  1. Yeah I just checked, and they did say it was based on Venom 2. To quite the brickfanatics article: "rumours continue to point to a LEGO Marvel Carnage bust inspired by the film." Let's hope that this rumor is true
  2. Haha it's still better than nothing. Lego needs to start making some Deadpool merchandise or they're missing out big time. Hasbro has an adult line and it didn't affect their public image with children and parents. Lego should not be afraid of parents getting angry of them making 18+ products in their 18+ line.
  3. So Deadpool 3 is apparently happening with Marvel Studios. Please, Lego, please do what the 18+ line is intended for. Please give us Deadpool sets
  4. Amazon just revealed some Halloween costumes for Venom and Carnage from Venom 2, and both look surprisingly comic-accurate. I’m slightly more excited about the film now. Does anyone else think that we may get a set or two based on Venom 2? If the rumors are true that the Carnage helmet is based on the film, then it wouldn’t make sense for Lego to miss out on producing a set featuring the movie Venom and Carnage, since they seem to be obsessed with these two.
  5. Sorry if this has been addressed before, but when should we expect more info on the Carnage helmet and the D2C?
  6. I was afraid that Cap’s chest piece might be a sticker. This is fantastic news
  7. The rumors said it is based on Venom 2? I’m taking it with a grain of salt but wouldn’t it be amazing to get a Venom 2 set?
  8. Lego only makes who they think are the most salient characters in the public's mind (which are mostly characters who have appeared in movies). However, they refuse to give us the most popular variants (no scale suit Cap, no Tom Hardy Venom, etc.)
  9. I'll admit Ghost Rider car is one of the better-looking sets in the wave, but it's still not the ideal Ghost Rider car I was imagining. It's even worse than the Speed Champions one. I'm slightly disappointed because I'm a big Robbie Reyes fan, but I guess having a not ideal version is better than having nothing at all.
  10. I hope you’re wrong haha. This is the lowest of the low I feel like they can go when it comes to Marvel. The only way what you said will come true is for future waves to be even worse, which I don’t even want to imagine lol
  11. I would have happily paid $80 for the lair set if it included a new Lizard big fig. But for what it is now, the set feels like a rip-off
  12. I hope the summer sets are good. I still have just a slight bit hope for either an accurate Endgame wave 2/MCU legacy wave or an Endgame D2C
  13. LOL I sometimes wonder if the LEGO Marvel designers even know what Marvel is. “Marvel? You mean mechs, helicopters and Spidey vehicles right?”
  14. The turret looks like it was transformed from his mech haha. Also, LEGO gave us Thanos butterknife, Thanos car, Thanos hammer, Thanos flying shoes, Thanos mech, now Thanos turret. When can they give us Thanoscopter?
  15. Thanos and Spidey lair sets are both revealed via Marvel’s website https://www.marvel.com/amp/articles/gear/new-lego-avengers-sets-january-2021 They changed Thanos’ build from his chair to a cannon??? I liked the chair... also his chest piece is no longer exclusive, which means Thanos mech is worth nothing now. EDIT: Thanos doesn’t have leg printing, meaning that Thanos mech minifig is still somewhat exclusive
  16. Having compared the figure to the game, I have to admit that you’re right. The suit does look different. If only Lego could give us the actual variants instead of the mix and match variants they like to do these days (I still have 0 idea what they were looking at when they designed that mech Thanos with the Endgame helmet and comics torso)
  17. Also, the box art for Cap mech looks like the Endgame final battle. I hate how much Lego likes to tease us with Endgame-like sets but never gives us a proper Endgame wave 2 You’re not alone my friend. It’s hard not to complain given how much Lego is ruining the theme recently.
  18. Hands down the best builds in this entire wave. They look movie accurate and cool.
  19. Overall a terrible wave with a few surprises. Some quick thoughts: I’m so disappointed that Thor is reused. Is Lego seriously still making Square Enix sets? They need to STOP Doc Ock is clearly based on PS4 and Miles is inspired by Into the Spiderverse (the box art is clearly based on that film). Nice Ghost Rider car looks uglier than expected. Those stud shooters ruin the look for me. The angry clone strikes back in the form of Sandman. PS: that Spider truck looks even worse than expected
  20. If I understood you correctly, Thanos (comics) was inspired by Darkseid, not Steppenwolf. But it doesn’t make a difference as Snyder Cut Darkseid looks even worse haha
  21. To be honest, it’s better than the theatrical version, but he still looks hilariously bizarre. I saw a comment online that said he looks like Thanos stole Megatron’s armor
  22. I know LEGO won’t make Snyder Cut sets, but wouldn’t it be fun to get a big-fig or brick-built Spikes Steppenwolf? The pain to hold him will be comparable to that of stepping on LEGO bricks
  23. Haha. Tom Holland’s Instagram showed a BTS photo of Bosco suit. Since this is the second time the suit will appear in a movie, I feel that there’s no excuse for Lego to skip it again Hmmm Magneto, Galactus, and Doctor Doom would beg to differ. Also, no one asked for a $150 Thanoscopter (if they make Thanoscopter it’ll be at most $50). $150 Sanctuary II would be cool. I think we just want more villain vehicles and builds, no matter the size (Taskmaster’s helicopter, for example, felt refreshing to me because we finally got a villain vehicle as the main build).
  24. Fellow Emperor Zurg fan here. I think sometimes the villains are portrayed as more powerful than the heroes to emphasize how brave the heroes are (imo the Empire vehicles in Star Wars look cooler than the Rebel ones). But there are also many villains who are fantastic characters who have earned massive fan-base (Thanos, Vader and Joker often outshine the heroes that they fight against). One of Lego’s flagship SW sets that sold for almost a decade is the Death Star. Given how popular Marvel villains like Thanos and Mysterio have become, I think it’d be perfectly fine for Lego to capitalize on them. A Sanctuary II, for example, makes sense as it’s a cool looking ship belonging to arguably one of the best movie villains out there
  25. Possibly not a crazy hope, as Bosco suit is confirmed to return in Spider-Man 3
