What is the possible "tender care" to give to the controller? My toy room is so messy now so I have to sort and tidy things up so it's not the right time now. -

Is it better to open the city sets and sell only the sealed bags separately or sell the full unopened sets? I have got a few Lego city sets that are retired but i regret getting them. I have been putting them on local sites for the price I bought and the price is very reasonable but no one even asks, so I am thinking if it's better or even more risky to unbox them and sell the number bags separately. Any experienced seller? -

I had my first Lego set 6349 sitting in a glass cupboard for 30 years and it was all covered with dust and dirt after 15 years. -

By your experience, will they be back in stock again? Are they active in bringing popular but sold-out items in stock? or once it's sold out it is usually gone forever? I have no experience with PAB. -

I don't need it to be "hospital clean". Is a few drops of kitchen detergent good enough? or bathroom soap better? -

Thanks this is the great information. When I search "pig" there is only this one, is the smaller pink pig not sold separately? by the way, when I searched for "cow" on the Lego official site, I was able to find out the cow that appears in the new city barn & farm, when I searched for the item number shown on bricklink, no result returned. Do TLG normally not sell city animal parts? -

By the way, how do you all clean used Lego from secondhand market? I mostly soak them in a bowl of water and then let them air dry under sunlight. Is there any better practice? -

2$ each from Lego? Did you mean Lego's official site? Do they sell parts? Can I have direct links for reference? I didn't know they would sell only the pig.......In that case I don't need to buy the whole set of the barn & farm........ -

What is the best way to display Lego inside a car?
ks6349 replied to ks6349's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'd like to display a few mini-figures in my car that will stand on small base plates but I cannot figure out how to keep whole thing still while driving, no problem with the mini-figures because they will attach to the Lego base plates and I will probably add a few 1x1 brick to secure them even better, but the problem is the whole thing together with the base plates, even applying glue to the bottom of the base plates don't work well, it just falls away easily because it's not very adhesive. -

melted or stolen Lego??????? I don't understand. -
Is using glue or tape on a small base plate the only way to display Lego inside a car? Is there any way you can think of or any accessories specially designed so that no glue or tape is needed but the Lego will be stable and not fall off while the car is moving?

Some deals here today, 60197 (i.e. The retired Passenger Train) is sold for $100 here, seems like to be the last chance. I already have one. Is it a good price to get some more? Any comment? -
Does anyone buy Lego but not open or sell it?

I have old sets that are most of the time put away, and I have new sets that are recently built. I can immediately notice that there are a lot more scratches from the overall impression (even though I don't look at and count each line of scratches). As a result, scratches on Lego bricks could be a problem, minor though. -

Yes, I like that size of some box sets e.g. creator 31131 is significantly reduced compared to similar sets released a few years ago e.g. creator toy shop -

I can immediately imagine that if bags of bricks are too tightly packed in a box, friction and action-and-reaction force will be so big during transportation, drop or flip-around. However, it shouldn't be enough to cause any real damage but it is likely to see more scratches on the surface of bricks. -

Many people have overlooked the fact that some space within the box is important to serve as a buffer to reduce the likelihood of scratching or even breaking the parts during transportation, and before opening. In case it's really so tightly packed, chances are some parts may break or get scratched very badly. -

I think cardboard and paper will only make a wonderful home for rodents and insects if they are wet and dirty. I throw away dirty boxes and keep only nice boxes. -

But the fact is many Lego boxes are not in a significantly bigger size than necessary. Booklets and brick bags are often very compactly packed in a box.
