  1. August 25th Lowlug is having it's 2nd public meeting. This time it is held in Meijel, in the South of The Netherlands. You are very welcome to join us in this one day event. We'll have many acitivities and of course there is room for mocs. If you want to take part or just want to read more info, you can go over to our website http://www.lowlug.nl/lowlugxl-afol-info-english/ The programm is from 10 AM until 6 PM, the public part is from 12 until 4 PM
  2. Ninjago city docks is not a D2C, at least not in Europe.
  3. I saw numbers of €1200 (ebay.de).
  4. Very inspiring build! Did you use tiles for those walls?
  5. For the Dutch, I'd say 20.000km. That is regular, daily commute to work and 2 vacations. People who drive for their work (like salespeople) drive some more. We love our ZOAB roads But, The Netherlands is a small country, and everything is located on a short distance.
  6. They we're talking to the people behind the camera And it would've been fun to hear, but it's also in Dutch We thought about adding sound, but it all was set up in impulse. Like "let's do this, this is fun to watch". We have this kind of builds almost every time (mostly the set is brought by one of the members, who also takes it home afterwards), but we never had a set this new. We'll certainly will think about that, it was a fun experience. We're glad you enjoyed it!
  7. We are aware that there isn't any sound. The sound is off, because it kind of doesn't make any sense (it's noisy over here, people are talking), and now we don't have to be so carefull about what we say near the microphone Thanks for watching. The set is beautiful!!
  8. We're live! Enjoy!
  9. Great review, thanks! If you want to see us build this set live at our meeting, later this day, tune in at http://www.lowlug.nl/video for the live feed. Feed starts around 10.30 GMT (11.30 Rotterdam time).
  10. And, castle!
  11. Victor B made some movies of the event: Our trucktrial in action:
  12. Hi, I'm not a frequent poster here, and it's a completely different topic, it's not about LEGO. Sorry. I'm looking for someone I know from about 12-15 years ago. He's an american man, and lived with my parents for several years. Last known address: Ottoville, Ohio. Is there a website that I can go to to find people in the USA? Maybe someone here is from Ottoville or surroundings? Any help appreciated. I have a message for him.
  13. They are online at Shop@Home as of today. You'll have to search for them by their number, because the theme page isn't online yet
  14. Sounds great. When there's a contest that has a non-violence rule, I want to be part of it. I already have ideas
  15. Yes, at Lowlug we have. Behind the scenes though. There is a lot of interest in this from our members. I understand the ambassadors are discussing this at their site and we are waiting for that. So, not really started the process, but we are working on it.
  16. I don't think people will buy "random parts".
  17. I have asked Jan Beyer for the pricing. Unfortunately he cannot give a pricing list, but he gave the example of a 2x4 brick in white which would cost 6ct. PaB price is 17ct for that element. I don't know if this sets the standard for the rest though...
  18. I think the blasters are a licensed part, the plates aren't.
  19. I think they'll make you sign a contract. Also, the person that does the ordering, is responsible. So, if you order through Lowlug, and you sell the parts, I will hunt you down with an axe. But, I too understand it in the way that individual members of the LUG will have the opportunity to order parts through the big order. The rule says that the LUG has to be part of a show 2 times a year. I think if you are part in a bulkorder with several people, you are an individual who buys. People can order what they want, with the given restrictions.
  20. I don't know where you've read that it's for the clubs? Do you mean like for the club collection? How many LUGs are there that have a collection?
  21. You haven't heard of First LEGO League? Or is it the award? I can't blame you for not knowing about the award, since it's a local thing. :-D The citizens of the town can send in nominations in certain categories. In the "technic" category, they have nominated RISrobotics, the FLL team of the international school in Eindhoven. They are in the top of the league, as far as I know. The point is, that these guys are fellow Lego enthousiasts, and need all the votes they can get to win the contest. I thought it would be fun to make it a global event, and help them with a lot of votes *sweet* So, head over to the poll, click the radiobutton in front of "RISrobotics" and click the "stem" button. X-D I think you don't even have to fill out your emailaddress and/or name. any help is much appreciated! *y*
  22. Hi all! I hope it's ok to make this post. The FLL team in Eindhoven is nominated for a prestigious city award. They have to compete with 4 very big and well known contestants who will generate loads of votes. So, RISbotics, the underdog in this contest, needs your votes! I think, we fellow LEGO fans have to help these kids out, and make them win the contest! So, go over to the voting page and make a difference : :-D In the text below you can find how you can help. Thanks a million! Voting website ------------------------------------------------------------------------- RISbotics Nominated for Eindhoven's Pride Award I received word today from an FLL team called RISbotics that they've been nominated for the prestigious "Eindhoven's Pride" award. Eindhoven is one of the major cities in the Netherlands, and a major centre of engineering, industrial design, sports, and technical universities. Now that the team has been nominated, they compete with four other nominees for the most votes to become the winner of the award. This is no easy thing to get - the other nominees are big, well known associations. Last year's winner was a World famous soccer team (PSV). So RISbotics is asking everyone to vote for them, which you can do by going to the voting website. Select "RISBotics", enter your name and e-mail, and click "stem" (which is the Dutch word for vote). They estimate that they need about 10,000 votes to win, so let's give them some support! ------------------------------------------------------------------
  23. Another question :-) Is the torso of the queen different from the other figs in the set? I don't see a difference at the pictures, but maybe I'm wrong. I was hoping for a lady viking, but it seems there aren't any in the set *sad*
  24. People on Lowlug have so. So, there are more people who ordered. BTW, it is true that there has been a bulk ordering system in Europe for many years. You had to order a minimum of 100 of the same piece, and the minimum order amount is 250 euro. So, that is not interesting if you don't have that kind of money, or if you can't find other people who want to order with you. If you can, it's very interesting, though a lot of pieces are less expensive if you buy them of of Bricklink.
  25. the scan has been online for months ;-) This page is from the Dutch catalog. http://www.lowlug.nl/images/2005/catalog20...2005page55.jpeg Entire catalog: http://www.lowlug.nl/index.php?page=25
