I haven't yet made a count, but it looks like Lego has released a lot more City sets this summer! I am surprised that airport and passenger plane have come back so fast! The last one was only released in 2020.

I know that base plates are now packed by new materials. They look like kinds of paper, and less plastic. Does anyone know if water and liquids are still impermeable to the new package of the base plates? This is important for me because if water and liquids are somehow permeable I'll move them in a better place for storage.

I think Lego intends to produce less of some certain City sets for unknown reasons. For example, the recycling truck, the vet rescue and the grocery store, I don't think kids today love Lego so much as that my time that they will buy them all once they are released.

I find that for the City sets I like in particular, their quantities are often less than usual, however, City themes are not very welcomed here. Creator Expert or Icon sell much much better.

Do you guy think Lego does deliberately release less of some certain sets even if they are sets from the same time and same price? For example, The vet i.e. 60382 is often out of stock or only left a few, while the tractor i.e. 60390 is readily available. They are of the same theme, same scale and same price.

we can see that the green one, blue one, and the white one have new generation with different Lego set number, but how about the sand base plate? Does Lego no longer want to release sand base plates?

I got 10313 instead. The orchid doesn't look so colorful

Any comment for this set? The toy shop nearby is offering deal for this set. Price is attractive but I don't know if it looks good or not. Will it look very fake? by the way, between 10313 and 10280 which one looks better? Any comment? I would buy either one...

Where is LEGO.com selling the 2018 cargo train? I just checked the site and it is listed as a retired product.

I don't think there will be new City passenger plane in the coming September because Lego released a plane in 2020 already (i.e. 60262) which is still selling in many offline stores and not selling very well.

Oh my goodness! There are so many special and refreshing City sets in the coming summer! Hard-earned money is to be emptied again!

I'd like to make some lighting sets for some of my lego sets on my own. Is there any tutorial specifically written for this? Many ready packed lighting sets are a bit overpriced.

No formula is needed. Check enough, compare prices enough, buy enough. When you have enough experience, you'll know when the best time is to buy.

Do you think Lego 60346 Barn & Farm Animals is retiring? Which parts of this set make it one of the most expensive city sets in terms of cost per piece? In fact, only the ox and the pink pigs interest me, but the lowest price I can find for the full set is about $35 (in USD). I know that the pigs can be bought alone on Lego site but not the ox. Is there a way that I can buy the ox alone from Lego official site? And how much would that be?

I really don't know. I didn't study about train things. But now they have deals here, so I think I'll need to get some quick advice, I'm not going to build the sets because I am too busy in recent years

I have just got 60336 (the Freight Train). We have special deals here for the tracks but I have to get at least two sets in order to get free shipping. Is it more playable to get two sets of 60205(Tracks) or one set of 60238(Switch Tracks) and one set of 60205(Tracks) or other combinations? I won't mind getting 3 or 4 sets but probably not more than 4 sets. Since I am not so familiar with train things.

But the new freight train released in 2022 is better than the one released in 2018 i.e. 60198 because it has no tower which means they have added details to the cart.

I have just got four sets of 60386 Recycling Truck. And two sets of Freight Train i.e. 60336, but I regret for the freight train. I am selling one out, but no one is interested.

I have got a few of it for $10 each only. It gives me three City minifigures.

It's more insane to think that cleaning a Lego box is insane. What's the problem of taking care of the dust that accumulates on my Lego box over time? Every one will do it, only the insane one never does it.
