Looks beautiful mate! Very wide too though. Is it 8 or 10 wide? I really like the way you have captured the curves of the real loco. Very well done, keep it up!

Murder on the Emerald Express: Chapter 1
Captain Zuloo replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Ah, welcome everyone! Now let me see your tickets so we can be on our way. We don't want any stowaways ruining your trip! And did you know that the original locomotive number on the Flying Scotsman was 1472 rather than the better known 4472? In fact, I once rode on the Flying Scotsman when I was in London... But anyway, welcome aboard the Emerald Express, today pulled by LRTS loco no. 10194! -
Of course, but I'm seeing this 'making of' on tomorrow's frontpage...

Murder on the Emerald Express: Characters
Captain Zuloo replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Hello everyone, I'm Maxwell Snyder and I'm the conductor of the Emerald Express. I look foward to meeting you all during our journey! By the way, did you know that the BT10 bogie was introduced on the British Rail Mark 3 coach in the 1970s? Each wheel is separately connected to the bogie by a swing-arm axle. -
It seems like I'mnot the only one, butI'm kinda getting tired of TLG going out into this sort of territory. I understand that they aren't doing it themselves as much as selling the brand name to other companies, but I find that it takes away from the 'LEGO Brick manufacturer' look. I dunno, I probably sound like a wierdo, but I don't like it. The clothes and watches are one thing, but phones, mp3 players, USB sticks, cameras and sunglasses are another... Not to say that I won't be getting myself a pair of these.

Murder on the Emerald Express: Rules
Captain Zuloo replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
So the 12 individuals won't be sending CC's then? And sorry about all my questions, this is my first Murder Mystery. -
Ok, so many of you will be aware of the interview series, 'Behind the Helm' which has been running for many weeks now. So the question is, are you getting out of it as much as we're putting into it? The problem is, it is a time consuming process to produce BTH, and I have lost seep due to international time zones. Not that I'm not prepared to sacrifice some sleep for Classic-Pirates.com, but I could do other things that wouldn't be in the middle of the night. So what is BTH worth to you? Please tell the truth, I want to make the most of my time doing good and usefull things to benefit you guys. Cheers, Captain Zuloo

Have fun at the EB event everyone! If I lived in Europe, you can count on it that I'd be there.

Murder on the Emerald Express: Rules

I only recall recieving the CC function when I became Shipyard Master. -
Erd, I'm really enjoying seeing you really getting into MOCs. I think your ideas are brilliant (the mushrooms in this one just rock) and I'm certain I'll be seeing a 'MOC Expert' tag near your name in the future. Keep up the good work buddy!

Our member pe668 did just that with his LEGO layout. Well similar anyway, he uses RCX to stop his trains at the station. Google 'Bodville' for more.

Hmmm... I wouldn't say you should go with 12v just for the complex wiring etc. It is just way too expensive. I think you would be far better off goin 9v and, like CGH suggested, using DCC on your trains, wiring up computer controlled signals etc. I think you could get your mechnics kick out of 9v for a cheaper price too.

I can't say I ever spilt coffee on a MOC, but when I was making my 10194 Emerald Night review, I accidentally knocked the track sending all three parts of the set flying off my deck railing and into the plants...it just had to be a green train in a green garden didn't it. Also, when I got 6098 King Leo's Castle, Christmas 2000, I walked out after spending hours building it to show off to my family, when I tripped over the open fridge door... Now that one did hurt.

A stunning piece of work Bonaparte! She's even more brilliant than you described her in our Skype interview! This is truly a masterpiece, and I hope you are as pleased with your handywork as the rest of us are! This is set as the frontpage news for tomorrow!

Well done Ice Cream! Your wonderful technique in the water is really an eye catcher. Excellent piece of work matey! Thank you for sharing.

It means you can only post links with .jpg .gif .png etc. Only links with image file extentions are accepted. All other file extentions such as .html .pdf .doc .avi etc. within the [/img] tag are refered to as dynamic pages. I hope this helps.

I like your fortress. Was it inspired by the Alamo at all?
-
Awesome! It's great to know that I've inspired someone to build with LEGO! Something like that. Either way I wouldn't want his extra hot food! Thanks for the good comments everyone!
-
Hound Knight, these are excellent. Thank you very much for drawing my sigfig, I really appreciate it. Your drawings are brilliant! And the best thing about it, it doesn't resemble me at all! It certainly represents my sigfig though. Thanks heaps mate.
-
Wow, your sigfig does get around!

Advice for building a cowcatcher for my steam locomotive
Captain Zuloo replied to jonwil's topic in LEGO Train Tech
A quick Brickshelf search returned this: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=21720 Good luck! -
I don't think so. Unless a user displays their email address in the folder description or you know the user name from a blog/forum etc, there's no way of contacting them. But if they're stupid enough to advertise a sale without any means of contacting them, I'd be a little worried about giving them my money.

Review: 10128 Train Level Crossing
Captain Zuloo replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Sadly. the Emerad Night doesn't. It is about a stud too wide to fit into the shed. Great review TheBrickster! The only bone I have with this set is the footbridge. It needs railing, and it kind of looks thrown together with reallly only 4 main parts in it. But thanks for the review mate! -
That's bigger? Do you have Brickshelf or Flickr so that you can make use of these tutorials?
