  1. At last, I join Varlyrio! This is my character, Ásgeir Di Cioto: The photo links to the topic (and it actually does now) which has five free builds (more details later). And this is only the beginning. Glad to join you all! It has been coming a long time .
  2. Thank you, and thanks for letting me know! Fixed it, check out the new look !
  3. "Long ago, far to the southwest of all of Historica... "There lay, and there lies still, a tall and lonely city, which is called, Ilesole." "Forgive me! Please!" "It is not for me to forgive..." "But if the skies above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath... "If the sea into which he was cast is washed away with time, "If the sun dries up that sea so that the water no longer parts us, if he can walk from there to here! "Oh, then will the child be forgiven; then will he also be pardoned… "For what he hath done…" “Water… is merciful…” “Not like fire.” “My name is Ásgeir Di Cioto... I come from Ilesole.”
  4. Do it ! I'm enjoying all the families from Varlyrio a lot, need more though!
  5. Yeah, I was just taking my own ideas from yours, not opposed to yours... I knew you were more likely talking about having little value for other peoples lives, which is a selfish idea of course, I'm talking about the same general concept but in a new direction: being brave enough to not value your own life when compared to a cause. And yeah, you were talking about evil but mentioned savage too, so I figured I'd mention that .
  6. Just to jump in, I think that is a very noble, a rather lost, and an impressive trait, and, for instance, it is what made the English beat the war lords of India time and again, proving that it's not (just) a (what is considered) savage attribute.
  7. I think you can make that as you wish, I just imagine the mountains would be the only result of such a crash, but huge gorges and chasms here and there along the line makes sense and sounds awesome to me!
  8. Thanks for the explanations! Personally I like that roof though I can't quite tell why it would look like that, but who cares if it looks cool, right ? I think two of the bull sigils would have made the orange sign fit in more, right now I find it a nice but confusing looking pop of color, messed up by the different sigils that aren't very similar on either side.
  9. The S line is a marker of the supposed line where the islands met back in the earthquakes of Chiaro's reign, if I understand it rightly. Although, I think the line was nearer to the mountains as that would have formed them, but then cartographers don't always get things right, you know .
  10. Very nice unique building! I'm getting lost in the story though: Raven is the Governor of a city in the wasteland? And how can he make a judge? And was he the same guy who was second in command of the main character's business, or is that another person? You know what would be great would be if you did bios for all the characters that are important, than I could find those answers whenever I get confused very easily! Nice working getting the first Challenge entry tho! And I dig the use of studs under the window, they look great somehow!
  11. Very nice job, the boat upside down and the curved roof are very good!
  12. Interesting story and sweet build! I really like the inside of the fort, but I do wish on the outside that the palisades were overhanging, the wall is too flat altogether. And why is your Councillor wearing what looks like a skirt? Awesome terrain though!
  13. Awesome, the detail in this one is great and it is cool to see the city grown! The border around the roof is excellent btw, and so is the little round pagoda thing.
  14. Neat, nice colour coordination! But the brick profile walls need some variation, can't you throw a non textured brick of that colour in every once in a while maybe?
  15. Great job with the overlooking riders! It looks best as they face the mountains!
  16. I'm growing jealous of your spectacular family. Which is good, maybe it will inspire me finally . I just wish it could create time...
  17. Wonderful pose for the knight armour! Lots of cool details, I would have done the tudor up top in tan or dark tan though. Also your figs are cool.
  18. What about a character introduction? Does that mean I need to hustle if I want to enter this challenge?
  19. Those figs are really cool, well done!
  20. Wow, the syrup is very clever, I wouldn't have expected that color to be used but it looks perfect! Altogether great work, the waffles are very real looking, the only thing I might have done different is the syrup poured from out of the picture. Maybe better take away the antenna piece and just leave it so it's already been poured, other than that I don't see much to improve, although of course it would be wished as you said that the plate could be more round. Awesome!
  21. This is a really elegant and awesome scene man!
  22. Great irregular base, and I think you nailed the water effect! On the other hand the stalks just laying around don't convey the earthquake feel IMHO. Also, the dry part of the riverbed could use tiles to give the impression of more dried earth, or mud. Great work though! I would also say the dialogue is great, except apparently a lot of it happened in their minds .
  23. Great MOCs and a nice look into Varlyrian life!
  24. Love the inside under the arches, and I wonder who the guy holding the bag is? He looks mean.
