  1. That might indeed work. Can't test it yet as I only have one of these at the moment.
  2. Looking for some help: I need a gearing mechanism with one input, one output; if you switch direction of input then not only direction of output changes but also its speed. Maybe the new One-Way 20T gear (https://rebrickable.com/parts/114913c01/technic-gear-20-one-way/) could help (the back gear of the racing bike); maybe it can be done with differentials, ... I don't know, any idea welcome.
  3. Hey, thanks all! I'll keep it as is then, because it would indeed be more difficult to have the same structural strength if I would decrease the the diameter. I'll look into making the wings tiny bit longer. Engines will be turbofans: might not be very clear from images, but the wings are more typical for a jet engine plane. Also there are front leading slats and flaps, I don't think that combination occurs in combination with propellers Might surprise you, but having the engines rotate is actually not on my functions list. I only have 10 axles which will connect these functions to controls: - Front leading slats - Flaps - Ailerons - Air brakes - Rudder - Elevator - Wheel bays - Wheels up/down - Cargo bay front - Cargo bay back
  4. Working on a fictitious cargo plane. Plane will be on a stand and behind it there will be controls including a joystick for 10 functions (for example the wings alone already have four: ailerons, air brakes, slats, flaps). So the focus is on those functions, not on very high realism. I am however in doubt if I didn't make the fuselage too big compared to the wingspan: what are your opinions on this? Continue as is, or make the fuselage 2 studs smaller?
  5. Nearly the whole current Technic lineup is cars at the moment (terrible if you ask me); so anything non-car for the contest and I'm probably in.
  6. So basically loot-boxes aimed at kids; this should be banned.
  7. Amazing sculpting; like every piece seems to fit just right.
  8. Never seen such a negative review from a well known reviewer. We already had pretty big price increases over the past years, but then at least there was a lot of positive to say about these sets. This one is just a disgrace to me.
  9. Just rewatched the "grabber" piece 20 times, I love these kind of original mechanisms. Also, the last video with the circular track: what if you make that into an arcade claw game: let the train run at fixed speed but have the user control crane turn speed and grabber simultaneously; should be pretty challenging then to grab a container.
  10. Yeah, I went through many iterations with the train. Complicated does not seem to work better, this fairly simple design worked best. Make sure to have you top wheels to roll extremely smoothly. Bottom wheels only add friction, so here it are only pins so they don't actually touch the track (except for on the lifthill where in this case it's obviously needed)
  11. About a year after my first roller coaster (https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/forums/topic/197576-moc-roller-coaster) there is now v2. Widened the track from 7 to 9 which gives a bit more flexibility which came in handy especially for the lift. Still limited by the fact that you loose a lot of speed quickly, but at least I managed to get an inversion in as well as to get the trains around the track without some extra help. Started to run out of certain parts, but I also began to run out of table anyway ;-) There actually is a car in this picture: Transfer track. Underside of the trains is rather simple, but after many attempts this turned out to be the most "efficient" (in terms of keeping speed) solution. 12. Is by that definition a roller coaster a vehicle? Are illegal building techniques allowed?
  13. We see enough super cars etc. This is really original. Love the seats.
  14. Thanks guys, I'll get myself an Xbox controller
