My only thing againt the new setup, is the rather big usaged of round rods that are pretty rare instead of axels. But again that is a necessity...

Nice that it is already on sale, but I ain't gonna spend 47euro extra just to get the set early. I got my unimog that year on around the 29/7 - 2011 and that was on a preorder from a danish independent reseller(shop), but that is still within TLG homemarket despite I suspect that lego not always show that in any way.

nicjasno / LPEPower I have tried youre improved front wheels suspension and steering setup and combined with the ldd post for several pages ago on how to a pf-m along with a slip gear. It will say that it works much better than tlg design:thumbup:

Does anybody care to post deep link to store/shop can't find it. But if they got it might warrant a emergency purchase so I can have the crawler on my birthday that is in the first part july But only if price is fairly close to 152 euro as I have seen offer for on danish site, but is my post in the other thread. But do we know anyhing like if they just has gotten a limited shipement or if the will run out of supplies?

A small update on my unimog upgrade. The pneumatic is still a dual compressor, but last evening I managed to mounth both a pneumatics cylinder(for tipping of the bed) and pf-xl(same place as other have recommend and used) in the back of the truck. This evening (re)built, I spend on undoing a change that call for the driveing pf-xl motor to be placed where the fake engine is. And as if that wasn't trouble enough I also got placed a pf-m in the cabin to control the steering. The status of of progress is that, it can drive fine. The tipping of the bed has rather not so small problem that when rising the cylinder to tip the bed the cylinder won't raise it just expanded backward. I highly suspent that to because of that cylinder is placed one stud more back than where others have place it. The steering is extremely slugish but I am gonna implement LPEPower's design for an improved steering befor I make a assessment of it. Hopefully befor the weekend if the parts from BL comes in the mail:cry_happy: And oh, are there anybody that has a good idea how make the cylinder climb upwards instead of backwards and breaking the truck? I has consider helper springs but hasn't tried that yet.

Hi every one I have been improveing the air compressor of the mog. Now it features a dual compressor still using the new air pumps and with the same gearing. That can achive a pressure of 250 kPa(2,5bars) until the PF-M stalls. But it can only get the pressure uptil a about 160 kPa when there is a air tank between the compressor and the lego analogue pressure gauge. What setup do you think the give the best playablity?

Oh a little interesting fact, when I was looking at danish lego resellers yesterday. They wore the only the shop that show up, with the crawler up for preorder. Many other site, did not even had it listed. -

I have seen the 9398 list up for preorder here, http://klodsland.dk/product.asp?product=43312. Where say the item will be send between 1st and 3th of august. The price is 1124dkk(roughly $190 or €151). But I don't know if the shop can be trusted, as I have never had any dealings with them befor. -

I have never asked, nor proposed that the instructions be releases free of charge(cornering those that "made by hand"). And I have seen his BS folder, and I can see that they have done creat job again. And Blackbirds pov-ray renders are as always fantasic to look at. But they don't take much time when, you got the 3d model. And it out fear that others will make another set of instructions that won't want them to be released. And that I think is foolish, because what about those of us, who like to something try our designs on computer first, we are left out in the cool. Or force to make 3d model them self. -

Yeah of course, but I know from personal expirence that adults often don't needs instructions if they just got either a good bounce of pictures or a 3d model. And of course the instruction are handy, but we aren't dependeable on them any more. Even LDD can for create extremly basic instructions. Can't you see that you boost/increase the need for instructions because you only releases a portion of the material to free (ab)use of the public? Beyond the natual demand? -
Yeah it seems to be a great, a great improvement. I am for sure gonna try this late on in the summer on my mog. Also I am looking into to maybe motorized with pf-l and pf-sv motors if I get myself the crawler af a late birthday present. Oh and btw. are there anybody that knows if there exits a 3d file of the 8110 as it directly from lego, because the I am maybe will try and mod that file few of the best improvements to unimog.

I do understand and don't ask(and never had) for special treatment. But I object to your way, that ain't helping everybody inspiring each other for free. And this sadly ain't the firste moc I have seen where the creators have taken this stance. Renember what lego was about in the first place! -

I don't if even just post to rebrickable.com(where you could export a part list to BL), but start count on 7 x large pneumactics cylinders + aleast 2 x pf-m motors, + 4 pf-switches and lots of gearing parts. -

Fair, but you properly now my standpoint. That I am never gonna support buying instructions. I personally believes that its a different thing regarding mocs(e.g pneumatics motor that come pre-build) or just parts on bricklink. Honestly I am must say, that your view don't fost co-operation, it more inspires competition of prestige. But I on the other hand I see why you rightfully regards the costum made instructions as valueable, because you have spend lots of time on it. But it makes really hard, everybody just in a cad like sr3d to analyse the model and tried release a improved version on it. And I know that right now instruction creation, is largely a manuel process. But I hope that process can be automate a lot more in the future. And I also hopes to see, reverse software that analyse pictures of models, and the by the help of Ldraw and maybe a Kinect sensor are able to generate a cad model. I would do so many thing alot more easy here in the start of 21th century, but again TLG will properly comeback in less that a decade. Seeing those interactive playground demo running on quadcore i5 and i7 intel chip. With the help of kinect, I believ that the big question is how they will handle LDraw and sr3d in the long run, because sr3d has the best brick engine, while it ui needs a bit of work. And with LDraw there tlg, has a for instance during legoworld convention admitted that they makes there brick i something like autodesk, and then some other software. But they are starting to also use Ldraw because it is easy for them. -

Looks great - Blackbird But would you be so kind, as to answer my previous question. Regarding at least releasing the 3d file? -
Or he could use "Windows Live Photo Gallery" and on the ribbon, in the organize area. Select properties and there is option to save a the image at reduced/small sizes. Nice! - Then it just a shame that unimog doesn't have a dedicated epto(as electrial power take off) plug in the back. On the topic of motorizeding it i am also thinking a about, doing i with a few pf-l motor for drive and a servo from the crawler, if I get that set for myself as extra birthday present. Like last year where I got myself the 8110.
