ANNOUNCING: Guilds of Historica Book II: The Civil War
Captain BeerBeard replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
This book two seems like it will be epic. The contest system makes so much sense. Big ups to who ever figured that out! This way seems so much more interactive. For reals, big up on that! Thank you, to all who have put time into this project and made it so much better and well thought out. I didn't think it could work so good! -

Masa has said it perfectly. Purest or no purest. If you chose the non purest route why limit yourself? It just seems silly to say you can use this but you can't use this. I don't see a difference between Megabloks and Brickwarriors. It's the same thing. Both are not real LEGO. What's the difference? Megablocks has the best sword that fits in a minifigure hand? I can't use it because it's better than anything that currently exists? All after market companies steal profit from TLG. It doesn't bother me that they do, but rules are rules I guess. They don't have to make sense.- 99 replies

Everything that doesn't say LEGO is an aftermarket part. What is the difference between a clone brand and aftermarket part? Everything that doesn't say LEGO is a clone brand. I don't get that part of the rules. Is there some hidden catch?- 99 replies

When I check in here, this is what I want to see! An Epic! I hate to to use the word "epic". It's a very overused word on the interweb but this is an "EPIC" moc! Please continue to push the fantasy element of castle mocs. I love it! - 58 replies

The thing I don't get is why nobody offers any criticism or advice. The whole GoH project is a failure in this aspect. It was supposed to be about improvement. It really just turned out to be snob fest competition where people only advise builders to favor their team. I don't want to be one of those people. I hope this GoH trend can change. It's really been pushing me away to be honest. This is a very competitive forum, maybe that's how it has to be. I don't know.

Avalonia Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion
Captain BeerBeard replied to Derfel Cadarn's topic in Guilds of Historica
I haven't seen any 11 yet. I'm only interested by the five rouge mentioned. I don't think I'll be going out of my either to collect many. Series 10 was quite awful too. The series I've bought the least of so far. I still haven't even got all of ten yet and have no plans to. -

The Oak Fortress (Avalonia Build)
Captain BeerBeard replied to Apple Pi's topic in Guilds of Historica
Ok. After checking the links, I really loved this build. Great work on the curved part of the tower and the build as a whole. Great use of detail in a small space without overcrowding anything. I look forward to more.
