Murder on the Emerald Express: Chapter 13
Captain Zuloo replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well, I'm glad I'm not on the bridge! I think I'll just see how everything pans out before I cross. And if I do cross the thing, I will be tying the rope to the tracks every few feet and the other end to me! -
Just for those who don't know, this is the ICE 3 train:

I don't know about you guys, but I had my fingers crossed that we'd see the Redcoat entry this week...

The Lion of Luebeck (sistership of the Adler)
Captain Zuloo replied to maydayartist's topic in Pirate MOCs
Oh dear, the title seems to have gone strange... What is the correct name of the ship? -
Perhaps less ink in the printers? I'm bamboozled!

TTCE: Oldebrick Junction gets a new Segment Turntable
Captain Zuloo replied to JopieK's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Really, when I close my eyes, I can't see anything. Great job there JopieK! I like your interpretation of 'trackside structure'. Does it actually work? (Not motorized, but does it turn) Either way, it's a cool MOC, and you have put it with brilliant scenery. That gives the MOC a fantastic appearance. Well done. -
Murder on the Emerald Express: Chapter 13
Captain Zuloo replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Before anyone goes, may I make a suggestion? I think we should untie George but keep a close eye on him (Elanor and Greaseman's eyes can be their guns). I think we should then use the rope to tie to the first person on the bridge so that if it collapses they will fall but we'll be able to grab them. -
Great work there mate! I love the 3 part mudular idea. Do you have any other Pirate creations? Well done, and keep it up.

That's really good. Same feel as a System set, but too good. The SNOT techniques are very clever, also the use of hands for the rear vision mirrors is very cool. Thank you for sharing this MOC, you did very well.

Getting started in LEGO Trains - What to buy?
Captain Zuloo replied to MrTools's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I heard that they were to be released in 2009 - I'm not sure if that refers to 10194 or if it's meaning new sets in time for christmas. Hopefully the latter.- 191 replies

What you need is a screen capture program. Try this one: http://wisdom-soft.com/products/screenhunter.htm

Well done HK! Top work, I look foward to more of your designs. How much does it cost you to produce these?
-
Haha Erdbeereis! Excellent work. Add some diced bacon and you have yourself a Ceaser Salad with lettuce, parmasan cheese and croutons. Top notch stuff Ice Cream!

Murder on the Emerald Express: Chapter 13

I agree! But I'm going to be keeping a very close eye on some individuals in order to avoid my head getting completely chopped off! -
What Ever Happened to Lego's Train Mystery?
Captain Zuloo replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I would say that the site is just an archive of cached pages. So it wouldn't work because chaches don't execute scripts. (Don't quote me on the last bit) But I thought it was interesting to see the original LEGO page and just how amature it was, but then a again, fancy web stuff wasn't around then. -
Indeed it is. I enjoyed reading the part about the miniland trains. Although I though there was more of them, and they sure could do with some extra cars! I also found the wind up on Power Functions interesting, because if the battery can charge whilst being drained, it means it could esily be applied to other PF applications such as the Creator Ferris Wheel. I'm excited! Top edition guys.

Wow, great work Captain! How did you make these? Some special software?

Fantastic entry Crystal. I love the concept, Pirates were often taking advantage of women, and putting the redcoats in the same light as Pirates was just brilliant! Top effort.
-
Eeep - I just realised I haven't finished updating the ones we already have! I'll have to take care of that this afternoon, then I'll have more work for you...
-
Yarg! Well done Erdbeereis! I've been saying you should get a Regulator position since before you joined me as a Shipyard Master, so I'm overjoyed for you! But don't forget the blog, your skills and knowledge and willingness for work is incredible - plus we need to complete the set pages. Congratulations Erdbeereis, I'm sure you'll do us all proud.

Are you ready to post your entry Crystal?

Yep. Category 3 is for trackside structures and buildings, so put your train station in category 3. Also, with the change to 8-wide, is it possible to have railings etc. slightly outside the 8 stud limit on an 8-wide model? Just that it was when we were allowed to build a 6-wide MOC.

I'm afraid a basic brick bucket won't get you too far. The Black Seas Barracuda has a large number of specialty parts like the hull sections and masts etc. A basic bucket of bricks would not only have too little an amount of parts, but also not the right ones. So Bricklink is a good starting point. For instructions, you can have a look at the Classic-Pirates.com 6285 Black Seas Barracuda Instruction Page here.
