Good news everybody! I saw on instagram that their is going to be a new modular being introduced. -
Here is how I built the ship
-
This is it, episode four ship. Fully furnished from inside and out. In order to make the ship more structurally secure I make the floor to be above a double lattice which is this case I make 1 by 3 technic pieces of many kinds i.e. 90 degree, x pieces etc to make the ships structure to be as strong as posible. The later part was simply to put the flooring on top. Questions welcome! Instructions coming soon... (free just so you know, probably on Flickr)

For the Falcon it took me about the same time, so really it isn't that surprising that it took him 12 hours to do so. I just purchased the set online too. How are the faces of the micro-figures?

Here it is, the heavily modded Millennium Falcon with removable shooters cockpit and a very strong skeleton because of having a double lattice. The only thing that I have to do is to finish the passageway to the pilots cockpit.
-
fantastic work, fascinated by the sails and the overall structure in accordance to the movie.

Here is the inner skeleton of the ship

The modified ship is just as strong as the original UCS ship but with an actual interior. What I did to do that is that is I used technic pieces to bridge both sides of it together. I used about 16-24 technic pieces to bridge (I can not say exactly because I am out for vacation). I will be posting pictures of the ships structure probably tomorrow. What I did to the flooring to be of the same level was to remove of part of the diagonal stud pieces from the left (When looking at the ship from behind). Because of the format of ships floorplan that was the only thing that I needed to modify from the below the floor.

Well here are my MOD's to the UCS Millennium Falcon, the flooring to the ship is done and so is the gunners stations all I need to do now is too put up the walls.
-
well, this is the main skeleton of the ship being dismantled. Going to put all the plates onto one pile while making a thinner more robust skeleton in the meantime.
-
@Lardos Fantastic work, I am really impressed by the tunnel chute. How did you make the opening to the cockpit through the main structure? Did you dismantle it?
-
has anyone attempted to make the hallway to the cockpit? I have tried (and failed at it). The main problem is the structure of the ship.

[MOC] 75192 UCS Millennium Falcon "Kessel run" cargo pod
Jerry McGlade replied to bmerigan's topic in LEGO Star Wars
@rolekeeper I tried to replicate it with a semi-solid interior but the mandibles almost fell off, so because of that I hollowed out the interior and it works just fine. -

Whats going on with the 75192 Falcon availability??

I think they are getting sued over the plans for the ship by stealing it from another builder. I know that the creator of the Ghostbuster HQ got really annoyed by what happened to his set which lego pretty much copied exactly. -
Here it is, Luke Skywalker's lightsaber second edition. (After Darth Vader told him that he was his father). Anything helps to revamp this thing!
