  1. Hello, I am not sure I am in the right part of the forum. I haven't started making Lego films yet, I am just learning how to do stop motion (there is a competition to make a music clip and I have been wanting to try it out). Here is a mini practice: I use Corel video studio pro 4x, and a basic slr camera. What I would love to know is, how to make my work better, what are the best number of frames, how much movement and facial expression can we achieve and are their any tricks for doing this? If you have a number of people in a scene, how do you remember which ones you have already moved, how do you make sure your movement timing will match any talking or music? I have lots of questions, it is a slow, hard process, but lots of fun so far. (and I would love to learn how to do it well). Final video is here:
  2. I am in the process of changing my lego storage (it is a long and slow process). This is what it looked like earlier this year. I am now sorting more into colour than type of brick. I am also looking at getting large (and tall) garage storage shelves to hold it all (after hard rubbish day when I can throw the old cupboards out). I am looking at the garage shelving because they are big, sturdy, strong, deep and cheap.
  3. Thanks for the welcome and comments about my BS folder Milargo and Brickdoctor. The jar of vegemite turned out much larger than I expected (and I ran our of red 1x1 pipes, which is why there is an odd blue sprinkling at the top
  4. Hello there fellow gorgeous Lego builders, Lego collectors or general Lego enthusiasts. This is my obligatory introduction post. As a general summary, on these forums I imagine I will be found in the town and special lego themes forums. Here is a link to my brickshelf folder if you are frightfully bored and are curious as to what type of builder I am. I tend to have a short attention span and can jump from idea to idea very quickly (which means some of my buildings are a bit odd and not quite finished looking). I love building town stuff, have a soft spot for fabuland (and the mickey Lego range) and am heavily influenced by popular culture. I am not that great a builder, but they do say that practice makes perfect (so i will practice). I have a gorgeous family (including a two year old lego destroyer and a teenager who refuses to sort my Lego... even for money). My husband has just started building himself (which means I can buy even more Lego). There are some brilliant builders here on Eurobricks and I look forward to seeing some more brilliant MOCs and getting some constructive feedback on my work. Cheers Anita (a.k.a. the Lorax)
  5. This sounds like fun. I spend too much time in shopping malls, so maybe that time can be turned into something useful
  6. Wow, he looks great. I agree, it is amazing how basic bricks can come together for such a perfect looking papa smurf.
