  1. I played LEGO since 1989 and stopped a few years later. Now I want to get back some memory. Most of my old LEGO sets are thrown away. I've looked at the old catalog online recently. It really brings me back a lot of memory, when I was a small child my mum held my hand looking at LEGO sets while we were not rich and my dad was only a factory worker but she still bought me a big set because she loves me. A lot of old sets on ebay are very much priced up now. I can understand. But Is there any sets around 1988 - 1994 where they are not very much priced up that I can still buy ?
  2. Yes, I don't want to look fake, it's "fake" though. I have a strong preference for the downtown diner, it's on sale here, the price is a steal. However, here is another sale for assembly square approx. USD 200, is it a good price considering the number of pieces ?
  3. I want to build a small town, I think the street sets of "Creator Expert" are essential. However, I want to start with something easier like "3 in 1" and "LEGO city". I think they don't fall into the categories of Creator Expert. I'd like to know if the size and the style of those sets would match that of the "Creator Expert? Would the trucks or minifigures be so large that they will not match the street building of Creator Expert? I am asking this question because if their size will have a big contradiction, I will then give up working on 3 in 1 and LEGO city
  4. Is there any site which gives a complete information on old LEGO sets? For example, number of pieces, number of stickers and the original price when it was first launched to the market
  5. I understand regularly cleaning the dust is necessary to keep LEGO in good condition. However, It's also a very troublesome process using dust blower bulb. Can I blow the whole assembled set with electric fan at very mild speed instead? Will it clean out the dust as good? Another headache, how to handle stickers? It may be the most difficult... Thanks for advice
  6. Hi, I am new to this forum , but not new to LEGO. However, I left LEGO for many years, now I am back because I have more time now. I'd like to know, how to keep the best condition of LEGO sets over time? Any special detergent needed to clean LEGO pieces? Or , is it good enough to just rub the parts with dry or damp cloth from time to time? Do I need any soap or anything special chemicals to keep it the best condition? I remember that in those old times the printing on the LEGO figures will fade away over time.
