some of the city street with Batfleck, Barry 1, and 1-2 robbers/terrorists/villains (Based on the cancelled set): The Batmobile: Batman Returns ($44.99): Keaton Batmobile with Keaton Batman, Barry 1 (2013 prototype suit), Barry 2 (Plainclothes), and Supergirl. The Ultimate Batwing ($99.99): Large, 4-seater batwing and Kryptonian drone with Keaton Batman, Barry 1 (new suit), Barry 2 ("Batflash" suit), Supergirl, Zod, 2x Kryptonian soldier, and And we haven't even seen the movie yet! I could also see a kryptonian villain vehicle on it's own or even the Flying Fox, but the three above all feel like sets lego DC would have put out even a year ago (heavily batman focused, that is.)
  11. Luke Starkiller is being added to Skywalker Saga as a playable character. It won't translate to any physical minifigure, though, so it's not really relevant.
  12. A part of me is glad this got moved off the contest sub-forum, because this is leagues beyond anything I could have made! Seriously, this is excellent. You've got all the details of it down pat, and the scale is impressive. I also think doing a non-transparent cockpit was the right choice here, no matter what windscreen you used it wouldn't have looked as good as what you ended up doing.
  13. You have my vote simply for including Kes Dameron. I could see them doing it, since it's got a lot of potential to be strung together to make the level from the videogame- I mean scene from the show. (But seriously, that totally felt like a videogame level, right?) All 11 of those would be awesome, and it just shows that we need more battle packs/year. IMO, the best move would be 2 of the blister packs each january, meant to retire at the end of the year, and in the summer, a $20 BP and $30-40 mega/semi BP. These are the two I want most for 2024, and would kill my wallet. My personal idea for 2024 battle packs: January: $15 212th pack with 3x 212th troopers and an airborne trooper (I'm moving the fig count up to 4, sue me). Build is a crab droid, of course. $15 Gideon's troops pack with 2x beskar stormtrooper, 1x beskar stormtrooper (red highlights for gideon's guards), and 1x praetorian guard. Build is a small laser gate. May: Separatist proton cannon assault ($39.99): proton cannon and BARC speeder with 2x new b2 battle droids, Jesse (p2, but not ARC), Fives (ARC), Kix, and Rex. Figure it satisfies lego's 501st obsession and slots Rex into a cheaper set. August: Imperial troopers battle pack ($19.99): speeder from Andor with 2x stormtrooper, 1x death trooper, and 1x army trooper with riot shield. Part of me wants to make it 2 army troopers and 1 stormtrooper, but we need the stormies more.
  14. Ah, that makes sense. To be honest I'm not sure how well 4+ does, I feel like once kids are past the "need duplo because they would eat and choke on normal legos" stage, most parents are fine just getting them small system sets. Honestly it's just proof that they can make some pretty sweet guns when they don't stick to stud shooters. Yup, and for what equates to almost a $20 discount, that's a fair price.
  15. 5x points might be the push I needed for Ambush on Ferrix. I still don't like the Tac-Pod build, but it'd be a good parts pack, I want the figures, and we need more from Andor. Not surprised the justifier and dark trooper helmet are doing poorly, but I'm surprised the AT-ST is doing poorly enough to get 5x points just a year and some change later. I'm kinda glad, $50 is too much for an AT-ST IMO.
  16. That's fair. RIP my Kix diorama idea. Ok, so any build where the focus is on flora and fauna? Just do Anakin weeping silently as sand surrounds him.
  17. I love the idea, and you've translated the lore to the physical design very well. Looking at this, you get submarine vibes without having to read the description.
  18. A few quick questions, since I'm back from college next week and will be able to start building physical entries: For "Rogue Clone": Is the clone wars through rebels stipulation specifically meant to be a timeline one? For instance, if I wanted to do Kix waking up, or a clone participating in Exogol, would that be allowed? For "Nature is after you", what determines a jungle or forest planet? I don't have anything specific in mind here, I just never thought of Felucia as a jungle, so I wanted to know what the criteria were.
  19. They're brick-built, not using any new parts, though there are a few new-ish ones like the 2l bar that came out a year or two ago.
  20. Totally agree. We'll see some rebels material due to it's appearance in mandoverse. Hmm. I'd say he gets a cloth Pauldron (That's what you meant by the cantina troops, right?), but I wouldn't be surprised if instead of a cloth kama he had dual-molded legs with printing to make the kama. It wouldn't look as awful as the kama in the 2023 501st pack but I'd still prefer a cloth one. We're still getting capes, yeah, but I'm too cynical to believe the kamas "limited the figure's ability to interact with the sets". They had what, 6 years of cloth kamas to figure that out? I think the printing is just cheaper than adding in the cloth part.
  21. As much as I wish we would get more, there's just too much content out there, and even with Rebels being more popular than it was during it's run, I don't think we'll see anything. Ahsoka will push it's popularity forewards, but at the same time we're already getting the ghost with it like you said. At the most, I could see a small set, or maybe something otherwise very visibly SW like a TIE defender, with Ezra and Kanan thrown in. I also think 2024 will bring us a Phantom 2, though I'd guess it'll be ahsoka based. As much as I'd love this, I doubt it'll happen. Lego seems to be avoiding cloth when they can, at least for the kamas, so I can't see them going out of their way to throw in a pauldron.
  22. 100% agree. If it's an episode 6 set, we should have had Piett, Jerjerrod, or even Greejatus And Rae wasn't in episode 6. (I know technically she was present during the battle of endor and all that, but c'mon.)
  23. First off, those Fox and Palpatine renders aren't even from skywalker saga, IIRC. They're from some mobile game. That said, the leaked fox parts from the instructions or whatever they were matched the game render pretty closely, down to them both having that print error. Normally, yes, we get at most 1 set with anniversary timing or box art. But ROTJ already has what, 4-5 sets and a GWP? It wouldn't surprise me if this was ROTJ boba.
  24. It's from early 2021, from a mandalorian-based wave: (Side note: looking back, we got like half of these that summer. Most of lego's are definately better, though I will stick up for my Marauder.)
  25. Even as a keaton batman set, c'mon, there was more potential than THIS. Keaton Batman was never going to have amazing figs, but exclusively basing it off the second film is moronic. The only real draws are the Returns suit (To the extent that's even a draw, given how similar it is to the 1989 suit), Penguin, and Catwomen, and we already know penguin is... less than accurate. The number is awful too. 7 in a $450 location set is absurd. I almost wish we didn't get this set, because I can't see it doing well, and you KNOW the conclusion they'll come to is that large superhero sets don't sell.
