  1. A Diagon Alley-style Gotham set does sound like a neat idea, though we also know that the Batman D2C has about 1600 pieces less than Diagon Alley despite being the same price. That would probably allow for at most 3 building modules instead of the 4 Diagon Alley includes if they went that route (My top 3 picks in that case would probably be the GCPD building, Iceberg Lounge, and Ace Chemicals)
  2. Considering Brick Clicker has an IG poll to decide the next D2C info drop, with Super Heroes (not specifying if it's Marvel, DC or both) being one of the options against Icons and Ideas/Architecture, I can only hope that the wait for more information on the Batman D2C will be a very short one at this point.
  3. That could also work. A lot of characters in say, an Arkham set, could probably get away with being either straight repeats or variations that wouldn't require new prints from the 2019-2021 sets (Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing, Batwoman, Gordon, Joker, Poison Ivy, Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Catwoman, Riddler, Man-Bat, and the Arkham jumpsuit torsos from the 4+ Arkham set come to mind), which would leave more room to new characters and variants that would definitely need new prints. It's worth noting though that even after the Daily Bugle got a $50 price increase, it still has a price of about 9.3 cents per piece, noticeably lower than whatever this Batman D2C is. I'd assume there must logically be some sort of reason why the Batman set will be $100 more despite only having about 200 pieces more than the Bugle.
  4. I'm hoping for either Rivendell levels of new minifigure prints and/or a bigfig to help justify the cost of $449.99 for 3,981 pieces, which is about 11.3 cents per piece.
  5. If this D2C is something that supposedly won't disappoint people, would that make a minifigure scale set a safe assumption? I got the impression that the big D2C Bat-vehicle sets did all right, but I feel like another one would disappoint a lot of people at a $450 price point (especially considering the past big Bat-vehicles from 2019-2021 ranged from $200-270)
  6. I mean, if it is a detailed system scaled set that includes a decent number of new characters or revamps of characters that could still use improvement, I could see a lot of people getting excited. I'd be excited if that were the case, anyway.
  7. There are many new minifigure options a comic based Batman D2C could go with. We're still missing some Bat-Family members, with Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown being among the most notable omissions. Tim Drake in his Red Robin costume would also be good to get. Red Hood would be a good option to include again, as it's been quite a while since his last appearance. Perhaps they could do this design (which Spin Master recently used for their Batman figure line) if they want to do something different from the 2016 minifigure. As for villains, Bane with the 2021 bigfig mold, minifigure Clayface with the Vidiyo slime head, and a new black and white suit Two-Face still remain my most wanted revamps of villains we've gotten before, while my top 5 picks for villains we haven't gotten yet would be Mad Hatter, Ventriloquist, Hush, Black Mask, and Lady Shiva. Of course, I can only hope LEGO goes with any of these for the D2C, assuming it's even a minifigure scale or comic based set at all.
  8. Arkham Asylum seems like it'd have the best potential for the minifigure selection, though I'd hope they would actually take the opportunity to include some characters who would have basically no chance showing up elsewhere. Darker characters like Professor Pyg (who did appear in Beware the Batman and got a billboard cameo for TLBM) and Zsasz (who did appear in the DS versions of the first two LEGO Batman video games) might technically have a very slim chance of appearing in a 18+ Arkham set (and if they don't show up in such a set, they're likely never turning up) I'd technically be fine with them reusing most figures from the 2019-onwards sets (maybe with a slight change that doesn't require new printing here and there) if it meant getting more new characters.
  9. Whatever the set is, it has a higher cost per piece than a lot of other D2C sets, even post-price increase. Maybe a lot of new prints or bigger parts used in the build? I'm still waiting to see the 2021 Thanos bigfig mold get reused for a comic version of Bane.
  10. At this point, I can only wonder if whatever we hear next will generate more hype or disappointment.
  11. I just got back from seeing the movie, enjoyed it more than the second movie overall, but I'd still rank the first one above it. 7.5/10 Really needed at least one additional set, I hope LEGO will decide to revisit it in the next few years.
  12. I'm still hoping that the upcoming CMF will have 18 minifigures like the Disney Anniversary series, considering there should be more shows to cover compared to the first series.
  13. I'm not entirely convinced that the we'll be getting a third minifigure in the Flash set considering how many Batmobile sets in the past few years (76119, 76188, 76239, and 76181) only included two minifigures. I would definitely prefer Supergirl over Zod if we do get a third minifigure though, as the 2013 Zod isn't particularly in need of an update, and is still pretty easy to get online.
  14. It would just seem really bizarre if Lizard doesn't turn up anywhere at all, considering he shouldn't even require any new molded parts now that the T-Rex costume tail piece exists.
  15. I guess the most logical way we could get Lizard at this point is if we got a set of the FEAST truck, which could also include May and possibly Jameson, plus some repeated Spider-Man variant.
  16. The Cap and Black Widow Bike set would be a lot more interesting if it has their TWS designs.
  17. Yeah, I thought the Flash set already has the Keaton Batmobile covered. I think the Bat-Skiboat would be a good choice for a Batman Returns set.
  18. I'm really hoping Lizard will still turn up somehow, as I haven't really been satisfied with purist customs of his movie design.
  19. According to Brick Clicker, we're getting: 76249 Venomized Groot $50 76257 Buildable Wolverine $35 76258 Buildable Wolverine $35 76260 Cap and Black Widow Bike Chase $15 76261 NWH Statue of Liberty Battle $100 76262 Captain America's Shield $200 76267 Marvel Advent Calendar $45
  20. I wouldn't be complaining if Batman: The Animated Series got a full wave of sets, considering that could potentially mean getting an updated Two-Face in his black and white suit, and maybe even Mad Hatter or the Ventriloquist finally.
  21. I just keep getting more and more curious about what the main wave of Batman sets this summer is going to be based on. Comics? Movies? The Animated Series? Some combination? I can hardly wait for more information to be revealed.
  22. Huh, so it seems I was right in guessing that we are getting a Nightmare Before Christmas set, but it's through LEGO Ideas, which I was not expecting.
  23. If LEGO does revisit Batman villains we've gotten already, I hope they at least are strategic about it. Clayface as a minifigure with the VIDIYO slime head, Bane using the 2021 Thanos bigfig mold, and Two-Face in his black and white suit would at least be worthwhile updates of characters that were released previously. I suppose LEGO could also get away with straight up rereleasing the 2019 Catwoman minifigure, considering how much they go for now.
  24. If we get Iron Spider again, I would really hope for an update, considering the 2018 version doesn't doesn't have blue eyes or dual molded legs.
  25. I could see Sandman being left off the minifigure list if he's brickbuilt, but I would be seriously disappointed if Lizard is omitted, considering we haven't even gotten a comic version yet. He wouldn't need any new molds either, considering he could easily use the Faun legs and the new tail from the T-Rex Costume Fan.
