Thank you! Yeah it was planned as a set with all quality for a real lego set, but unfortunately it eats up all our newer lego parts, as we have 99% of 1980s Bricks. The brown chains are not for the anchor, it's just a design element like the yellow lines like a lot of ships had. That's why I decided it to keep it in brown as their are not classic chains as more of a design element similar to HMS Victory with their yellow chains/lines up front. I build that in first place as a newer version of the RenegadeRunner, made it into a caravel and finally to my characters ship. The cannons I need since it's now a soldiers ship instead. Thanks again, appreciate it as you guys building with new parts and, most builds are wonderful designed, real awesome. For that I appreciate it even more that you like that Ship.

This is Lieutenant Carling's Ship, the brand new HMS Annettania. Stats: Crew: Lieutenant Carling, 4 Soldiers Big Cannons: 1 (movable to all sides) Small Cannons: 2 (one each side but movable so up to 2 small cannons ready to open fire in the same direction) Weapons: 4 Muscets, 2 Sabres Ship: 3 small parts, front back and one middle hull part. One Cabin small with one door and two small windows at the back, two big each side. Big stairs. Caravel like Chritoph Columbus' Santa Maria. Space for about 12 barrels (before the cabin and under the front is a lot of space) Soldiers: young and inexpierenced, but the best fighters of their class. High profile snipers. Lieutenant Carling: young and inexpierenced like his crew, extremely smart and also a very good sniper, quick decisions but aggressive warfare. Shoots first, then asks. But is good and quick at learning. High hopes of calming down when maturing. Has been always the best in his class.

Had some minor updates to the ship cutted the front sail, added a big cannon to the small ones. So it can shoot all three to all directions. Changed the back as I wasn't pleased. Sorry that it is as "Corrington" Ship but was too lazy to make the pictures with the other sails and crew. As it's about the ship it shouldn't be an issue ;-) PS I did not cut the pirate front sail as it's size is perfect. Had to cut my fake Imperial Flagship 1992 sails that I bought on eBay. As I still have the original ones everything is ok

Clay Carling's Adventures in Jameston
DonRamon1981 replied to DonRamon1981's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Today after the crew came back to Jameston, Lieutenant Carling bought a big cannon for the ship. Additional he moved the two small ones up front, so they can shot in all directions. The only other update to his ship is a small change at the back. To make it more like a Caravel. Lieutenant Carling is tired after the first days in the heat on sea. He is thinking a lot of the Oleon Admiral and about what kind of adventures are ahead. Now, better equipped, having done a few checks and escorted a lot of trade ships, Carling and his men finally feel like this is the place to be... The updates was necessary, as Mr. Carling felt like he could use additional weapons on his ship to fulfil his duty. The changes at the back was simply for the beauty of the ship. He is proud to show his loyalty with this elegant ship named after his beloved Queen. He is proud and mastered the first days in the new world. -
Clay Carling's Adventures in Jameston
DonRamon1981 replied to DonRamon1981's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Finally on the next day the crew already been on time at the port waiting for their first mission. Lieutenant Carling and his Crew escorted ships all day and had some time to check the islands islands Clay saw the smoke coming from last day... The Island seemed to be unsettled... But there was footprints in the dirt and there was evidence of human presence everywhere. Going deeper into the island they found... nothing. Surprisingly on the other side, the coast of this island directed to the ocean, there was an old man sitting, ready to make a fire and eat bananas whole doing it... Lieutenant Carling went to talk to him. He is a shipwrecked he said. But Clay didn't believe him so sat down to him and had a long talk. Telling him he is on Corrington Territory. But as soon as Clay told him his name, Lieutenant Carling, the old man began to talk... His name is Crook and he was one of the best friends of James Carling. On the day of the death of his father, he told him, there was a bad atmosphere on the sea. The smell of death, like he called it, was in the air. And while claiming a small island back in the day, caused a big confrontation between two other Nations too, that arrived at the same time. To keep peace and not to start a war he wanted to leave the island for the other nations but itvwas too late. A Oleon Sniper shot Admiral Carling while the Eslandolan Warship just heard the shot from the Oleon ship and started to open fire on them. It went all bad. Mr. Crook told me he jumped off the stern and took a row boat and some men to enter the Oleon Ship... But suddenly, an own cannon bull struck the row boat apart and most of the soldiers on it died. Mr. Crook flew, frustrated and broke to another island. He never went back to Belson, his home, nor to any other city. He is living on that Island for years now. Before the end of the conversation the old man remembered something... and told Clay the name of the French Sniper that shot his father. Reading the name Lieutenant Carling was shocked... that man is commanding a Oleon Warship these days... Clay Carling left thinking about how he can get to this Admiral... But he quickly returned to duty and his mission. The nect island had to be checked. After a few days without any accidents, the crew of the HMS Annettanian realized some activity on another island they did not check yet. Lieutenant Carling immediately sailed to that Island. A small row boat was on the beach, and some footprints pointed deeper into the island. Suddenly they heard McDonald screaming that some pirates want to flew of the isle. They saw the ship already and hided, to flew when the soldiers are deeper on it. But the last soldier of the HMS Annettania had other plans. He shot the row boat before the pirates could reach it. Lieutenant Carling and his man had no real trouble to catch the two pirates, but they died to their wounds before Carling could talk to them. Carling and his soldiers checked the rest of that Island. There has to be something there that was worth to run away and attack soldiers, it was worth it to die for it. So he and his men checked every tree and every stone k that isle, finally finding something.... they found a treasure chest full of Gold and Gold Coins. The men celebrated but knew, they will not keep any of that for themselves. Lieutenant Carling ordered to take the treasure chest to the administration office of the military port of Jameston. Surprisingly a very high military officer checked the treasure chest, counting every coin and reading the report from Mr. Carling. His face was full of scars. He told him that this Gold was stolen by pirates days before Csrlin and his Crew arrived. And that every single coin is still there. But before the high ranked officer could talk more to Clay, he was already gone. He went to his cabin and started to think. Think about his father and how he can get in touch with the Oleon Admiral... without causing a war or a confrontation with Oleon at all... Will Lieutenant Carling follow his emotions and search for the Oleon' Officer, or will he just stick to his orders? -
Damn looks so great. My son'sbiggest wish is that Ship as I started already a raw build. Unfortunately the lego store in Berlin doesn't have that pieces I need. Not even some of them... so I will wait and the raw ship stays like this for a while. But you had the pieces and you did a great job, respect! I am focusing on different ships now first. Or take the bigger hull parts and build a newer bigger caravel for my sigfig... I will see. I wanted talk to my son that I will build another ship where we have a lot of parts, but he doesn't want that. He wants the Victory. So I will keep the raw build on the side first focussing in playing and waiting too I have all parts I need.

Clay Carling's Adventures in Jameston
DonRamon1981 replied to DonRamon1981's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Yeah nice. To be honest I tried to put the face on that fits myself most. He has the exact beard like me, hip hop clothes in red and it my lego me. But in the 80s this beard did not exist yet, that style came in the 90s the first time. The Beards 300 years ago was so different, that I chose that one from the officer of the flagship. It just matched the beard in old style very good so I took it for my sigfig ;-) Thx -
After a long journey, finally Lietanant Carling and his Crew arrived at the military port of Jameston. A couple of soldiers and the Chief Officer from the local administration office was present at the arrival. Surprisingly Lietanant Carling found himself a home directly at the harbour, to have a view on his brand new small ship. The officer took the crew to breakfast and ordered this day off duty to restthe crew. By a interesting conversation between Officer Brady and Lieutenant Carling, the officer revealed the need of small warships to escort and protect the trade ships. Another thing that is concerning is that there has been some activities seen from the small unsettled islands in front of the coast of the main island. As a big surprise for Mr. Carling, Officer Brady knew his dad, Admiral Sir James Carling, and is very excited to see what his ambitious son is capable of. During the conversation Clay had to ask about his father's passing. Officer Brady told him that he was a young sailor on the ship of his father, the HMS Arlinsshark while they have been in a small confrontation between Warships from Eslandola and Oleon. After one ship of Eslandola opened fire towards the Oleon ship, Sir James Carling wanted to intervene and stop a war... the situation became chaotic. Cannon balls flee all over and shots being fired. One bullet struck Admiral Sir James Carling down as he died on duty for his country, trying to keep peace... He heard that a former Officer on that Ship, Jim Crook, was standing beside Sir James Carling when he was shot. He had to see where the shot came from as he left the ship for revenge and never came back. Rumours say that he is a retired buccaneer on a small lone island. He doesn't know more than that... He quickly changed the topic as he realized how obsessed Lieutenant Carling became when he was taking about his father. He ordered not to shoot other warships without a good reason, as keeping peace was also his father's priority. Finally after a couple of glasses of Oleon Red Wine and an Eslandolan Cigar, Officer Brady read the ordered for Lieutenant Carling... He has to patrol the coast close to the harbour and escort trade / merchant ships, but only inside the area of the sea which is occupied By the Corrington Empire, to not cause confrontationswith other nations. The second order is to check the small unsettled isles and investigating any activities and report to the office about every small accident, doesn't matter how unimportant it seems to be. Will Liuetenant Carling find out who murdered his father? What is going on at the unsettled small islands? Will he find the former Sailor Crook? Or did he just die already or is back in Belson enjoying retirement and all the rumours are just what they are... Rumours..? Finally arriving in his room he saw smoke on the horizon, a very small cloud of smoke, from one of the mentioned isles... now he know what island to check first...But for now he is resting first. Following orders, even an order to rest, is his priority so he noted that as one of the missions for the next day... and went to sleep. (I hope I did it right to start if like that here...)

Thank you. Did not really expected that. I really needed like 30mins for that one. But I already see I have to ankle the whole side, building back and front really different and buying a lot of parts like new Windows, black flags, and stuff. Appreciate and really thx.
-
Here is a picture of the first step I did. It's very raw as a lot of things have to be exchanged or build different. The sails will be custom and the mast, red flag parts over the cannons, will be removed with the correct colour.... the back and front will be build totally different. But so far I have a raw plan now what kind of parts I do need. Please don't judge this raw version as it is just my start to see what parts I have to buy.
-
Made my first raw version of the HMS Victory using parts of my Caribbean Clipper 2019 and the Black Seas Barracuda. Will be hard for me because I own that one for about 30 years already. But to be honest. My son doesn't like any old ship. He lives both bounties, the Flagship and our new Renegade Caravel as he loves the new lego parts more. So we old guys have to realize, the old classic pirates are special but because of us, our time... all kids the friends of my son doesn't like the old ones at all. So as my son didn't let me use any of the newer ships (the Imperial Flagship 2010 does have the perfect coloured hull for that...) I decided to use my Barracuda for that project. I will post a picture later, as it is by 10% now. Yes it is a fully build ship but for real just with the parts from that two ships. So there needs to be a lot of work done and a lot of parts have to be bought....

Corrington: Sign-up and Discussion, Era II

Sir Rear Admiral Fletcher. I think I did it without a new thread, don't really know as I did the licence form and submitted it. So where is the nearest Senior Office that I can report to, I want to receive my very first orders and go with my crew and fulfil my duty. God save the queen Lietenant Carling -

Renegade Caravel 2019 Update August 21st 2019: My inspiration: The Ship with the new parts I bought, well some update will follow just to the mast as this parts did not arrive yet. As maybe some of you have recognized... this is Breathren of the Brick Seas HMS Annettania... different sails different crew. I build it as close as I could with the parts matching Christoph Columbus' Santa Maria. As you can see I tried the same shape of the ship, the same stairs in the same side and with details as much as I could. This is still my Renegade Runner 1989 to Renegade Caravel 2019 MOC. Just used it as my characters ship in BotBS

Corrington: Sign-up and Discussion, Era II
DonRamon1981 replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Hello Fellas. I am gonna introduce my sigfig character: Lieutenant Clay Carling Grown up as a child of a Imperial Soldier for Corrington, Clay grew up as the only child if his parents. As his father died during duty for his country, Clay began reading history, studied martitim warfare and tactics, he always dreamed if being admiral one day. He joined the Naval Forces as a usual Sailor, becoming the quickest and youngest lieutenant of his country. Beside becoming the best admiral of the country one day, the other dream of the young Clay Carling is to find who killed his father, as the cause of death remain unknown. He suspects other country's Naval Forces of being responsible for his father's death. He is extremely loyal and a tall young man, a genius in warfare but a hot head. His antipathy against other empires is being a problem in some people's eyes. He is obsessed with his work, studying war tactics and reading about strength and weaknesses of other Naval Forces, loves classical music and good political conversation. He is very ambitious and imperialistic. His arrive with his new own ship, the HMS Annettanian, the first under his command in Terra Nova, is making a lot of promises but there are also worries and doubts. Is the young man able to become a famous and successful Admiral, or is his hot head causing to much problems and confrontations with other big nations... Lieutenant Clay Carling HMS Annettanian Crew: Lieutenant Carling, 4 Soldiers Cannons: 0 Small Cannons: 2 (one each side but movable so up to 2 cannons ready to open fire in the same direction) Weapons: 4 Muscets, 2 Sabres Ship: 3 small parts, front back and one middle hull part. So I hope I did it right Sir. Please tell me your orders to license my ship. I am sorry but the rating system is way too complicated for me to count it on myself. I am very excited of starting my new adventure in the new world... I promise to always follow my orders and do to my best for the crown and the country. God save Queen Annetta Sincerely Yours Lieutenant Carling -
Corrington: Sign-up and Discussion, Era II
DonRamon1981 replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
It would be something like the Small Imperial Flagship from 1992, that size. And he is Captain of the small but fast warship. So that size should be totally ok? Small hulls with one middle part section. Just if I can get my son to take apart Brickbeard's Bounty for that project will get more interesting, but it will still not be bigger than one middle hull section. -
Corrington: Sign-up and Discussion, Era II
DonRamon1981 replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Hi all, I am very interested into joining the Corrington Empire. But I don't really exactly understand what Kind of ship I can build. As my fictional character is officer on a middle sized ship with a few cannons I don't really know if that's already too big. It would destroy my character story if I have no way but to make a small ship -
I removed the cannon for two small caliber ones, to make it my most realistic pirate ship of the fleet. Ordered some brown windows and another door, try to do that to make this ship look as great as I can, bit not adding any hull parts. By comparing our biggest and smallest ship (I don't count the small trade ship nor the one from the islanders as real ships) the outcome is the most realistic lego warship vs pirate ship comparsion ever. But as my Black Seas Barracuda is untouchable, we will have at least two big pirate ships in our fleet... Our Fleet: I don't know if I can do the door inside as I will only do it when there is enough space, my stairs have to stay there somehow somewhere... P.S. the sails of Brickbeard's Bounty are stable as I removed the soft sticks with lego technic stuff that I also used for the masts of my Renegade Caravel... Ah... and I ordered some new parts for the masts, inspired by our flagship.
-
Took the other sails, the plastic one as they at least match altogether. I think they don't match the nice ship or the colours.
-
Thank you very much, appreciate your advise that will help a lot!
-
Thank you! I have no sail left to use a blue one. And how can I get it through Photoshop on the sail? The black hull parts are not lego, just some game stuff. I bought a whole fake lego ship, black with terrible plastic sails. Something like a fake black pearl. I used just the hull parts from that one as I paid just 5 bucks on eBay.
-
Update August 20th Caribbean Clipper 2019 and Bigger Caribbean Clipper 1989 As for my son's wish we had to change the Caribbean Clipper 2019 because we needed the sails for the Caribbean Clipper 1989, just to make it bigger. He badly wanted to have the blue coats also at least one bigger ship. So here it is, Gouvernor Broadside's Caribbean Clipper 1989 in big, strictly to the plan from the OriginalOne, and the New 2019 for the French Admiral: The Caribbean Clipper has been my very first lego ship when I was 8 years old back in 1989. So it had to stay the same even with one mast and one cannon added. So the old rivals Roger and Broadside can meet again, this time played by my son... 30 years later :-)
-
That's really a good way to start doing that. Keeping both ships too. Thx
-
Hm it's a nice idea but I have to change the look outside and totally the build up front and back. It's a different kind of ship and the back and front almost levelled. And yeah it is black and yellow so a lot of parts of my BSB would be useful The most important question is... whereto get the sails from especially the back sail
-
I put the Flagship on my couch... It's so damn big. So even a little bit smaller would be real nice, but not bigger!
