Very nice up-date of the Agents theme! Thanks for sharing, Peppermint I totally agree with this statement: why would you have to compromise the car's top performance by adding extra weight in the form of weapons (play value apart)? Without counting that the way TLG did it with the World Racers' vehicles totally disrupts the aerodyanmics in most cases

Neat little display, lego40k. Maybe the tank is a bit out of scale (but I'm no expert in that field) and the cats could use a more shaped form: I find this shape more interesting, or the same with a 1x1 clear tile instead of the cheese slope piece.

Well done, Scrat. I can totally envision this bus in a City layout. The addition of the Cheerleaders in the first shot gives it a very summery and youthful aura P.S. - could you please reduce the size of the first 2 shots to 800 pixels maximum? Thank you.
-
Very ingenious vignette, Maegnus. It is indeed a perfect background for the Tribal Hunter minifig, and a great use of the PoP pieces.
-
Oh yes, I see how that can complicate the Sirius Cybernetics Corp.'s sales.

Those two are lovely! Thanks for sharing, Jebediahs

Funny I like how you gave it a real rock background, too. On a side onte, could you please reduce the pic to 800 pixel maximun? Thanks

Very well done as always, I Scream Clone. I really like the grooved exterior and the use of sand green, which we don't often see in a MOC, but is perfect for far west buildings
-
I really like the clean, simple and classic look of this building, and also the little details like the floweres to add colour to the facade. Thanks for sharing it, Vincent Kessels!

Very nice and full of appealing little details, mautara. The ornaments and the colour scheme are really nice, and it's easy to see the resemblance to the original building. P.S. - could you please reduce the pics to 800 pixels maximum? Thank you

Very well done, AllanSmith. You captured Mack's cheerful essence perfectly!

Very cool looking little spaceship, Mr. Mandalorian; too bad it was designed by the Sirius Cybernetics cooperation! Apart for the steering that was worse than an Arcturan Mega-whale's, did they implement it with GPP (Genuine People Personalities) technology, too? Thanks for sharing and for keeping up the good old THHGTTG memory

I saw them today on classic-space.com... I was going to enter the contest, but then other matter got in the way and so... Anyways, they look really cool, thire5. The colour scheme of white and green is sorta refreshing and the design is neat and clean. Good luck for the contest

First of all, I'd like to congratulate all the entrants for the fantastic entries; if I had enough votes, each of you would get his/her point! Secondly, I'd like to stress the fact that this is one of the few contest I've seen where all the entries are so high quality. It's clear that the inspiring minifigs brought out the best of the builders. Last but not least, I'd like to say a huge thank you WhiteFang for hosting this competition and for all the enthusiasm he put into it. You can trust me, this minifigs and the related contest truely dominate his mind! Now for the voting: +1 point for Noodles140 - 20) Skater Boy Entry; just love the classic cartoon style +1 point for riversarl - 30) Ninja Entry; a nice rendition of the classic (even though I have never understood where it came from ) rivalry +1 point for 74louloute - 41) Wrestler Entry; perfectly conveys the sense of action and the colourfulness of the cage fights (not that I particoularly love wrestling and this kind of violent matches, but... well as a Wolverine fan, I have a particoular feeling towards cage fights)

Looks cool, Toa_Of_Justice. It is indeed in style with the rest of the Atlandis sets and opens the way for new story developments! Do you plan on doing more of these?

Nice MOC, Randal. Thanks for sharing it Could you just please reduce the pic to 800 pixel maximum in length? Thanks!

Very nice park, Batbrick. The organic look of the plants is well done, and I really like how you rendered the iconic Poison Ivy bed-plant. The fact that you also provided a story and a 'normal day' view just add to this beautifum MOC

How does an idea of a MOC come to you?
LuxorV replied to RoryoCox's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It may vary a lot: some of my MOCs come from books I read or films/TV series and videogames, some are influenced by others' MOCs I see around, some come out of thin air or from toying around with the so-called 'table scraps'. I almost never try to mimic buildings or vehicles I see in real life, though I did so with smaller items, like a microscope or toaster. This doesn't mean I don't build things that could exist in real life; I just give them a heavy personal and idealised twist. But looking at my BS folder, and also thinking about some MOCs I never photographed or posted, I'd say more than 50% of my MOCs are just based on random ideas which cross my mind. At times it takes weeks for one to be complete enough to be MOC worthy, other times it's already good at first glance. Of course, online community fashions and contest themes can influence my building choices, but it's still mostly based on the spirit of the moment. -
Interesting MOC, Alopex. Thanks for sharing. I think this goes better in Sci-fi
-
Very nice 'hyping' of this set, legitimatealex, and one of the best LEGO graveyards I've seen. You also did a cool job with the minifig factions
-
I like your saucer, Randal. It's a bit odd with the very high cockpit, but it's a nice kind of odd
-
Maybe combining the SNOT/wall, round 1x1 plates and cheese slopes' techniques could be helpful. I think some of the best ripple-like effect can be acheived with the cheese slopes, while the 'calm' ponds with the white-hot center will be best with the round plates or wall styles. The main problem is always the same: having enough parts to complete them. It is sad, but often we have to realise we do not have them yet, and the only option (apart for postponing the MOC) is making an order for those parts (Pick-A-Brick, BrickLink or other)

Nice little creation and photocomposition, TheBrickster! The burned out shelter is pretty well built and I appreciate the Bull shild posed as a trophy or squad insigna.

Hi frontbeast, I think your question can be asked for many older LEGO themes, anywhere you do not get only 1 faction or colour, but many. It looked quite confusing to see the various guys fight in a sort of free for all style. In time I came to the conclusion, already exposed by others and particoularly by WhiteFang, that it was all meant to show the many cases you could come un with. The LEGO motto (together with 'Play well') is You contol the action, and that means that it's up to you to decide the alleances and to make them fight or build together. As for the Ninjas specifically, you can see the different colours also as 'ranks', like the coloured bets for the martial artists and the many suits in LEGO classic space as well as any Star Trek's Federation -like organisations. The most important thing to remember when dealing with LEGO is that what the 'standard' product art shows is just a suggestion: open your mind and let your imagination free!
