LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Renny The Spaceman replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I agree with the general point, we definitely need a remake of the black one, but white is not expensive because of the parts being used to this day, + being in both the space squad and Galaxy explorer. You can go on eBay and get the modern version for like 7 quid I know they won't do this, because now that LEGO's realised they can make get people to spend insane amounts on them, but I think LEGO should just include some of the classic space figs in more of those themeless LEGO sets (Like the Alien Pack or Space Diner, though ideally with Air tanks and the right head) just to keep them in circulation. Obviously I wouldn't expect it to be done with all of them but as a way to keep red and white around (as they're the most iconic) and maybe Purple and orange since all their parts are assumedly still in production. I think all the parted together ones should at somepoint get a rerelease as a whole fig Black and blue would be nice if they'd have the budget for those torso prints but probably not. -

The fear here is what if the CMF is just them bringing back 12 different costume figures. -

Teal seems like the funnest option, though I wouldn't mind something like Bright Green as the Green one is far and away the most inaccessible -

IDK if that makes more sense, at that point either just don't include air tanks with the Ailen Pack as well or use one of the other CS colours they have in production. -

Oh right, makes sense then, still nothing is ever gonna explain the random lack of or miscoloured airtanks on the same figures -
Completely agree, he's obviously core to the series but also it's such an intrinsic part of playing Batman when you're a kid. Kids need to fight over who gets to be Batman and who has to be Robin You will eventually, Shrek is eternal, he consumed all Well I can't choose one, each one is equally amazing all at outstanding prices. It reminds me of an idea I had earlier when someone suggested a Luigi led secret six. He should recruit Polka dot man to his team, only instead of having a costume full of colourful dots he could rip off to do various tasks he should have an updated suit where every dot is a mini version of one of the variety of remarkable flavours of Pizza available from Luigi, he goes across Gotham offering free samples to get people hooked

I wonder why they made the GWP Space Babies have Classic Smileys whilst the CS figs in the Space diner and Alien pack sets have city heads. I think that print looks better but it seems inconsistent -
I think you'll get your wish, the Authority is likely delayed as when Gunn was asked about why it's not casted he said “We won’t green light a film until we have a finished script we’re happy with and, in general, we won’t cast a film until the script is finished. This is why some projects are moving faster than anticipated and others more slowly. It’s always gonna be quality first no matter what." Supergirl, I believe, has had pretty consistent updates, I'd imagine that's more likely to be next after Superman

Every time I think I have a grasp on LEGO DC they throw a new curveball, why do they just refuse to make Robin? Like I can follow their mindset for why they don't do other DC characters or even certain core Batman characters like Two Face but why haven't they done robin since 2020? Every one of these Nostalgic Batvehicles D2C's has at least 2 figures but they straight up just include a figure we've had before on it's own for a two seater Batvehicle.

Not really the point but I'm pretty sure all three of those Batman properties are more culturally relevant than stuff like Shang Chi, Black Widow, The Marvels etc due to how much of them is just known through cultural osmosis. Obviously that doesn't translate to toy sales but there are more people aware of all the iconography of the 60s Batman without ever seeing it than people who could name you a single member of the Eternals or the secret identity of Ironheart

I think if it is DC it's almost certainly the BtAS batmobile. The fact Mr Freeze was supposed to be in the skyline and now is in a different set I think it'd make a lot of sense for them to put the figure that really only appeals to hardcore fans in that one and it'd be so in character for LEGO to decided to decide to do the skyline first, then when they decide to add a couple bonus BtAS sets just pillaging figures from the first set instead of making new characters to be the exclusives

NGL, I think past a certain point LEGO DC's failure have been almost entirely due to LEGO's mismanagement. Like there's the obvious things like the WW84 set, the roster for the CMF, etc but also Batman is so popular and has such a diverse cast he could absolutely hold an actual regular theme if LEGO didn't constantly handicap themselves. We talk a lot here about how kid's need a DC cartoon for them to care about Batman but hundreds of non-LEGO Batman toys thrive to this day. I mean sure kids now play the Arkham games and there's a million of those 'sigma male grindset' videos for sexist 12 year olds based around the Bale films but surely those aren't what keep Batman products moving, I think if they just did a handful of distinct colourful sets with various Batvehicles and villains they'd do better than coasting off nostalgia for the guy from The Flash. Maybe it's just what I've seen but I swear to god the tie in sets for half the Marvel movies now seem to never leave store shelves

Even with their Joker obsession they are not touching Jared Leto's one, potentially the biggest punching bag in CBM history played by the only DC actor who can Rival Ezra with the amount of shady shit they're involved in with merch of him still clogging up stores to this day. He's like a perfect storm of reasons for LEGO to stay away. The LEGO Movie set really only makes it more likely they'd do Harley, they decided years after the original film she was popular enough to put in a unrelated set. Though I will reiterate that I do not think there's a chance they do any DCEU sets due to how that's the franchise that put LEGO DC in the hole it's in now
-
Also worth noting that DCEU sets selling like they did is likely the main reason the LEGO DC line is what it is today, they are not touching those films again anytime soon. If they did do one though it'd probably loosely based on Suicide Squad as aside the only other DCEU figure I could see them thinking would be worth producing other than a Batman would be another Margot's Harley. Genuinely probably more chance of them doing a Batmanless set than that
