  1. Depends on the beheading. The old fashioned, man with a black hood, could be very slow and painful at times. Anne Boleyn I believe was done in by a swordsmen, which was so quick, that her lips still moved in prayer. Anyway! Expect new pics tommorow!
  2. I seen and read them all. Seriously, I have. After the India special, I bought the DVD boxed set, and hen I went on to buy all the books. Damn good read and made me proud to be British again. And I love the persecution of the fleshies here :P
  3. "Holy rusting metals Batman!" 8-| God I need more coffee of I'm quoting that...
  4. I thought I sentenced you to life in front of a firing squad. Anyway, I like this army ;-) Keep up the good work sir, and I hope to see you against the vile hordes of French/Spanish/Americans/Prussians/Russians etc
  5. You know, stalking these forums, I thought there was something missing: The Angry Mob. I'm just so happy my thread has spawned one! >8-)
  6. In my honest opinion, I couldn't care less about these designs really. It's still the offspring of a blunderbuss and a musket. If it looks like it shoots, issue them to the troops! I do use the black muskets though as rifles, cos I dun feel right bringing in Western rifles into the era, seeing as the only real difference between a musket and rifle in appearance was the size of the gun (rifles were shorter I think) and the bayonets. (Sword bayonets, for the freaking win!)
  7. ... I call this court marshal to order and find the defendant, Grand Moff, GUILTY of breaking my childhood, insulting my army without meaning to do so and speaking HERESY. I sentence you to life, in front of a firing squad. I grew up with yellow, dunno where this flesh has come from, and will so ignore it. Also: Just a quick edit of one of the many pics I took, but didn't post. This shows the two main officers and Sir Norman Ray in grenn at the back there X-D
  8. Thank you *sweet* As it stands, those pictures are now obsolete, as I have taken the advice to make my cannon crew blue (after raiding my old Lego stuff). I plan to to put more pics up on Wednesday, by which time I should have recieved two flags and at least ten more muskets. I need to find a bigger board to show my men on, this is getting silly! :'-(
  9. Out right g!t comes to my mind :-P I voted ITP, despite not owning it. I had EF though, loved it so, but wish I could have had ITP. Ah those were the days. When Major was still Prime Minister, my brother and me still talked and television was 4 channels. Can I be a child again please?
  10. Personally, I thought that the Imperial Armada boat was nothing more then a tug in the naval yard of battleships. Its a re-used design (I know LEGO did that a lot, but at least Imperial Army/Guard had its own stuff in the naval department) as I had that boat as a pirate one. It also seems that LEGO didn't really want to make the Armada a major power in the LEGO Pirates theme, as it doesn't fit in. Who would honestly be afraid of a Navy where THATS the flagship? It got one cannon, and has too much gilt and colour on it. It's like that moment in the first PoTC film, where Will jumps onto the Dauntless and yells "Aye! AVAST!" You know he's trying, bless his cotton socks, but he just looks like silly Billy. (This opinion brought to you by Sir Norman Ray, the man who quotes MASH in his sig)
  11. I voted the clipper meself, as I had as a child and still think its a better design, despite perfering the redcoats. Also, by ecky thump this thread is old.
  12. Aye, tis a grand tub *sweet* But, I fear it'll fall to pieces in a battle :-P
  13. Norrington, yes, its true, I did watch that. Many many years ago! I have been watching Phantom 2040 and ActionForce/GI JOE cartoons of the 80's-90's
  14. :-| Ye speak of heresy and witchcraft with thos strange words... Seriously, I thought it was the cannon holes that he meant myself :-P
  15. I prefer the recoats, because I love the British idea of it all. And this is coming from someone, by the way, who had a dozen bluecoats and only TWO redcoats as a child :-P
  16. "Shiver mah timbers shiver mah soul, yo ho he ho..." I really like this to be honest, because its creepy. Seriously, somebody get a broadside or 5 into that thing. (And hooray for captured French sailors :-P )
  17. Why thank you sah!
  18. I think I may as well make my own blooming Shakos, I got custom made Lego Guns on order, why not hats? (And no, Europe is hard as well...) I do want to make a base for them, but its hard as they are meant to be army personal, not naval. (Maybe they're garrisoned out there? I dunno...) But I need more stuff first really. My own, old stuff is limited
  19. Thank you :)
  20. Thank you, thank you all! *wub* Damn you Fordo, lapping them all up! :-P I'm actually looking for another South Essex's flag design (contest is still on!) And thank you Short Corporal, I like them as well :) No battle scenes though as the amount of Bluecoats I have is less then a dozen :-P I do have some positions planned though
  21. It's not so much redcoats now, I have around a dozen that have packs, but need muskets (paid and bidding on) and Shako's (as discussed, rarer then rocking horse poop.) I also have on order some proper flags because I hate what I have right now. (I also need yellow shoulder pad thingies)
  22. Richard James, ye be close, but not enough. Sorry mate. Poop to ye Sinner and your wit |-/ tedbeard I know, buuuuuut, this a custom army where Sir Norman Ray funded it all, sometimes he's intelligent, like getting rifles, other times he's stupid like getting his own cannon...
  23. That would be my luck their rare of rocking horse poop. Personally, and no offense, I dont do custom stuff. (Its cos I dont have the time or patience anymore, work an all.) Sah is actually how I write sir is its said in a loud or pompous voice, its a reference to the origin of the name of my company, and if somebody could guess it already, i could explain!
  24. Why thank you! Though, I think I'll stick to Guinness and Magners, it's a safer addiction then this *sweet* And thanks, its taken a lot, and I'm still needing more muskets (waiting for them) and more shakos.
  25. Hi there. I've been stalking this board for a month or so now. Personally, I blame you lot, ALL of you, for making me start this :-P After raiding EBay a lot, I've formed a little unit of currently 65 men, including enlisted men, officers, veteran NCO's with spears, 3 standard bearers, 4 men currently armed with rifles (black muskets), 5 men assigned to a cannon and the South Essex's founder and funder, Sir Norman Ray. I'm sorry about the pic size, I am not sure now to resize right now, and I have no blooming idea how to take pictures either with quality. So, its just the links until I can figure out something. (Or I get help :'-( ) (BTW: First two people who can correctly name where I got the company name and who their founder was gets to name my two main officers) (Edit by Phred: Resized 1st Image and posted it and made thumb-links)
