  1. Looks great! I wish I could have been there. Great job, give your club my congrats (maybe that way if I'm in Perth in the near future I might have a chance of being welcome. )
  2. In many aspects, this loco is similar to 10194, but you have made it your own well done there. How do you plan to power this beauty?
  3. Actually, I think you'd be looking at a piece of JavaScript. Your best bet is probably to ask someone to write it for you, then request an admin to add it to your sig.
  4. Ok, but if you mess up the system, we'll shoot you. Actually, I'm beginning to think you're the council member. He was the first to accuse the mayor of being evil, he could well have hit me with the meat clever and he's currently trying to destroy the point system so that the Emerald Express can never leave town. In fact... *punches Howard in the face knocking him backward before he touches the switch* Keep your gun on him Elanor.
  5. *grabs Mark's arm before he can touch the switch* No! If you touch these without knowing what you're doing, you could destroy the whole line switching system. And if you do that, we may NEVER get out of this town. Although I do like your idea of examining the maps points and the points here. Did anyone wonder why the map was hidden behind a poster behind a locked door?
  6. *walks up the stairs* Ok, let's not touch anything. Hmmm...maybe that 'X' on the window is the one that the map refers to. Does anyone else think it a little strange that a simple signal box is marked with a mark of such importance? Maybe it's a little more than a signal box after all...
  7. 9v or Power Functions? 9v, you can have 2 trains on the same track before it becomes a problem. You could of course put DCC decoders in the motors though and control as many as you wish using DCC, but that's quite costly. Power Functions can have as many trains on the track as the 8 channels on the controller. Although I'm not sure I'd be coordinated enough to be able to run that many at the same time without a big train pile-up!
  8. This is frontpage tomorrow! Brilliant my friend. I'm glad that you decided to post.
  9. Is there a group shot at all? And it looks awesome man. Thanks for doing all these photos. EDIT: Ah, I see we still have to wait a small while for the group shot.
  10. 1st of July in Myer.
  11. She looks excellent Admiral! I look foward eagerly to seeing her with sails. Well done!
  12. I'll follow into the signal tower. Are we actually at the X, or are we at the crossing?
  13. Yes, it might be an idea for me to sit in the front to regain life points *cough*note I slept and should have some life points added TheBrickster*cough*. Oh, and here's your gun Elanor. *hands her the gun* Hey, wouldn't it be funny if the X on the map led directly to a train shed with an X on the wall and a trapdoor leading into mystery. Unlikely though.
  14. Brilliant review of a brilliant set! I'm not sure how you did it, but you made those cars look long and acceptable on their own in your images. That sadly isn't at all the case. They look very short, tall, and stubby on their own. But when put with each other... This is a great set, and you have more than done it justice. Well done!
  15. Only problem being that in my opinion the Blue and Redcoats are Brits... Excellent ship mate! I look foward to frontpaging this one! Keep up the awesome work.
  16. Great idea TheBrickster! Where should we post creations?
  17. Argh, the best day possible to you matey! You got a car for your birthday?
  18. Well, firstly, I would recommend you held off for a bit and bought a train such as 10194 Emerald Night from the new Power Functions system rather than the RC one. And although the controls are via a remote control, there is no reason why you have to hold it, just holding it is possible. Easy enough to just stick your controller on the table next to your track though.
  19. I think you should post some WIP photos. That way we can offer you constructive feedback.
  20. *yawns* Well, you guys check the truck, after my injury, I'm very tired and as we haven't slept even as day breaks now, I can barely keep my eyelids open. So wake me when the truck is deeped safe. *Goes to lie on the train station platform and falls asleep*
  21. Have you by chance ever visited Canberra during a railway show? The past few years in August at the Malkara Model Railway show, my good friend David has exhibited his layout 'Bodville'. Also, at Lyneham this year (April 4 - 5) I exhibited my layout Blocksford. Did you get a chance to see any of them?
  22. Did you upload it to Eurobricks or another location?(eg. your own server) I don't think there is a rule against them as I have seen animated gifs a fair bit around the place, but there might be a guideline against it. My advice, try uploading it to a different location.
  23. My vote goes to taking a drive in the truck to see if the mainline and town line connect, just in case we find another loco somewhere. Although, why would a town as small as this have its own suburban rail network?
  24. Hold on, isn't the crocodile powered via pantagraph with overhead wires? In a remote, unelectrified location?
