Software! What do you plan to use? Firstly to animate?
-
Was it 30 days? I'm actually not sure now.

I really love this skin...BUT, It is Pirates month, and we really haven't had a full month for it. Even though it is christmas, I would prefer to maintain the Pirate skin as Pirates didn't really get a fair go.

CPT. Jr, I can answer some of these questions for you. I know that Doug uses Adobe Premiere (Although Vegas is my choice too) and Adobe Photoshop, and I'm pretty sure he uses Stop Motion Pro too. Would you be able to give me some lessons in blender? Meh, I'll PM you about it. And is there a thread for this film you speak of?
-
Thanks for that Phred! Just a tip - if you want to have a successful thread an idea would be to take this link and put it in your first post so that people can have a comparison.
-
Fantastic! I would say this is frontpage quality if you could fix up one little thing. The tape on the sails is just too big!!! Cut smaller strips, then this MOC will be perfect. Well done.

Doesn't it have a thread?

Pillage the Village Voting - MEDIUM DIVISION
Captain Zuloo replied to Bonaparte's topic in Pirate MOCs
7. Fat Tony - Marooned 19. RoVer - Pirate Invasion - Caribbean Port 15. pe668 - Buried Trash 'n' Treasure All of them great enries, but my first choiice was because that's just the sort of thing I can see a LEGO pirate doing if they were alive. RoVer, your entry is brilliant, but you almost lost your vote from me because although the admins gave the ok, I feel as though this entry may have abused the overhang rule a bit too much. But very well built - you are obviously a very talented builder. Last and least not least, pe668! This MOC lacks techniques and adventurous ways of working with the LEGO brick that entries like RoVer's, but Ilove this little entry. The concept is great, and the way you worked around problems (their footprints) was fantastic. So this could easily have come first. But everyone did an excelent job, both in thinking up an idea and executing it. Some better than oothers, but almost all of them very valid entries. -
You must have a very good quality printer! Those images look great. And the pick-a-brick is also awesome. Very well done. My vote for best shop MOC of 2008!

Why Can't I Add a Poll to My Thread?
Captain Zuloo replied to Algernon's topic in Forum Information and Help
Is it just me or is this a pointless topic? I mean, the answer to the question has been answered about 5 times by 5 different people! -
Are you ok with the stop motion process and how to make a stop motion film?

Is the LEGO Pirates Forum too chaotic? Are sub-forums needed?
Captain Zuloo replied to Mazin's topic in LEGO Pirates
No, you should be shot. I can see what you're saying, but I have a big argument here: Would you like to be the Mod or Admin that has to move poorly posted items into their correct sub forums? And would you like to be the one to move them all initially? I don't think you realise how lucky we are and how good our members of authority are to us. Do you realise how much of their lives they commit to making our browsing experience as good as possible? You know the saying "With great power comes great responsibility"? That x1000 is what our Moderators and Administrators have. HEAPS of responsibility. We shouldn't ask for such a huge feat to be achieved, especially at a time like this with PTV ending and new pirates almost on the shelves. Another thing, before I went to broadband, it took me at least 2 minutes most days to open up the frontpage of Eurobricks. So adding even more pages to load would be really unfair on anyone unfortunate enough not to have a high speed connection. -
COMING SOON: passenger trains (10-wide, MLCAD)
Captain Zuloo replied to Diamondback's topic in LEGO Town
Hey, just a word of advice, don't post until you have at least some WIP shots as people will see it now and they won't return when images are added because in their memory there are no pictures in this post. Does that make sense? Anyway, I look foward to seeing you MOCs. Just a tip! -
What? That could just be the way it's written, but that wasn't a very considerate comment. I would recommend you don't make comments like that in future.

Very good! Frontpage quality I'd say! Although I think the fatuige is getting to him - he seems to be very close to the water with an UNGAURDED CHEST!!! Well done on this MOC. I like it.

17. pe668 - Colonic Cannonball 41. Captain Zuloo - Dinner Time! 33. zorro3999 - You have been sentenced to death by immurement! Colonic Cannonball This is by far the best entry of them all! It is very original, and as I pointed out in the thread, there were similar torture methods used by Asian pirates. So not so original after all eh? Dinner Time! It looks bad to vote for yourself I know, but I really put a lot into this. I planned it all out and rebuilt it over 20 times. And to get that table to have skeleten legs - shudder at the thought. So I think I made quite a valid entry. And thanks to everyone who votes for me. zorro3999 - You have been sentenced to death by immurement! I really liked this. Because there could be nothing worse at all in the world than this punnishment. This is cruel, hence, this is great! And good luck to everyone.

Why Can't I Add a Poll to My Thread?
Captain Zuloo replied to Algernon's topic in Forum Information and Help
Correct, you do need to have 500 + posts (don't post stupidly though), however for purposes of a review, someone of authority here could add one to your review. EDIT: I see KimT beat me to it! -
99.9% modular then. Well done anyway.
-
Good, but I fail to see how this ship can be modified in width.
-
Well, it was the knight, but it had nothing to do with the fact he had a knife. The knight was the fourth in the line, and each introduction takes 1 minute. So johnny Thunder, Construction worker and space man have their introductions. That takes three minutes. After four minutes a scream was heard. So three minutes plus the last minute of the knight makes four. Thus, the knight was the murderer. Thanks for this. It was fun.

In my opinion, you should use sticker paper, as if you place it on correctly, you can avoid bumps that occur from glue.

WHAT??? That's the whole point of the contest! Great pirate you are...

Fantastic work Phred!!! I was wondering how soon this will be completed, but by these images, you might have it done pretty soon! So the knobs control the anchor?

Buy 2009 LEGO Pirates from S@H or Toys R Us
Captain Zuloo replied to General Armendariz's topic in LEGO Pirates
Well isn't this good news! Come to think of it, if they put these sets out before christmas all over the rest of the world, it would probably be a very smart marketing move. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. And thank you Zorro for your fantastic Classic-Pirates.com frontpage post. -
