  1. Looking great. Was hoping someone would do this set. I built this in black a few years ago with a v4 in the front.
  2. Got 8292 Cherry picker for $60.00 NZD last week. Had to buy 42008 service truck after that. Now I'm looking for 8052 container truck. Dam these midsized trucks
  3. Looks good. But a bit flimsy in the middle? Have anyone figgered out the pump system yet? I'm guessing it's a manual pump. I've seen a video on YouTube that also says this.
  4. Can you do a render next to 42008. Interesting to see what the size difference would be like. Sadly I swapped my 42008 for the 42056 Porsche.
  5. After looking at the "leaked" photos, have to say it looks like a good set. The colors are a bit off putting. I'll definitely be getting it. I'm currently working on a 3 axel mack with the rear section off 42008 grafted on.
  6. I believe that all sets could be motorized. Even the smallest sets. Right up until the mirco sets came out & the motor & battery box was upgraded
  7. In later sets. The earlier sets had the most meltaic parts. I think that pin jointer part was used in the exhaust stacks.
  8. I started a tread about the same topic a while back. The first sets released had all 10 wheels & some other parts in metallic color. The later sets only had 6 metallic wheels & the last sets had none.
  9. Wouldn't want the parts going up the side then falling back down. Could rick damaging them.
  10. Can't use the washing machine. I have a front loader. Iv used dish washing soap & hot water for lose parts. Leave them to soak for an hour in large trays. Kitty litter trays are good for thus. Unused of course. Strain out the water & leave on a towel on my deck to dry. As for linear actuators/shocks/electronics etc, I wipe them down with damp cloth. If its really discolored I use peroxide on the cloth & leave in the sun.
  11. Looks really nice. Reminds me of the Blues Brothers. 1 note, would it not be more period correct to have a live axel in the rear? Or is this a restmod?
  12. I think it will be in the same line as 42078 & 42098 trucks. Both these sets have a high part count due to the trailer/cargo. Would be nice to have a tow truck in this scale as I believe 42008 is a bit small.
  13. I think its called ribbon cabel. But I don't know the size
  14. 42082 Ruff Terrain Crane would be my pick. The gearboxes are better then 42055 BWE plus more usable parts.
  15. Just got 42112 concrete mixer & 42108 mobile crane for $319.90 NZD brand new from farmers. Thats 184 euro
  16. After looking at the local lego store site, they seem to have the best value. I'll buy from them
  17. Hey there all. I'm looking for some power functions motors & battery boxes. I'm looking on ebay at some of the stores but I'm not sure if there genuine or clones. I know people doing the GBCs use a lot of them. Do they just buy them at retail? Or if anyone has 1/2 a dozen they wouldn't mind selling I'd be keen. Thanks
  18. I got close. $320 ,nzd or $213 us for a open box but sealed bags from a lego show last year.
  19. Looks like fun. Also kinda looks looks like bad CGI in a cheap movie. But in a good way. I can't help feeling like it looks like an early 80s futuristic syfi movie. But I can't think with one.
  20. Makes me feel bad that 1 have 4 of them in my parts bins being unused. Very nice backhoe. Looks good, functions well.
  21. You could always go front wheel drive with trays under the rear wheels? Would be funny as hell.
  22. Looking at the list, I hope there is at least 1 vehicle that fits the 42098 car transporter. And following on from that, is the 42098 car transporter being retired? If it is then I hope we get another mid size truck & trailer model. I think they make good models
  23. Oh, thats a tuff choice. I have both do prefer the rtc. I would get it first as its cheaper. Once its gone, then you'll see the prices go up. I wouldn't think the bwe will get any more expensive. Are you only buying new or are you looking at used sets?
  24. Last reno took 4 years. But this one will be quicker. I've looked at storage. We will end up putting everything into storage once the new flooring arrives. We will either drop a shipping container in the driveway our take everything to a storage place
  25. Hi guys & girls. Sorry for the late reply. I've been busy demolishing the main bathroom. Thanks for all the suggestions. I've always wondered about this. So I've decided after looking at some of my older sets from the 80s 90s that I'll strip all the sets down. Wash, dry & check for cracked parts. Check the inventorys & order any replacement parts. The Reno will be over 9 month's. 2x bathrooms. 1x kitchen. Full internal plaster & repaint. New heat pumps. And new hardwood timber floors throughout the house. That's the inside. Full exterior repaint & landscaping. New timber stairs etc. Used rebrickable last night & the total came to 66 sets. Just shy of 70000 parts.
