  1. Gotta say this is a super solid wave for Lego Star Wars, probably the best one in a couple years with a lot of variety. Last couple of years I have been buying the UCS sets alone and maybe a smaller set here and there, but there’s four sets I’m definitely interested in picking up on Day 1. Night Buzzard, Razorcrest, AT-AT, and Duel on Exegol. Between this and HP I’m probably going to broke but eh life goes on.
  2. I’m not following this logic. You blame Lego for their set choice based on what leakers “promised”? Lego themselves didn’t come out and say “To coincide with Season 7, we will release a CW dedicated wave.” Blame the leakers “promise” and better yet your own expectations for not getting what you wanted, that’s not Lego’s fault. The leakers don’t owe us anything at all either. This is Lego Star Wars after all, you need to temper your expectations. We don’t even know how the CW sets even look like yet... A completely new set and a couple of sets that haven’t been released a while is pretty good for Star Wars. But in the end I’ll agree to disagree.
  3. Priority isn’t the issue here, tell me would you prioritize something that comes from literally a feature film, the last film in the iconic Skywalker Saga, a forty two year legacy, or the last season of a TV show that’s only on Disney +? The answer is glaring obvious. A lot of The Clone Wars sets were based on PT designs like the Gunship and the Homing Spider droid. The films should take priority and rightfully so. I’m not saying let’s not get CW sets, what I’m saying is that films come first and that we still need a bunch of TPM, AOTC, and ROTS sets. Honestly I still need some TLJ sets as well. There’s gonna be three CW sets and probably more in future waves. There’s no reason to panic.
  4. I think we will some more PT representation soon. The Republic Gunship won the fan poll so hopefully Lego gets the hint that there is interest in PT, especially now since the PT era fans are getting their hands on their own cash. Really can’t expect it immediately though, sets take a while to get into production, but in a year or two I can see some more PT sets getting featured especially in 2022 which will be 20 years of AOTC. I can see them doing what they did in 2012 in 2022 which is have a wide range of sets from the film. TV show sets have never really done well, so that’s why I can see Lego shying away from that. The Havoc Maurader looks like any old imperial shuttle just with more pointy wings. It’s nothing really standout at least to me.
  5. Regardless of thoughts on the ST, I think the Night Buzzard is a great choice. People complain about getting the same old sets yet now people are complaining about it being too obscure... The Night Buzzard is a cool villain ship with a sleek black finish, I guarantee you it will sell pretty well. On top of that we complete the Knights Of Ren which will be a huge draw. I don’t think people knowing the name off top of their head matters, as along as the ship looks cool. I remember in 2009 when I was a kid I bought the Rogue Shadow having no clue from where it was. Now I’m considering buying Kylo’s shuttle because I was waiting out if they would release all 7. If we got the Quadjumper, then I see no problem with the Night Buzzard. Fingers are crossed for Duel on Exegol, would love to get me a zombie Palpatine minifig with his Episode 3 senate garb and 6 look combined
  6. I really hope we get Umbridge’s Office in the Astronomy Tower. The Yule Ball’s white decor was a nice change of pace of the usually tan interior so I hope we get those pink walls with cat plates.
  7. I’m extremely excited for an AT-AT. Bought Assault on Hoth (blasphemous I know) since I was just coming out of my dark and it was the easiest way to amass the Hoth sets. AT - AT would nicely complement that set. Too early to tell for certain but I hope they keep the MBS going. As a sucker for location based sets with a lot of exclusive minifigs, I enjoyed Betrayal at Cloud City a lot and would totally pick up the next installment
  8. This is from earlier in the thread, take it which way you want: JediJacPenguin has it on his website as well who has a proven track record. Would make sense as well considering that the first wave had both a CMF and D2C where last year had no CMF or D2C.
  9. Thanks guys, I appreciate it! As for the $100 set, I’m putting my money on the Dumstrang Boat. Every wave so far has been following the formula and this year’s leaked sets so far is missing a vehicle set. Don’t think the it will be Diagon Alley related because that’s probably the D2C and The Burrow will probably get done in the next wave. Though personally I just want a Merpeople set so we can have all three tasks.
  10. https://imgur.com/a/zqEe9xL Might be a little late to the party but this is how I have mine currently setup. I have all the sets on display except the Quidditch one which I just haven’t got a spot that looks good in yet.
  11. Every single time wave info is released, we have these self anointed “true” fans come out of the woodwork. LEGO isn’t forcing you to buy these sets, if you don’t like something then don’t buy it. Well constructed critiques are fine but petty entitlement is unacceptable. We don’t even have all the details or images to make a proper assessment. Be happy we are even getting sets again because there was a long ten year drought where we got nothing. By the sounds of it the overwhelming response has been positive to the details of this wave this far and rightfully so. Getting Privet Drive is a very pleasant surprise and you call Privet Drive an unimportant location yet you want Grimmauld Place? Come on, Privet Drive appears in almost all the films where Grimmauld Place is really only in OoTP. It’s the home of the main protagonist, literally the start of his adventure. We learn what Harry was like before he became a wizard and it shows him at his most sympathetic as a loner child. Yeas we all want a Chamber of Secrets but I have heard that sentiment a thousand times and echoing won’t make it come true. Heck they might be more sets in August. Enjoy what we are getting because this by and far the greatest Lego theme running rn.
  12. Not really if the leaks follow suit like last year. Set names were revealed in January so we’re about a month away. Curious if they are doing 5-7 in one swoop if there are a lot of sets.
  13. Can you please tell us the set names by chance?
  14. I can definitely see us only getting four sets this year. OoTP and HBP largely take place at Hogwarts. So if I’m gonna guess it will be The Astronomy Tower, The Burrow, Ministry Of Magic, and maybe a Forbidden Forest ala Aragog or Patronum and you have covered pretty much everything. Fingers crossed for a D2C Diagon Alley that has elements from the three movies it was featured in.
  15. Hey everyone, I was wondering do you think I should hold out and see if a new Jabba’s Palace comes out in the next couple of years or should I buy the most recent iteration off EBay?
  16. That’s the hairpiece I used for Wormtail as well. The only problem is close up, the eyebrows don’t really match the color of the hair. But if your looking at from a distance and have him on display, it definitely works. Here’s a pic: https://imgur.com/a/F7KSL3oThis comes from a guy who always likes to keep the minifigs in their original form: but Pettigrew’s hair is just so off it needed to be changed. I know a lot of people complained about Sirius Black’s which was fine imo, but this was way worse.
  17. Yeah the Supremacy would be an amazing UCS! It’s easily the best ship design from the ST because it’s original and it has a unique shape. That or the Resistance Bomber but the $100 set suffices.
  18. Love the Knights Of Ren minifigs, some of personal favorites in quite a while! Kylo Ren’s shuttle is definitely a must buy now. As for the Klatoonian, this maybe a long shot from happening but a Master Builder Series Jabba’s Palace would be amazing! It’s probably an extra from the Episode 9 skiff.
  19. The horntail is not the bad, I have it perched on the tower next to the Great Hall and it looks really nice there.
  20. Just got back from the Lego store and they had all the sets in stock! So happy that I didn’t have to be on the look out for weeks and wasting gas to track them down like last year. I’ll wait a month extra if they are stocked as they were today!
  21. I’m going to put my predictions down: Inferi Cave: Small set that is a lot like Expecto Patronum with the centerpiece being the bowl and locket. Maybe a little bit of the Cave itself: Harry, Dumbledore, Inferi 2x $20 Ministry Of Magic: The Room Of Prophecies with a couple of shelves, and maybe some of the fireplaces as well. Harry, OOTP Sirius Black, Lucius, Death Eater $40 The Burrow: Remake Of 2011 version with Harry, Ginny, Arthur, Molly, Greyback, Bellatrix. Maybe a little smaller. $60 Astronomy Tower: This would include Room Of Requirements, Umbridge’s Office, Slug Club hopefully with the hourglass, and the you know the launchpad. Greenhouse side build. Harry, Draco(black suit), Crab, Goyle, Sprout, Umbridge, Luna, Neville, Snape, Lavender. $100 Diagon Alley D2C: Gringott’s, Weasley Wizarding Wheezes, Flourish and Blotts, and Ollivander’s Wand Shop. Harry, Ron, Hermione, Fred, George, Hagrid, Lockhart (Blue attire), 2x goblins, Lucius, Ollivander, Death Eaters 2x. $300 CMF 1) Petunia Dursley 2) Vernon Dursley 3) Dudley Dursley 4) Kingsley 5) Tonks 6) James Potter 7) Lily Potter baby Potter 8) Lockhart gold attire pixies 9) Lupin in the tan suit 10) Centaur 11) Harry (Slug Club) 12) Hermione (Deathly Hallows Red Dress) 13) Ron (Quidditch Captain) 14) Luna (Lion headdress) 15) Colin Creevy with Camera 16) Slughorn Couch 17) Katie Bell 18) Narcissa Malfoy
  22. Oh yay we moved three pages there must be some concrete news today..... Sigh There is no point in complaining about the release date because we have no power in changing in it. Just because you wrote a whole diatribe on Eurobricks doesn’t mean Lego will magically get stock... I’m from the US and I honestly don’t care at all (thank you Tool for teaching me patience!). Buy another Lego set to keep you busy, I just bought the Tantive IV and it’s the best Star Wars set in years... Ninjago City is another beautiful build. Lego is putting out so many great sets across all themes the last two years and it’s crazy. Go explore and August will be here in no time.
  23. Me personally: 1) Clocktower: Gorgeous asymmetrical exterior, probably my favorite Hogwarts piece thus far. The Yule Ball Portion with the tables and dance area was really well done along with an awesome Dumbledore’s Office. DADA and Prefects Bathroom were great bonuses as well. For $90 it’s a steal. 2) Hagrid’s Hut: Another beautiful set and most screen accurate incarnation thus far. Buckbeak looks great, McNair and Fudge were awesome surprises. 3) Expecto Patronum: STAG PATRONUS LITERALLY THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MOLD OF ALL TIME WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY? 4) Knight Bus: Had the OG one when I was a kid and I’m a sucker for purple bricks. I think the driver is my favorite minifig in this wave... he looks hysterical 5) Rise Of Voldemort: Had the original one of this one as well... a little let down because of its size. Minifigs are great and it’s still a must have. 6) Beauxbatons Carriage: It’s a good set but it just does not do much for me besides the minifigs. Just kind of unnecessary, especially how we got all the Tasks except the Second. Good to get a proper Fleur love the new hat combo 7) Hungarian Horntail: The dragon itself is fine but the tent is so useless and feels like I’m getting nothing for $35. Will pick this one up only for First Task Harry and the Golden Egg. Thinking of using my VIP points
  24. Eh I don't mind an August release to be fair. Especially if there is plenty of stock go around this time. I'll just buy the Tantive IV to keep me busy till then.
  25. The difference between Harry Potter and Star Wars and why one is evergreen and while the other is not is because there is a lot more variety in Star Wars. Let’s face the music, Harry Potter mainly takes place in Hogwarts, with other notable locations being The Burrow, Diagon Alley, and Ministry Of Magic. That’s four locations with three of them being done in one set. In comparison to Star Wars which has countless amount of planets like Endor which alone can produce 4 sets and Tatooine which had 5 sets in the last two years. Then there are all the vehicles. HP has what the Knight Bus, Hogwarts Express, and Ford Angelia through eight films. But I could pull the ARC-170, Jedi Interceptor, and Invisible Hand just from the opening scene of Revenge of The Sith! And then there’s all the Legends material they can always draw from and sources like video games and comics. Remember HP is only once a year where Star Wars is like 3. Of course there will be some repeats. Actually I’m okay with HP ending in about three years from now... Finish off 5/6, 7/8, and do one final sweep to pick up sets like Chamber Of Secrets, Shrieking Shack and the Second Task. I feel like we got the essentials down, no need for sets like Xenophilius house, they wouldn’t even sell. Maybe after HP is done revive Indiana Jones or the Adventurers sets. Resurrect HP in about 8 years.
