  1. Google told me that Fakta's head office is in Albertslund which is a suburb of Copenhagen. So Denmark.
  2. I love the pop out walls in this tower, nice build.
  3. Really pretty, love all the flowers and the mushroom piece in the shield. Great build.
  4. I am also a strawberry Nesquik drinker... (but only when we run out of Milo) And thank you.
  5. The title is Euro style mini-mart, so it will probably be a county somewhere in Europe. It has a red light, so that could be a clue that it is the Netherlands. Although using the term 'Euro style' might be a ruse, so it could be somewhere closer to home, so Indonesia, they have mini-marts, and one might be 'Euro Styled'. However, your creations thus far have had an Australian flavour... so it could be Australia. The apple in the crate could be another clue, and I believe China is the greatest producer of apples, and the colouring of the mini-mart is red. So as you can see, I don't yet know what country it is based on, but I am looking forward to seeing it as it progresses.
  6. Here is a tower I built for Nocturnus guild. (Edit: flags added) It didn't quite work as well as the image in my head. Oh and here is something I built at the start of the challenge (posted in the Nocturnus thread, but I thought I would add it here). Secret ritual by tikitikitembo, on Flickr
  7. That burning snow tower is awesome. That lava stream is just gorgeous. Really cool.
  8. If Lego is 50% off at BN, Mindstorms will be affordable (for me to play around with). Although I would probably get the turbo tank... I want the minifigs. Can't wait to see if it is on lego (shame it is only one item, although my CC would be happy).
  9. I should see if work will fly me there (I have a meeting in Adelaide on the 19th, so instead of a flight home, I wonder if I can take a detour) I would probably only attend the Friday and fly home Friday night.
  10. Tonight at Myer (with 40% off books) I got the set of three star wars books (two sticker and one visual dictionary) and x-wing model for $12. Myer had lots of Lego books, including the Lego ideas book (would cost $24), Brickmasters ($24 also I think after the discount) and the small magazine books with a minifigure for $6 after discount.
  11. I just got an email from Myer-one. They are offering 25% off toys (but can't be used in conjunction with current catalogue). myer one link
  12. Thanks Walt, so are you. Your vignettes are always brilliant (clever, funny and interesting).

  13. Love the held together with rough pieces of wood and chains look.
  14. This is really cool. I have never played heroica but it looks like it would be playable, it looks easier to move around (so to take out when you want to play), and looks like a complete landscape. So awesome all round.
  15. I am playing with the idea of coming down for it, I have been once before and had a brilliant time.
  16. Thanks Taz, I think it is because I am learning so much from others, like yourself.
  17. Surf lifesavers set up red and yellow flags to show which area is safest to swim (to avoid rips etc). We just happened to have the Nocturnus flags lying around to do the job. With the fleshie, we wanted him to have a different 'fake' skin tone (to reflect his vanity and fake tan).
  18. I just ordered a bunch of Minotaur games from amazon france. Cheap way to get baseplates and lime bricks. I also ordered 5 of those monkey games... can't have too many bananas (I want some of the tree building stuff).
  19. I really love the technique used in the tower, I also love the landscaping, in particular the rock work around the tower.
  20. To sit beside my gingerbread house (for a Christmas library display) my husband and I built a closer to home Christmas. So here is our surfing Santa... 21. That is awesome, I love that photo.
  22. Ohhh... This is awesome, great use of the exoforce hair as trees, but the whole thing is well done.
  23. That is even cooler, because of the articulation between his segments.
  24. Brilliantly build, I agree with Nightshroud, looks exactly like the Onix. Have you used hinges between all his segmented body parts?
  25. It is brilliant, those wheels are beautifully designed. I especially love the shape the flame plumes make. How can Nocturnus not strike fear in the hearts of the other guilds (although a cute little fluffy bunny is enough to strike fear in the heart of the bravest soldier in Avalonia)
