  1. You're in Canada, right? I've gotten confirmation that the Canadian price for the Helicarrier will be $400.
  2. Well I don't know about anyone else, but I don't even have a car to make payments on, so that makes it a lot easier to justify the expense.
  3. $50ish sounds like a good price for, oh I don't know, the Eames House? Okay, that's probably wishful thinking. Still, three this year is better than the two we got last year.
  4. For starters... Steam! Most steampunk builds I've seen use stacks of white ice cream pieces to represent steam, and the MBA steampunk set used white 2x2 domes.
  5. Honestly the closest match I can think of is the red Afro from the Series 1 clown, but even that's way off. Exo Force hair might kind of work, though it is very angular. And then there's Black Widow's new hairpiece in the upcoming Quinjet set, but I think that's dark orange. Hope some of that helps; good luck hunting!
  6. I used to spend them pretty much as soon as I got them, but about a year and a half ago I started making a conscious effort to save them up. Last year I got the Parisian Restaurant for $50. I currently have enough saved up that if I buy the Helicarrier during double points, I can get the Detective's Office for free.
  7. I brought up the same thing earlier, but someone pointed out that the Sea Cow reveal may have been deliberately delayed until after the movie was widely released. I'm gonna go ahead and keep my hopes up.
  8. I know they're not guaranteed to come out this month, but considering the Helicarrier is getting a VIP release on February 17th, it does seem reasonable to expect pictures and a designer video a month or so in advance, as tends to be the case with most D2C sets.
  9. This is my feeling too. Nice to see that so many people prefer the new one though - that means I can easily find someone to trade with!
  10. It's also in one or two of the new swamp police sets that are already out in City.
  11. I have it but haven't built it yet. I'm hoping I'll have time in the near future to post some pictures.
  12. I keep getting redirected to a weight loss web site. I know I could stand to drop five pounds or so, but that's rather blunt, don't you think?
  13. Did anyone ever find instructions for that peacock D-model from Rainforest Creatures?
  14. There's still no confirmed street date for the AoU sets, but based on the fact that A. the Helicarrier is confirmed for a March 1 general release, and B. the GotG sets came out two months before that movie released, I'd say March 1 is a safe bet.
  15. I bought the Tumbler for the Tumbler, and consider the minifigs a nice bonus. I suspect my attitude toward the Helicarrier will be the same. There are figures I'd like to see, but I ultimately want to see a big, detailed, challenging build.
  16. I'd say Nick Fury and Phil Coulson are almost guaranteed, and I'm really hoping for Maria Hill as well. Beyond that, maybe some Avengers variants.
  17. I think Mencot's talking about the Juniors pirate set, but I'm not even sure about that one - I think the next Juniors lineup isn't due until March either.
  18. Anakin's Custom Jedi Starfighter is now listed on S@H.
  19. The reason people are asking about Snake specifically is because we've already seen the mold for his head, so he has to turn up somewhere.
  20. Two more Classic sets have surfaced: http://brickset.com/sets/10698-1/Large-Creative-Brick-Box http://brickset.com/sets/10695-1/Creative-Building-Box The first one costs $59.99; no price confirmed yet for the second but I'd guess around $40.
  21. Target does occasionally have exclusive sets. Creative Ambush from The LEGO Movie line was a Target exclusive (in the US at least) if I recall correctly.
  22. Next Monday in LBR stores, New Year's Day online.
  23. Nope. Just go to the Ideas website and look at the "In Review" section. Helicarrier isn't in it because it didn't reach 10k votes until after the deadline for the current review period had passed, so it doesn't even enter review until the next period. The one on Ideas wasn't even posted until May of this year, and I can guarantee the official LEGO version has been in development much longer than that. Several Ideas projects (Sandcrawler and Tumbler most notably) have been rejected because they were similar to projects already in development, which just goes to show what a terrible idea it is to base proposals on IPs that TLG is already working with, and every single time, people with no conception of how the development process works whine that TLG "stole" the idea.
