  1. This is really cute. I especially love the platform, it is a great design.
  2. Thanks Lightning Tiger. My daughter is crazy about Lego (I think she got the crazy from me
  3. Hi, Here are a couple of buildings that I have built for a street scene. (Originally for a lego train display for the BLTG group). Lego Street by tikitikitembo, on Flickr I have just done a rebuild of my blue and tan building, but I am still not happy with it. I can't put my finger on what I dislike about it though (it is my third rebuild). So I would love some feedback on this building (what could make it better). rebuild by tikitikitembo, on Flickr Two of the buildings are furnished inside, including the above building (shown here in an earlier version of this building). The fireplace lights up, as does the bottom level of the building. Lego MOC - pet store living area 2 by tikitikitembo, on Flickr Thanks for looking. Edit to add: Someone was glad when I finished taking photos so she could play Mama build, Abi play by tikitikitembo, on Flickr
  4. For me, I think Christmas is about spending time with family around lots of food. So I think a family house, dinner scene would be a perfect addition. Although I love Lego food and would love some new types of Lego food, so a candy store would be perfect for that.
  5. This is a gorgeous MOC. Everything about it is perfect. So beautiful (I made my husband get off the couch and come over and look at it, that is how perfect it is)
  6. This is my daughter when we recently had a picnic in a local park, laughing at something her crazy papa (another Lego builder) was doing at the time . I don't have any pictures of me on Flickr, but I guess she is my favourite MOC Abi in the park by tikitikitembo, on Flickr
  7. I have a collection of the Hello Kitty Megabloks I love them, I have them stored with my smurf megablok sets I use the figures (and mushrooms, instruments and cakes) in layouts and builds and my toddler plays with the pieces. I also have a Mario knex character and plan on getting some more (I am not a purist though).
  8. I thought I would also give this a try. Here are the products I used (6% was the strongest peroxide I could find in Australian chemists, costs $3.99 for 100ml) I used white macaroni, which I find is the piece that suffers most from discolouring and left it to soak in the solution for about 2 hours (note: the piece on the top in the middle was a clean one that was not soaked). The picture does not show it, but some of the macaroni responded really well (while others only had a small change). I also used it on some pieces in my minifig graveyard (I have a hard time throwing away bad minifigs) and also had varying results (some responded well, some barely changed). Off topic: I have never noticed the change in the macaroni (see the top of the bottom left picture).
  9. These are just awesome. The use of parts in these are genius (Chapter 3, is just perfect, the castle, the colours the dragons... perfect).
  10. I just ordered one from Amazon france (so www.amazon.fr) and it was 115 delivered.
  11. Congratulations to the winners. They are both really awesome builds. And congratulations to all the entrants, there really were some clever ideas and well executed builds amongst them.
  12. Oh my goodness, I do have to have them all These are really awesome, all of them are cute, but Grimace Hello Kitty is just adorable.
  13. I love all the buildings, but the Chilli building is brilliant. It has a real built in the 70s feel with the stone work and I think it is gorgeous.
  14. Amazon France seems to have more Lego available internationally (Amazon US and Amazon UK tend to restrict most of it).
  15. I just noticed them in a Ninjago set also. I love them (they seem to have paneling on the back for a double effect.
  16. Oh, lego bricks with brick textured patterning... hmmm, how many 9440 sets will i need to buy to get enough of those pieces for the bottom story of a modular building It looks like one side has panels and one side has brick patterning, that is awesome... These pieces will make me very happy.
  17. This is a really cute minibuild. I actually like the dark red, I think it is nice having that gateway with a different coloured roof. All the elements of the castle are really clear, even in minibuild scale and is a really good representation of the real castle. Looking at the original building, I can see why you used some dark green, it does have two different toned greens in the roof.
  18. That is really clever and it looks so effective. I love it.
  19. That is awesome. I love the build, but even more than that, I love how you demonstrated it, very cute.
  20. Hey Taz, I missed seeing your MOCs so I am glad you are over here (because your work brilliant).

    Cheers

    Anita

  21. I agree, he looks a lot like Evel Knievel (hair and outfit). Which could be an inspiration for some really cool MOCs.
  22. I agree with the other comments, the colours are great, the awning fits well and the sign is awesome. Very nice MOC.
  23. At first when I saw the minifigs, I was horrified. But looking past the minifigs at the parts and colours that will be available, I am very much looking forward to buying these sets. And I have a 2 1/2 year old, she will love the figures (and mama can have all the delicious pieces). Edit: the German site seems to be back up
  24. I have been planning a Donnie Darko stop motion sequence already... I had planned on using this: Nesquick bunny But I like the white bunny much more.
  25. Very cool MOC. I love The Raven and it is awesome to see someone build it. I love all the elements, but especially love the minifig legs used as arms for the chair.
