I'm glad to see Pirates has made an entry back once again, it's just a shame the majority of the sets are just redesigns of previous sets. Another irk I have is I remember back in 2009 buying 6241-1 Soldiers Fort and I loved it, very well built, 6 minifigures, four of which were Red coat soldiers and a lovely Admirals uniform and 367 pieces. This year they've released the same set idea except you get 124 less bricks, one less minifigure and what looks like a bare skeleton of a fort, If this goes for the same retail price as the original Soldiers Fort It'll be disappointing that it would seem LEGO were trying to make the most money out of their customers without giving them much for their money.

During the times you're stating Fort defences in colonies could be manned by a detachment of the Royal Regiment of Artillery or local recruits trained into cannoniers, now if the temperature and climate of the port was quite warm, for example in the Caribbean or Indian forts many gunners would fire the cannons in the mist of action without their jackets on and would then mostly look all white, with a waistcoat, shirt, trousers and gaiters. However in forts such as Fort Amherst, one of the largest Napoleonic forts in Europe above Chathams Royal Dockyards, the artillery detachments would wear full uniform. If you're looking for a 'Royal Artillery' styled uniform and do not wish to result to decals to get a 100% accurate uniform, I'd advise using the Collectible Minifigures 'Revolutionary Soldier' uniform with the Pirates of the Caribean white laced tricorne. As it is as close as you could get without the use of accurate decals to the real American Revolutonary Era Royal Artillery, unless you're going for a more 'Napoleonic' look? This is the style of Royal Artillery uniforms as they looked in 1775 and remained fairly unchanged until about 1803 when the British Army began to bring in closed buttoned jackets whilst retaining the same deep blue, red serge facings and flat yellow/gold worsted lace.

Does anyone play Mount & Blade: Napoleonic Wars at all? I would have expected more members from the Pirate forums playing the game but from what I know, I'm the only one? My regiment A linebattle we attended

Ahoy! Recently I decided to get Skyrim for PC as it was 50% on Steam even though I already have it and completed it on Xbox, because I fancied adding mods as I did to my lovely Oblivion. Anywho, enthralled with excitement, I failed to think 'Would it work well?' it was in the back of my mind, well in the end I managed to get 10 fps whilst running. I assumed it was some settings that were affecting my game as my brother had recently bought this Gaming PC. It was a build, Galaxy 3 body with a Cyborg Gaming Keyboard, R.A.T. 3 mouse and a HP 2311x monitor. These are the specs: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit Intel Core i5-2380P CPU @ 3.10Ghz, 3401 Mhz 4 Core ATI Radeon HD 5400 1Terrabyte Disk Drive 8 GB RAM It runs most of my usual games, Team Fortress 2, Garrys Mod, Mount & Blade: Warband etc well as expected since they aren't really 'graphic heavy' games and focus more on the simplicity and gameplay, rather than beauty. Anyway, to the point, I was told on the Nexus forums that my graphics card was holding me back, the HD 5400 series is apparently out of date compared to the 6000 and 7000 series being produced. But I didn't like the idea of having to pay an arm and a leg for a £100-200 graphics card when the PC with all this together was about £400-600, as well as money being tight at the moment. So after hours of searching for graphics cards, almost frying my brain, I picked out a few but in the reviews it's all 'expert jargon' speaking of '2.1 hubs connected to the 30.5 Ghz 0203io53 cisco kelskf 020202 system' which isn't helpful to someone who just wants to play a fantasy game without interruption or lag. So which of these is the best to be able to run Skyrim on Ultra detail or just High detail? GeForce GTX 650 1024MB GDDR5 - $104.99 GIGABYTE GV-R677D5-1GD Radeon HD 6770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 - $89.99 MSI AMD Radeon HD 7770 1024MB GDDR5 - £86.99 MSI AMD Radeon HD 7750 2048MB GDDR3 - £69.98 SAPPHIRE TECHNOLOGY Radeon HD 7770 - 1 GB GDDR5 - £80 Or any you reccomend that aren't there? I want to get a graphics card that goes 'above and beyond' preferably so I won't have to update it anytime soon + when the PC gets older, it won't just fail on me. Thanks guys!

Pictoral Review: NYCC TMNT Black Turtle Minifig
Joey Lock replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm just going to sit here and wait for all the Lego Purists who hate on Mega Bloks to comment 'Wow this is great!'. Seem's LEGO is the 'rip off' this time, using an idea that's already been done before it was cool. -
Why not the United Kingdom? Or even the country that LEGO originated from? Typical United States forgetting other countries in the world exist again.
-
It looks gorgeous! Proud to be British! Great review!

I wasn't a fan of the whole Olympic franchise at first seeing how much money was wasted on it. But I admit, from getting one a Sainsburys earlier today I have to say the Archer is rather nice, especially the hair.

I assumed that was the sole purpose of the topic, to use it.

Well I've been on and off Eurobricks for a few months recently, nowhere near as much as I used to. I had a few relational hiccups around December time which kind of put me off, then all the stress from A Levels on top of that didn't leave me much time for my joys of Lego. However now after my A Levels are done, I'm back with free time. Just not a free flow of money to buy new parts. But if any of you have wondered or missed me, not that you have but I'm back.

Cannot get this song out of my head. It's on Comedy Centrals 30 Rock advert, anyone know what they're saying or what the song is? Anyone?

For England, For Home, And for the prize! It's a shame there is no frontpage celebration for St. Georges Day, just wait till the 4th of July, there will be some form of front page news about it since it's not really 'euro' bricks anymore seeing as most admins are Americans non-europeans, our holidays aren't much fuss it seems. Anyway, We've always got this thread! A little patriotic video for us Brit's!
-
Finally, something we get before the United States!
-
I'd prefer if people wrote about their own opinions always, I say go for it!

Ben Cooper does not get enough popularity. He deserves it.

Whilst having coffee with my friend, she showed me a song on her iPod and since then I haven't been able to get it out of my head. It's a South Korean song: It tells a whole movie type story in a simple music video, it's amazing.

None of their songs are bad or failures. They're unique.

In recent months (since around September 2011) till now I've been hectically busy with my A2 Course at Sixth Form and have had barely any time with LEGO, Only building small mocks such as a self propelled anti-tank gun and collect a few Romans from the collectible minifigs series during a free lesson I had to pop to Sainsburys in time. I have had the time yes, but just not the energy or enthusiasm to bother, LEGO Is my hobby yes but if I rebuild the Unicorn, spend another £100 odd pounds and another month re-designing the sections I want to, I can't see it being to the best of ability that it could be. However I walked into my brothers room (My old room) and saw it there, slowly bits fall off when my brother moves stuff and thinks cause I've taken bits off it for other mocs, it's not in use anymore, But I saw it and I remembered how much it made me happy, it was one of the main things I actually had a interest and was proud of, so I broke off the front section, the bow and 2 prefabs and decided to rebuild it, to see it in its former glory as most of the big sections are still intact. I realised when running out of bricks to use, I rushed the black sides, making them very uneven, using inverted slope bricks as replacements for 1x1 bricks I didn't possess. It couldn't had an interior with bricks like that sticking out inside. So I decided what would be a good idea, and also easier for moving it would to be cut it into 3 prefab hull sections each, using technic tubes to connect them and other connections I'll work out eventually. This would also be easier to complete the interior as it would be similar to cross-sectioning the ship and decks into sections. The Unicorn will come back, and will look better, although I wanted to fully interior and tile the decks that will come later on, during the Summer when I finish education for good. But for now, the Unicorn is slowly coming back.

I like the idea of the variants but I'm sure people are anticipating items that have been in the 'prototyping' stage for at least a year now whereas every release a new US Weapon gets released that not many people really asked for to be made and did not seem needed. Like the Kar98k, Mosin Nagant and DP28, They're needed. Variants of the M16 can be made by customising pieces and sticking them on previous M4s

I did not mean to offend anyone and I did think about it before I posted it. I've seen MOC's with the Swastika and even LEGO SS Officers, just look at the Other Themes forum, I did not think a video of a march, of marching bands which no one had to click on in the first place would offend anyone.

Sorry if this offends anyone [...]

Alot of Desert Vultures are going to be entering my future armoury.

You my good sir, have been ripped off. I managed to make a near exact detail replica of a similar one I saw on Brickshelf merely by eye and overall it probably cost me £5 in my electricity bill.
