  1. Thank you, I cant wait to see your troops :-)
  2. No need, I found more Shako's! So yeah, I hope to build up a large backlog of Shako's so that way I can easily cover any redcoats not having the proper headgear. And backpacks and what not... I also be plotting, a base of some sort!
  3. Sorry for double post, but I bring PICTURES! (Wooo! Cheap book advertisement!) The SgtMajor hidden there with his beard, cos I watched Zulu! and thought Thats how he should be :-D
  4. All changed now :D I have LOTS of redcoats!
  5. Ahh, the joy of living in England. All I ever knew was shooting cannon, and that "I'm not allowed to fire the cannon anymore as I almost hit the vase/will loose the cannonballs/hit the cat/dad will step on the cannonballs etc" Personally, I find it very, odd, that America, home of violent movies, games, TV and locals would ban a simple toy firing a brick a few feet. The last cannon I got was in a Western set and it was still firing. It may have been Health and Safety. In some little town two days after the first firing cannon was released in the USA, Billy shot his best friend in the eye with a cannon, and suddenly the word was out: Lego could kill. England, taking Darwin's rule of Survival of the Fittest, swore madly at America and went back to giggling at the boats. (As if this blooming country doesn't have enough already. I stand to inherit three myself!) As for the hollow head stuff, I have no comment. I noticed a difference, but forgot about it. After all, it was only a toy. :-P
  6. Giant parrots hey? Send a messenger to the Engineers, tell them I need cannons. Lots of Cannons. (Luckily, I seem to have a large artillery battery anyway :-P) I like the edit there, made me laugh a lot. Although, I dont agree with your update plans of pure admirals though. May get a bit complicated on the battlefield with 15 officers ordering 21 men :-P
  7. You're British sir! The British are famed for making do with whatever they have available! Have you ever played chess with a ketchup bottle, shells and bottles? WELL I HAVEN'T! COS I CANT PLAY CHESS! Ahhh, I see, I never had those sets, hence why I never saw them before! Nice use of them!
  8. BY GOD MAN! Your officers are a damn disgrace. Unshaven ragamuffins, no more then common soldiers and sergeants! Flog them I say! FLOG THEM UNTIL THE GROUND IS AWASH WITH SANGUINE! Seriously, Sir Henry Simmerson impersonation aside, I like the officers. I never seen that style of feather though, where did it come from?
  9. Personally, I think the LEGO version is a damn good close version of the real thing. THough, there's something wrong with your face mate, go to a doctor already!
  10. I dont think they got to England to be honest. If they did, we burnt them or sunk them. But I never saw them on sale here.
  11. I believe thats in the Custom Furniture section of the MOCs, one of the ships part there.
  12. I dont need scapegoats. I know politics! *stands like Mussolini* phred: I was 5 years old. that was 14 years ago. The chances are, their damage may just have come from being mis-treated in the large tubs that i store my old LEGO in. Anyway, I be bidding on a load of Bluecoats on Ebay who have Shako's (Thank Christ) Muskets (Thank Allah) Backpacks (Thank Sean Bean) and yellow shoulder things (Thank Pratchett) and I am expecting some more redcoats to come as well, meaning I can increase my numbers again! Though, I may have to sign up to Bricklink at this rate...
  13. Name a single MMORPG where excitement happens all the time :P I like the look of the game myself
  14. I loved LEGO Star Wars games, this I cant wait for! Despite longing for pirates, this look damn good! (Also, roll on kill Lego Nazis :-P) -A Call of Duty veteran.
  15. I always thought a squadron was the name given to a group of naval vessels. Also, you're looking to POTC for realism? Where cursed Aztec gold turns men into the undead? Where giant Kraken kill people? Where Bill Nighy acts as a squid? Where Port Royal is shown to hate pirates even though we let them in? (Actually, I think Port Royal had SUNK by that point.) I seem to remember in Hornblower on the TV that marines wore shako's though.
  16. Erm, she's yellow. And has fake legs. And has pink hair... ANYWAY: I think my next load of men are gonna have to be tricorne hats, as I have no more Shako's. EBAY's dry on them and most of the Bricklink stuff is out of Europe. (There's a Hong Kong guy with over 50!) I may also need to buy Bluecoats, as my ones are so old and bad it embarrassing to look at them. (I chewed on them, the cat chewed on them etc...)
  17. Speaking as a man with so much boating in his blood, its actually salt water, I like this ship a lot. It's a grand piece of work :-$ Speaking as someone who prefers ground combat, I can only see it as a limit war vessel :-P
  18. British sir? The British wear their fabulous red and scarlet, and the elite wear Green jackets. Unless you have a platoon of engineers...
  19. Nice work on this, shame ya a bunch of Frenchies :-P 21 men, thats either a squad, or half a platoon
  20. I never realised he was rare! I had two of him! Damnit, where did I put them...
  21. Gott in Himmel! No wonder there's a Shako shortage! Nice work mate, thats all I can say
  22. Roughly around 55 men at this time, that includes basic troops, a SgtMajor and my spear armed Sgts. I dont actually, Though they do look right fancy, dunno if i should get them
  23. Thanks! I bring fresh pictures! I need a bigger base, i got quite a lot of troops now :-P
  24. Damnit, we keep being invaded by a Star Wars nut... *stop's p;aying LEGO STAR WARS 2* Weclome, gutan tag, bonjour, holla, please explain for us what you mean
  25. Very nice work :-D
