This would be very cool. 250 g without tires would fullfill most of the plans I guess :-) Would be too heavy I think, better without any such pieces... Yeah, would be better. -

100 g is way to low in my opinion. Especially if we want some more variety in tires and not only the smalles ones. Again an example: According to Brickset, 8066 weighs 280 g with only 141 pieces. -

I'm ok with that. Considering the fact that from leaked pics many small official models have been digitalized within 1 day from the community. Also in this community, I'm sure we can rely on the parts count people give. When really in doubt, Admins may ask for pics from the builing process to count all the parts? -

I'd say both a real and digital model should be required. Thinking about it, you might be right, so we would have model sizes like the 42004 or 42032, so more like 15..20€ range: *Edit: Or are we too close to the TC22 then? -

Provide a digital model, which can be dissected by the users for inspection. Should be easy to upload a .ldd or .io file. -

In a size I think none of us anticipated :D Oh man and I love how they detailed the front attachment section. Can't some of the buddies from Lego System department please switch sides to Technic? department :D- 5,506 replies

Yes please! :-) Or 10€ set with max 150 pieces? This! *edit -
Had the original one as a kid, your recreation with the iconic chevron logo is great! But one thing: Why didn't you use the normal blue door?

Pretty much sums this up. Actually it is a self-fullfilling prophecy: --> Lego brings out more cars and less "real" Technic models --> EB community reacts in saying the line-up is less interesting --> die-hard fans will buy less new models and focus on second-hand market --> EB community has less impact on the sales figures --> repeat from the beginning I'm pretty sure there will be some models, maybe even in 2026, that will be highly praised by the community. But I don't really expect a technic prime year like e.g. 2016. Still I have high hopes for 2027. An 50th anniversary "technic" year with just cars would be a disaster.

Would have been strange that this leak was faked since the medium tractor tires weren't around that time. There were many speculation in the forum while the third axle has been left out. Could be just cutting costs, but maybe had more to do with traction, since Lego advertised the vehicle with it's climbing ability (at least on wood or other flat surfaces, not on dirt). Also the Zetros got a facelift at that time and the outer shape of the grill changed.

That's true, we are still missing a convertable since the 8448 from 1999! Also where are the FWD cars, which make the majority of streets vehicles? A big plus for more sets each year are the new pieces they bring us. Especially new suspension components, gears and panels. The latter in multiple colours.

It really comes down to this I think: Most Technic fanatics don't mind that cars are making the majority of new entries, if: - the number of non-car technic models is still sufficient (lets say 10 cars per year and 10 other models, or even 12 / 8 would be fine for me) - the quality of the non-car models is still consistently high (looking down at you and spitting out, 42215) - a decent mix of Heavy Machinery / Trucks / Agriculture / ... is maintained - a decent mix of small / medium / big models is maintained - a decent mix of non-electric, electric, RC and pneumatic models is maintained, focus is on non-electric. In the video of @kbalage at min 1:00, the graph shows that the sum of non-heavy and other machines are very consistent over the years with 7...11 models.

Lego Fairground Nebulaz
Jundis replied to MarcM's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Oh hi Marc, most important piece would be the big turntables. The MOC version relies on self-built gear, but you can also interconnect 4 turntables together. As there are multiple versions of this turntable, you need precisely this version in the link above, as it has bevel gears, so they intermesh. Here is an idea of that with some 3L pins and this connector: You need two indipendent movement in the tower: The pivoting and the turning of the "rotors", therefor there are 2 motors in the MOC. But you can also interlink them and can also built a manual version with a handcrank if you want. -
I don't see any practical sense in implementing a breaking system in an electric RC car. It would only make sense in a gasoline powered RC car. But a reinstallment of the 853 as a sort of driving school model of a car with all the internal technics would be really nice. And also very fitting for the 50th anniversary in 2027 :-P Something like this, but more modern. This actually is a cool MOC idea with clutch, gearbox, breaking system front+back, driving, suspension and so on.

Interesting experiment. But why did you change the wheels? This tire profile seems way worse than the tractor tires of the original. Only the increased diameter enhances traction. Really not an expert in building trial trucks, but you need better steering angle and, as @gyenesvi said, better suspension.
