Oh hi LordVoldemort, AshleyBricks, Legolegend, Bellatrix, and lord knows how many other alt accounts. My favorite stalker has returned. Can you at least try making a decent attempt at being someone else? Thanks!

Personally I still believe we are getting Gringotts in Diagon Alley, everybody was doubting WWW was in it and lo and behold with a little mischief magic, it appeared. For an end all be all Diagon Alley set, it would be an extremely noticeable exclusion and a lot of people would feel cheated without it, especially casuals if we have to wait another year. And usually D2C add ons are usually another D2C, like Ninjago City and Docks, not a system scale set and vice versa. I think Gringotts, WWW, Ollivander’s, and Flourish and Blotts will probably be fully fleshed with the majority of the pieces so from 5,000 I’d say 3,500 pieces so about a 900 pieces a piece which should be more than enough to do those stores justice. Especially considering how well The Burrow was done at that piece range. The other 1,500 will probably go to facades like QQS since the memorable scene in the movie is Harry looking at the broomstick, Scribulus, Daily Prophet, and Florean’s since they really don’t get much screen time. Also throw in some vendor carts as well for some owls or something and you got the whole thing.

Amazing stuff, all the shops I want are in it from Flourish and Blotts to Quality Quidditch Supplies. And I was right about WWW, it’s just too iconic to leave out. I highly doubt they would leave Gringotts out especially if Scribulus and the Daily Prophet are in. Betting it would crack 5,000 pieces with how many shops we are getting. This could really be one of if not the greatest lego set ever, really can’t wait to see the minifigure selection which I assume will be just as incredible based on the awesome Harry variant and Florean Fortescue. Really looks like this is going to be the end all be all Diagon Alley set.

Look at the Room of Requirements for example, it could of came with a bunch more minifigs such as Colin Creevy or any other member of the Dumbledore’s Army but it didn’t because LEGO needs to maintain a certain budget. The sets can’t just have infinite minifigs. Minifigs should be used to enhance the sets, especially when some of sets need some more. Like the Clocktower that has the Hospital Wing but no Pomfrey. The CMF would be perfect for her because it allows LEGO to spend a bit more than on standard minifig that comes in a set. I’m not saying don’t make characters that don’t belong in sets, but like @Darth Shadowthrone said, getting side minifigs that really don’t fit in is kinda worrying, when we are missing out on more characters that do fit sets. Do the characters that fit first, that way if the line abruptly ends you have your essentials, and if the line continues do a series that’s dedicated to those type of characters like Fat Friar or Lily or James or young Mauraders and jazz like that. It’s a matter of importance. You could technically slip them in the Rise of Voldemort set, but you’re right I really wasn’t excited with those reveals either. Cool, but like I said it’s not really necessary especially when we don’t even have a Lockhart yet.

I’m kinda shocked about all this outrage over Ginny. I think she’s a worthwhile inclusion especially with how bad they botched her in The Burrow, this is way more screen accurate. Even the twins are fun minifigs with unique prints. I think the ones I personally could have lived without was Bellatrix because you really can’t put her in any of the sets and Neville because you already have plenty of student robes. But still a phenomenal selection all around and amazing accessories like Sword of Gryffindor, Fawkes, and Butter Beer. Think they’ll do a third wave down the line to fill in some of the noticeable absences like Pomfrey and Karakaroff. Still think we’ll definitely get Lucius and Lockhart in Diagon Alley, and I’m still wagering that WWW is included as well. I imagine Diagon Alley is going to be a very colorful set like Ninjago City so leaving the Purple and Orange aesthetic out would be a huge letdown. I’m not even the biggest fan of the later films, but WWW is such an iconic and unique design, it would be kind of disappointing without it.

Is it me or does Ginny have a new face? I never liked the expression that came in The Burrow, thought it really didn’t fit her and was a bit sarcastic or sinister looking, but this looks a lot better.

I don’t see the correlation personally, I don’t think a VP pick would affect the reveal date of a toy, honestly the reveal would be a nice distraction from all the dumpster fire that is US politics. If you want to point fingers of an announcement delay it would be Coronavirus, I wouldn’t be surprised if the CMF gets pushed back because of it. As for Diagon Alley, I know July 31st would be the optimal reveal date but the D2Cs have recently been revealed two weeks out from release date so I’m impatiently waiting for the second or third week of August at this point. All this hype reminds me of the UCS Falcon three years back.
-
Even if Diagon Alley isn’t revealed at SDCC, I think the latest we will see it is the end of July/first week of August which has me incredibly excited. Mos Eisley will probably get revealed Mid August so I think it will be about week or so before it, a week or so after the piano. I wonder if it will be a joint reveal with the CMF unless they got delayed which could very be likely the case, since Sept 1 sets release dates are now in question.

Yeah for the US peeps who haven’t got the sets, I highly recommend Zavvi, shipping is ridiculously quick, pricing is good and who knows for sure when the normal wave is coming out. As for Diagon Alley, I’m probably going to get it from LEGO, but unlike Barracuda Bay, I’m going to get express shipping this time around.

I mean if it was microscale, which I‘m 100% certain it’s not, having Florean Fortescue and Harry Potter wouldn’t make logical sense. One is a background character while the other is the primary protagonists, exact opposites. Notice how the D2C Hogwarts has 4 similar characters of importance each being the houses’ founders. If it was microscale with minifigs, the selection would probably be of the big three and Hagrid or four rare characters, not a mix of the two as we have seen so far. Now I’m a bit late to the game but I really love that Harry variant, big sucker for the first two movies and all the various young Harry attires. This one is almost on par with invisibility cloak Harry!

I really hope they don’t start doing remakes, I’d rather they just finish 2021 with DH and use 2022 as a way to catch up on any missed sets like Shrieking Shack, Merpeople, Chamber, and a huge Sorcerer Stone’s set to cover Troll, Fluffy, Winged Keys, and Chess Room. Then move onto a new reboot like Adventurers and come back to HP in like ten years. Don’t want this to become another Star Wars

If we get Endor fatigues for Luke, Leis, and Han then I might consider buying it since I already have the old one. -

Yeah Revan was the fan poll favorite, but this year has has been stacked with EU non fan poll black series. Also just checked that Funko is doing pops based on old EU as well with the Shadow Trooper, Darth Malak, and Darth Revan which is an awesome surprise. So I’m pretty sure it’s on the company on whenever if they want to produce EU stuff or not -

Personally I someone who likes all the movies and eras besides TFA, I think this is a very solid wave, best one in years. Most of the time I buy the UCS sets and call it day. Already pre ordered the Razorcrest, 90% chance of getting Final Duel (great upgrade), AT-AT, and Night Buzzard (yes LEGO call it by it’s actually name). Probably pick up the 501st pack to complement the UCS Gunship. But I agree that PT got shafted the worst. I like AAT’s but personally I always preferred the tan color scheme better. And the Soulless One is such a pass set, never been a big fan of that ship. While both Souless and Buzzard appear for a scene, the Buzzard is a way cooler ship. Would love to see some more Geonosis scenes of the droid factory or some vehicles like ARC 170 and No, Hasbro has been putting out EU Black Series of late with Nihilus and Revan and Force Unleashed Stormtroopers. So I wouldn’t see them specifically targeting Lego about it. I just don’t think LEGO sees money in it though, would love to see an updated Rogue Shadow one day with updates minifigs and a Rahm Kota. Lego has been playing it safe with Star Wars, that’s why we will probably never see EU sets again. -
I just got my sets from Zavvi, and one thing I really love while building the Forbidden Forest is the teal hot dog piece to connect the mushroom top to the tree! I really love these tiny tree builds they do every year, same thing last year with the Expecto Patronum.

I really loved the carriage, the four minifigs and the new hat hair combo was awesome and the play feature of it turning into tea room and a bed room was really nice. It’s a cool set but kind of unnecessary at the same time. I honestly would of preferred getting the Merpeople. Is it less creative? Sure but being a big GOF fan, I really want to have all three tasks, that seems more important to me than either the Dumstrang Boat or Beauxbaton’s Carriage that just showed up for a scene of two. It’s not that I don’t like it, it’s prioritizing what sets should of been made first and are key to the film.

Good to hear! How long did it take for them to actually dispatch it? It’s been two days since I placed my order and it’s still getting processed.
-
I was just looking at the 3D Diagon Alley jigsaw Puzzle and I would love something like this plus Gringotts. Obviously not as many stores, but the execution and setup is great.
-
Man I wish somebody told me this before dropping close to $200 on the Astronomy Tower . But I’ll probably pick up the Forbidden Forest and Room of Requirements from them, might bite on the 4 Privet Drive as well
-
I feel like if there was an early July release we would have known by now, pretty sure we knew about the early release in July about this point last year. LEGO stores also had them early as well
-
At least where I live in the US, top five infected states, they are doing curbside pickup so you call ahead they will bring it you. Yes most LEGO stores get them same day.
-
Sure I’ll give it a shot.

Already did like a couple days ago, but again nothing was done

Excuse me? Voldemort gtfo I know it’s you
