  1. I do wish we were getting something different for the Tatooine "Build a Galaxy" set. I was under the assumption that these would include new minifigures. A different Podracer would have been fantastic (ie. Ody Mandrell, Teemto Pagalies, etc.)! Then again I have a feeling that Lego is testing the waters with these, and we might see brand new minifigures made if this first wave is profitable.
  2. I agree with you here. I'm a big fan of sets based on Tatooine, and this would have been a great chance to give us a new Dewback, Jawas, Sandpeople, or even a brick built Krayt Dragon skeleton. A swoop is a welcome addition, but it would have been more at home in a Mos Eisley set (something else that I'd really like to see). That said, it does sound like a great set. I'll definitely be buying.
  3. He's from the new "The Padawan Menace" television special. Wouldn't want to spoil the surprise, though.
  4. Yeah, I agree. I guess "different" would have been a better word choice than a "new" hair piece. Dastan's style would fit perfectly.
  5. That's great! Brilliant use of the minifig trophy as Threepio, it works perfectly.
  6. Great job! This goes very nicely with your previous Death Star MOC. If only TLG would give us playsets this good!
  7. Hm... I was against the idea of another Jedi Starfighter at first, but this does sound very appealing. I hope they give Anakin a new hair piece.
  8. Personally, I hope it's something other than a Jedi starfighter. Those have been done to death IMO.
  9. Now this is the kind of revamp I'd be excited for! That looks fantastic, and similar to something Lego could do.
  10. That's great news about an X-Wing, if it's true! That's one vehicle that I don't have in my collection yet. I echo what others have said- I'd rather have Wedge or Biggs, but Porkins is a cool choice.
  11. $50 for the video game, T-shirt, and Batcave set combined can't be right. If so, we'd be looking at a $20 (at MOST) Batcave set. Hardly worthy of the title "Batcave".
  12. Let's get it straight--it's "Theed". Not "thweed". Carry on...
  13. Correct, the Naboo Starfighter is a Target exclusive priced @ $49.99.
  14. Don't forget, "Palpatine's Arrest" was one of the choices for the Fan's Choice set in 2008. It's very likely that some version of it could be released.
  15. Wow! So even though there are 5 ANH sets coming, none of them will be centered around the Cantina, Lars Homestead, Obi-Wan's house, or Yavin base??? Not only that, but they won't include ANY Sand People or Jawas?? That seriously cuts down on options for location/modular sets. And I hope we aren't getting only vehicles. There could be some kind of Death Star set, but I don't really see the point when 10188 covers all the bases (except to create cheaper Death Star sets).
  16. I believe the posters are from the other game on the site, Virtual Castle. You can unlock them by completing various tasks.
  17. Those pics were posted a little while ago, but thanks for bringing it up again. As much as I would like a bigger and better Black Pearl, the set is growing on me. Unfortunately I feel that this might be the last of the PotC line. With Target getting rid of various sets lately on clearance, it can't be a good sign that sales are doing as well as TLG hoped for...
  18. Now THAT sounds incredibly cool! Lego would be smart to play off of the warm reception to the new Podracers set. I would be in for more Podrace-themed minifigs/sets. Again, awesome!!! I figured that more ANH sets would be in the pipeline. Lego wouldn't go through the trouble of making an all-new hair mold for Luke, and not use it several times. I would LOVE to see a properly done Mos Eisley Cantina set, Lars Homestead, Obi-Wan's hovel, new Sandcrawler, or a Yavin IV base.
  19. ^^Wald's reaction to the "not useful" statement (and Kitster's reaction to not being in the set altogether)..!
  20. Well said, 22kane. I was (and still am) floored by images of this amazing set. The skill that went into designing such a monster of a set far surpasses my own, and I daresay, many of the building abilities in these forums. The flat bottom doesn't bother me- I'm just glad we're getting the Executor at all, and that they made the extra effort to make it minifig-compatible.
  21. I agree that the chances of getting an Outrider, let alone an EU set at all, are rather slim. That "shadows of the empire" part just seemed like too much of a coincidence.
  22. The phrase "Shadows of the Empire" itself immediately makes me think of the book of the same name. Maybe an Outrider set isn't too far off.
  23. These look great! I do hope TLG has some modular sets like these in the pipeline for the Super Heroes line.
  24. I like that idea. In fact, I'd love to see more sets from The Force Unleashed period. A Kamino cloning facility or Raxus Prime playset would be fantastic!
  25. Yep, definitely BIGGER. Although if it were only twice as big as the Wampa minifig, I think I could live with that.
