  1. Thanks for the positive feedback everyone. I hope it works well in the library Christmas display. I should get cracking to see if I can finish the Australian summer Christmas scene now.
  2. My daughter is a tornado of destruction... and I still let her play with the Lego. I have a teenage son, who has only ever had a passing interest in Lego, so I am just excited that my daughter loves Lego and she has only needed to learn the lesson once, 1x1 round bricks might be the perfect shape to fit in the nostril, but that is not where we store them. And my son brought me out of my first dark age, so for me the Lego has always been around them, and it has always been about playing and fun for us, not collecting. 3. Thanks you. Originally I did have that idea (to go with my recent three little pigs house). So, maybe it will evolve into the witches house from Hansel and Gretel.
  4. Thanks, I am glad I don't have any lollies in the house, because building this has given me some serious cravings
  5. I am building a small thing (as a member of BLTG) for a library Christmas display, I was thinking of a stereotypical scene and maybe juxtaposing it with an Australian Christmas scene. Here is my stereotypical kind of scene, a gingerbread house with a liquorice all-sorts fence, lollipop trees and muffin shrubs. 6. That tree... wow... beautifully built.
  7. Hiding in the shadows (the back left of the MOC). I was going to build the three houses but I couldn't think how to represent the stick house in lego, but I might have a play.
  8. This is why you should never join an opposing guild to someone who has access to your Lego now... I will await the payback
  9. This is why you should never leave your Lego unattended... sleep with one eye open Matt... 10. You are going to be ground into dust and your dust will be thrown into the vermin filled pits of Nocturnus Edit to respond: That would be me
  11. Thanks again Here are a couple more photos. Pandora, here is more of the path I built into the landscape (and I love the fabuland pigs also, well I just love fabuland in its entirety And this is from the other side
  12. Thanks everyone for your comments. Darkdragon, I might look at getting a few other pictures today. I have now ordered a few witches, I never realised how many witches (or witch type women)feature in kids stories. Oh and I need little red riding hood, series 7, she will be awesome.
  13. The first little pig is building his house out of straw as his siblings go past, one is off to build his house out of sticks and the other to build her house out of bricks, while a shadowy figure lurks, watching in interest as his stomach grumbles. I have always been the first little pig, impatient and wanting to get things completed rather than perfected (so I am ultimately the wolf's dinner). This build is my tribute to being the first little pig. Three little pigs - Lego by tikitikitembo, on Flickr I am hoping to do a number of fairy tales and stories to connect in a modular kind of way (I think I might do Rapunzel or Hansel and Gretel next).
  14. Very cool, love the train coming out and the guys hat and face of the guy on the handcar. Very nice little scene, well put together.
  15. I only buy the Lego games for the pieces (although I did play and enjoy the frog game, I should buy another one to keep in the game form). Orient Bazaar as mentioned is brilliant for parts. Frog jump had all different coloured frogs which I wanted, I am going to probably buy the monster head one today, I just ordered 3 Ramses pyramids to get tan baseplates and the parts, Ninjago because I wanted the crates and green plates, and I have also just ordered some heroica games because I want the 2x2 jumpers (and other parts). They have a really interesting mix of pieces and when on sale, are awesome.
  16. I was thinking about doing a mail diverter (like hopshopgo) shop@home order, but I have never tried one and I am nervous about the end postage costs. My husband told me to stop looking at the US prices at shop@home because it makes me a bit cranks
  17. This looks like it will be brilliant. I especially love the entry to the apartments and also the stoves for the cake shop. Can't wait to see more as it progresses.
  18. Amazon US has ramses pyramid (3843) for $13.00, so 3 tan base plates (which is my main reason for buying them) are coming my way (along with some heroica games).
  19. We had something arrive yesterday from Amazon.fr (delivered by our Australia Post Parcel chap) and it arrived 10 days before the estimated date of arrival (they estimated it would take about 3 weeks). The UPS deliveries have all arrived really quickly (also before the estimated arrival date). I have just ordered something from the hut (a ninjago set), so if we get it before Christmas it will be a Christmas miracle
  20. Inspired by the Nocturnus Guild, the secret rituals of a dark Queen. Secret ritual by tikitikitembo, on Flickr I know it was not what we are building yet but I don't always follow the rules
  21. I would love Eastern Darklands Or Western grasslands.
  22. I hope so, because I am the same Although if leaders are picking teams, ignore my comment about me not knowing what is going on... so don't pick me last... too many memories of being picked last for soccer.
  23. I agree, this is a great resource for showing the collection of dresses released. I have just counted and I have 14 unique dresses (and a number of doubles). I am looking to get some more, so I will check in here to see what remains (although I probably won't get then all as some are quite dear). I am also looking forward to the series 6 and 7 ones coming out.
  24. I would just fill the laundry tub with really hot water and disinfectant and then I would just wash it and put it out to dry on some big towels. Oh and that box must be filled with awesome stuff, it would be like Christmas going through it (minus the poo). (I have children, so maybe that is why I am less grossed out, and know poo can be washed off almost everything
  25. I am going to go against the grain and say I want some These are going to be great fun, (I will definitely have a minifig on my desk at work telling people to 'go away'). It will also be cute to leave minifigs to pass on 'I love you' messages to my husband (if I leave early). Also on public train displays I could add some text to the figures.
