  1. I wanted to share the Mrs. Jumbo and Dumbo elephants I made for my Dumbo project. Thoughts?
  2. Today, my LEGO Ideas Casey Jr. hit 100 supporters, so I made a video, and my brother posted it for me.(I don't do YouTube.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wl6Q5sKR9U
  3. The BNSF loco is a GP-38-2, the Santa Fe Super Chief is, I believe, an E unit.(Thanks, Wikipedia.) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Chief (I personally wanted to say an F unit, but I'm not sure how to tell. More of a steam guy.
  4. @ElysiumfountainThanks for the response! Hopefully I didn't do something wrong. Odd that we're each getting similar behavior!
  5. Have a weird issue where I can't access my profile, or other profiles, but I can submit, update, like, and comment. Anybody else having issues?
  6. I SHOULD have used Earth Blue drivers, on my train, but since LEGO doesn't make them, black was closest. @ScotNick, you should try black. I bet people would understand! Also, very beautiful rendition!
  7. So, I was very recently told that a train won't make it through IDEAS, ever. Why is this? Trains are historical, and people love history. Space now longer seems as futuristic, at least to me. If so many people want rockets, which are now historical, what stops a train? Expense? Do people not like trains? Just curious. I'm interested in IDEAS, as I think it's a great platform, but seeing mostly space pass confuses me.
  8. What would you like to see me do to my Casey Jr. project to encourage more supporters? What can I change, and where can I do better? https://ideas.lego.com/projects/8b153541-1956-42b7-bfec-a8f31755bc7e
  9. @melianderHi. Anyway, you're right. Star Wars is too big, old, and beloved to die out soon. Much as I am sad to say it, Star Wars is like a train. Once you get it going it's not going to instantly stop. Also, I would vote for a RoboForce successor.
  10. Disney Princess is not allowed, Lamborghini is, Legend of Zelda doesn't flag, Dumbo does not, Volkswagen not allowed...Pokemon fails...
  11. I think it's possible, but, probably won't happen until people are tired of Star Wars.
  12. I guess somebody'd have to try, and submit something. In my experience, however, trains and Ideas don't mix...
  13. @Digger of BricksThomas IS allowed! So is Gravity Falls! Toy Story isn't...
  14. @Digger of BricksJust checked, seems you have to submit an idea to see.
  15. Promoting Ideas stuff is so hard!
  16. @Brickproject, thanks! Supported your idea.

  18. @Roadmonkeytj Thanks! I'm definitely going to refine things!
  19. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls of all ages. Today, I bring you a project dear to my heart. Casey Jr from Disney's Dumbo! Casey Jr as depicted here is a 2-4-0 steam locomotive, depicted as such in the 1941 animated classic. The brave little locomotive pulls his train consisting of a passenger car for the clowns, Dumbo and Mrs. Jumbo's elephant car, and the ringmaster's caboose. More info in Train Tech!
  20. Set includes Dumbo, Mrs. Jumbo, minifigures of the ringmaster, two silly clowns, brick-built Dumbo and Mrs. Jumbo figures, and a Timothy Q. Mouse minifigure, depicted here by my friend Artist Bridget Whiting. https://ideas.lego.com/profile/Artist%20Bridget%20Whiting/entries#/?query=&... Dumbo really soars with help from two transparent LEGO rods and can be flown around by attaching him alongside the elephant car, or by hand. Casey Jr. is powered by LEGO Powered Up and features animated side rods and valve gear. Thanks to @zephyr1934 and @Roadmonkeytj for help with the rods and valve gear! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/8b153541-1956-42b7-bfec-a8f31755bc7e
  21. Benn has a point. I battled this with my upcoming train model, so I can attest to the difficulty. That's said, the resultant detail is quite breathtaking.
  22. @Karalora Me too! And some parts for a Disney project of mine, which is done, but needs stability.
  23. From the wording, it sounds like the creators themselves know why their project was dropped. I guess we'll never know, though.
  24. As everybody who reads Train-Tech knows, I'm sure, I'm building a 2-4-0, locomotive, with the Powered Up train motor holding the driving wheels. Now that I think I got the driving wheels/rods working, I'm having a bit of trouble with the leading truck. Using the small steam leading wheels like on the EN, https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?id=3165&idColor=63#T=C&C=63 connects to a 1x3 liftarm, then to 2x 3176, and it keeps trying to derail. How do I balance it? Also, how do I cut friction? The wheels are attached by a 3706, into 2x 2817s(Bricklink number) I don't necessarily need speed as much as I need few derailments, but I'd take speed, too. I'm really confused as a 1x2 liftarm like on the Constitution doesn't swing enough... Any help appreciated!
