  1. very nice model. this does really show how small the curve radius of the lego curves really is. XGBC
  2. @Jesse have a look at almightyarjens crane in his wip channel XGBC
  3. nice narrow gauge railway you have. i have some ideas on how to improve it like inventing a system to couple your wagons together or you could use stronger neodynium magnets. hope this helps XGBC
  4. yes that made things very clear and thanks for the reply. XGBC
  5. you dont need bluetooth with the new software you can use usb to connect it to the nxt. XGBC
  6. by multitasking i mean having one loop for moving the robot and another one for meassuring the temperature XGBC
  7. have you tried using multitsking? i think the reason for your problem is that the motorblock you turns for 1 sec. or something and during the turning of the motor it doesnt prodeed with the program and your temperature isnt mesured. XGBC
  8. oh my god the nxt programming language looks so complikated compared to the one from the ev3. in the one from the ev3 you dont have to worry about conversions and it schould work with nxt too however im not shure if it does. XGBC
  9. How do you transport the candy's then @Hanso? Nice monorail btw. XGBC
  10. oh im sorry i havent read that now its clear why XGBC
  11. it looks like your central weels are facing the wring way. XGBC
  12. Nicely done! XGBC
  13. you cold use the wires from an pf extention cable you just have to cut them and fit them into the old plugs XGBC
  14. what would also be cool to see released as a set would be one like the factory train set where fans designed the builds. XGBC
  15. I ve read your tread andnow want to build my own monorail. i however want to create a 4 stud wide version using the rails from masao hidaka. the solution for powering it will be interesting. XGBC
  16. it looks just like the real thing i hope to see this one brick built soon. XGBC
  17. the voltage of your powersupply will drop if you attach a load to it (such as an ev3,nxt or whatever) however i dont think this would be a problem since the ev3 and nxt have voltage regulators built in. XGBC
  18. Your boxcar kind of reminds me of a test of the german state railway: http://images.ideeundspiel.com/Media/Eisenbahnkurier/Drehstromdiesel DE2500-7.png The loco had just the motors in it the transformer and pantograph were in the car XGBC
  19. if you have two boogies you cold do one as the power pickup and the other one for good traction but meke shure that both of them are powered by a motor because you have better power pickup with your metal weels if they are turning too XGBC
  20. one thing i could think of that would be an issue is that you dont have enough traction because the lego weels have rubber on them the other ones not. it is however not an issue if you dont plan on powering those.
  21. ok thats intresting but thanks anyways i think your metal weels look rly good are the dimentions the same
  22. how do you send more than one picture i cant do that i have got no flickr account or something like that. can you help me? XGBC
  23. these braking systems are mainly used for shunting wagons and are not used to slow locomotives down. They work using pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders. If you want to build such a system you have to raise your rails by a brick or two in height so you are able to fit the mechanism in there. Hope to see such thing soon from you XGBC
  24. ok thats nice i hope to see some videos soon XGBC
  25. my power pickups arent that good because they cant pass switches but i will send you a picture of them anyways later. where do you plan on getting metal weels for the pf train motor? will they be with a technic cross axle hole?
