I can echo everyone else's praise. This is a really nice build. For my two pence, I'd like to see those large blocks of colour (like the road) broken up by some extra shades. Even a horse crap in the middle of the road makes for a nice, realistic touch.

José's Inn - Ye Olde BoBS Drinking Hole
Ross Fisher replied to Darnok's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Brilliant. In the UK, November 2 is AFOL discount day, so I'm heading into town to make it rain ? -
@Maxim I Thanks! Hades is, after all, a Cthonic deity; concerned with the soil, and everything that goes into it...

[OL-FB] Armorer's Workshop - Acropolis Naval Yard

*Your entry has earned 3 XP* Returning from that first trip, I was exhausted, and nervous. I knew the value of my own work, but would the High Council? I had to persuade them of my value, and I had no idea who they were or what they were like. I remember being met off the shuttle by a Stormtrooper. This was the man I would go on to know as Private Joka, and he was responsible for showing me to my quarters. Apparently the Triumvirate decided to send a man to do a mouse droid's job. I could never get used to the professional military types. So by-the-book and disciplined that we might as well have kept the clankers instead and saved on meals. In fact, the only time I could get him to open up was when I mentioned being cramped up from sitting in that damn shuttle for hours at a time. That was when this kid (and I suspect he knew exactly what he was doing) casually mentioned that he liked to cool off by sparring in one of the training grids. Now, I've rattled my fair share of sabres in my time. As a younger man I was pre-eminent among the usual set. Even if I hadn't practiced in a few months, or years, I figured I could show this young blood a trick or two. So I gamely followed him to the grid; fully believing his advice. And there, and then, this floppy-haired private proceeded to thrash me from one end of the arena to the other. Honestly, I doubt I made contact more than five or six times in the whole half hour. By the end of it all I had completely forgotten about the cramped shuttle, and had a whole series of new and far more interesting aches and pains. When I finally got to my quarters, I was very happy to be able to wash and sink into happy unconsciousness. I just had to hope that was the last time I underestimated the Triumvirate.

Settlement: Weelond, An Holli, Eslandola

Padré Verroc has built some new structures for Oktoberfest. They will be licensed as a small commerce.- 80 replies

My dear Abbé François, You may remember our plan this time last year to provide succour for the people of Weelond during their annual Oktoberfest? I suspect that you also remember it not going exactly to plan... In my attempt to provide relief to the Eslandolan people, I have decided to take a different tack: I have built a set of festival privvies into the harbour wall. The people of Weelond are generally supportive; it gets the stink away from their alleyways after all. What's more, and refuse build-up is cleared away twice a day. I don't charge for their use - after all, charity begins at home - but I have made a nice little pile of doubloons selling toilet paper at a reasonable rate. All things considered, I should come away with a good amount of cash to rebuild the church roof. Wishing you well, Padré Verroc

*Your entry has earned 3 XP* If the fact-finding mission to Mimban was a misery and Ruusan was a frustration, the subsequent envoy to Kamino was much more to my liking. Officially, my job on that water-world was to wrap up the clone project that had begun nearly 30 years previously. Unofficially, I was looking forward to relaxing in civilised company, and doing some honest business. The Kaminoans were sympathetic to my mission, but reluctant to put the wheels in motion for me. Sure, they wanted to draw a line under that bit of history, but they weren't convinced that the Triumvirate were the appropriate people to do it with. Suggestions were raised that the New Republic were the natural successors to the Old Republic. But I pointed out that the New Republic itself claimed a big difference there, whereas the distinction between the Old Republic and the Empire was purely branding. The Triumvirate were simply the most business-minded remnant of that Empire left. In the end, I was able to win them over by offering exclusivity on any future cloning operations carried out for the Triumvirate. Frankly, I didn't see us using that option much in the future, and it wasn't really something the Kaminoans could contest in the breach. Likely it was just something that they wanted to have if they needed to justify the decision internally. And for my efforts, I got to be the one who handed over 30 years of documents, DNA records, and all sorts of secrets. Better they stay with us than end up in someone else's hands.

Thanks. The build really didn't take me long at all. Literally just putting plants in a field, so I wanted to have a few extra details to raise it up. The Bouncer is one of my more unique builds for this episode, I'm proud of the way Fnab's rifle sits on his back, and the scope effect worked nicely as well!
