Where did you read that it’s retiring in 2024? I am also considering buying it, but will have to wait till the end of this year.

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Bainter-ban replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Heres what I got from the livestream: They just shared that the castle in the BTTF video is not the actual set, but a prototype. So at least we got something (so far). 20 minifigures (!) 9 knights, 2 forestmen, 2 black falcons, skeleton, baker, magician, and will not be kings castle, but queens castle (?) A drawing of the castle will be shared (I guess similar to the Ninjago Gardens). Just saw it, looks awesome! Half a meter wide, open back (similar to Hogwarts). They’re not sure if you can close it- 2,976 replies

Does anyone know why there is no designer video for the BH? -
With that price tag I’m guessing MOC-like?

The vintage taxi looks great! I'm glad I waited a bit to buy the new modular. However, I'm disappointed that the minifigure is just the same donut thief as the one in the Police Station-set... -

It went up to approximately € 290 in Norway (yes, we are blessed with outrageous prices from Lego) from € 250 or € 290. Glad I just bought it from another retailer here for € 190. -

Looks like the GWP will be a hotel keycard? According to images on instagram. Weird… -

I love it. Definitely in the top three for me, along with Parisian Restaurant and the Bookstore. The modulars are in my opinion getting more and more advanced when compared to the older modulars (and I'm not just talking about GG or CC). I mean, take Detective's Office for example - a great set, but when compared to the latest sets, it's clearly not as advanced or creative, especially the facade on the blue building. I was so disappointed when the Diner and especially Corner Garage came out (even though the Diner has grown on me). However, the last two (and now three) modulars have been a day one purchase for me. -

No reveal today, hoping for tomorrow! I’m getting quite impatient 😄 -
I don’t really get how acknowledging that people should be free to love whoever they want is «political». It’s a fundamental human right and a foundational part of human existence.

Guess I was right after all ... A D2C Gringotts this august does not make any sense, and now we know it won’t happen. -

I just feel the D2C being an expansion to Diagon Alley is unlikely because DA just released. The set is very expensive. I think it would take at least two years before they would release an expansion to it. -
I think it would be great if they released cars and other vehicles as separate sets to go alongside the modular buildings. E.g.: - Police car - Normal cars from the 50s-60s era - Buses - Taxis

Well said, @Aanchir. I, too, find it interesting that CG is excluded on the back. It’s obvious that BS is a better match, visually. Also, they’re both similar to PR, which have sold really well. Might indicate the styles that are to come in this series.

I think your post contained 100 % American politics and 0 % on the new modular. How does that add up to the "leave the American politics out of it"? -

Recent polls actually show a record-low trust in the police in the US. Now at 48 %, below the majority. Source: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/12/us/gallup-poll-police.html In Norway however, it's at 79 %. Quite a difference.
