  1. Just bought some sets in Rodez toys stores : 8037 Anakin's Y-wing Starfighter 7957 Sith's Nightspeeder 8038 Separatist Shuttle and 2 X 8078 Portal Of Atlantis (they were sold off -60% !) to make a big MOC I hope the January sales will be interesting !
  2. I would rather see other Star Wars spaceships instead of 7 Millenium Falcons. There's a ton of ships they could do instead of the same one in so many versions. The different versions of City vehicles don't have anything to do with the Star Wars sets. We get City sets since 40 years, and the main themes are still the same, it's normal. Redundancy could be avoided for licensed themes, as they offer a huge background material.
  3. Personally having licensed sets instead of classic ones is not a problem for playing with them, as I integrate them in my own universe (for example, Star Wars sets suis well in a generic space base). I'm also interested by the peculiar characters these sets offers.and their equipment like blasters lightsabers etc. The only problem I see is the prices, the redundancy of ships ( nearly 10 Millenium Falcons since the beginning) and the lack of basements. I could also notice that there is a redundancy of characters ( What will I do of 5 Jack Sparrow and 18 Luke Skywalker ? ) I hope some of these points will be rethinked by the Lego group. It could be cool to get some explanations on paper accompanying Licenced sets (Who are Plo Koon, Cad Bane and the others ?)
  4. Hello, I would like to join the reviewers academy as I get a lot of brand new sets and the equipment required to write complete reviews of them.
  5. Even Chewbacca seems disapointed by its chicken thigh C-3PO makes an excellent Christmas tree star too !
  6. Yesterday I was lucky enough to find the SW Cad Bane's Speeder 8128 and the yellow Anakin's Y-Wing fighter 8037 at my local toy store !
  7. It's really beautiful, the outside is detailed and the interior too, with ingenious realistic furnitures (particularly the piano and the bookcase !)
  8. Merry Christmas from France to you all
  9. Fantastic japanese medieval MOC full of details, it's a real art
  10. Excellent work as usual Anio I really like the dark red color too so it's even better I hope to see you soon here or on our french cavern
  11. Really big city that you get Just a question : what is the size of the room where it is ?
  12. It's a good idea, really We should give more free Lego around us I think
  13. I write a lot. I alternate between strange spiritual poetry and science fiction short stories. I also wrote a science fiction big novel (253 pages) but never published - like almost every french science fiction in fact. My other skills are being able to assemble, maintain and repair a computer, solve an amazing amount of informatics bugs and explain them in ordinary mortals language. It's my job ! Despite being able to spend hours on computer games, I also know how to use the I Ching chinese divination book lol (thanks to Philip K. Dick ! ) I also know some words in japanese, but there's not a lot of japanese to talk with around here
  14. I built my own Café Corner throught Bricklink for 235€. Half price, exact colors. I think it's the best solution for these old high priced sets. I've rebuilt UCS Millenium Falcon this way, too.
  15. Amazon is actually lowering the price of all Lego themes, not only the architecture sets. Don't worry, it never last long ! Discounts can be up to -40% on some sets.
  16. Extraordinary landscape ! Thanks for sharing your creation to us
  17. Really well done, the street is like the ones we had in the sixties-seventies here in France, with the emblematic "Deux Chevaux" yellow car :)
  18. Ask for a replacement for these sets. Their condition justify it, as you plan to retail them later. I personnaly had some little damages on Lego boxes and parcels, but nothing like the ones I can see on the photos you made. I can say that you have absolutely no luck receiving you first Amazon Lego damaged like this. It only happened to me two times on a hundred orders.
  19. I built my Cafe Corner only with the parts I already had and Bricklink. Total cost shippings included was 235 euros. It costs 500 today. I did the same thing with Millenium Falcon 10179 for 625 euros instead of 1200, and will do the same for all the sets whose prices have become unreachable.
  20. I really like this MOC, it looks like a real set and is full of good ideas such like the detailed interiors and the maintenance room
  21. This website is a good idea if it really leads to real sets. I voted for a UCS Cloud City and for a huge Modular Hogwarts Castle. Are we limited in the number of the votes we post there ?
  22. Very well done ! Good job
  23. I started to build mine too and I'm actually at 50% of its building, and I can say it's really big. And really long to display the thousands of parts close enough to the place where I build it, then finding the parts at each step and doing the assembly correctly. I get no regret for purchasing it by BL by so many parts sellers. Some of them were really sympathic, particularly Chalet-go-play in Florida.
  24. I really like the Monty Pythons, it's totally absurd and a lot of laugh. My favorite scene is the rude dialog between english and french in Holy Grail, very typical of the love the two countries had during the middle ages
