Happy Birthday ImperialShadows! Have a great day with your loved ones LuxorV

Of course I like them, and thanks for the link. I'll add them with the next update (probably next week). I was planning on doing so, but somebody acted faster than me LuxorV

Nice decals there Would you mind my adding them to the Indexes? Btw, you may add a link to that gallery in your signature, so that everybody can browse it and see your creations LuxorV

Star Wars Head Decals - Clone Wars and TLC style
LuxorV replied to Capt. Kirk's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Really great job, Capt. Kirk Hope you don't mind my merging the topics, since they were all about SW characters' head decals. For the future, plese keep the number of new topics as low as possible, trying to group the decals by subject, or creating a 'Capt. Kirk's new decal' topic (or something like that). Thanks LuxorV -
That's a common problem when printing on white paper. We even have a discussion topic on this subject by Hinckley somewhere (but it didn't end with a real solution, as far as I remember). Personally, I never came up with a good solution for it . Indeed, darkening the colours should help a bit, but you'd need to calibrate them all. And I'm not sure this would solve the issue, since it is too strongly influenced by the porosity of the paper. The best option (I think ) would be to use high quality photograph paper, if you think the project is worth the expence... LuxorV

I strongly agree with this. As I said more than once, if anybody has a problem with another member, please keep it to the PMs (keeping in mind to always be polite). If that doesn't come to anything, then contact a moderator. Now, as far as I can see, most of the decals here (legs, wounds and other details) are undoubtedly original, and the torsos actually bear a great resemblance to those exxtrooper linked. As we all know, when the source material is the same, decals can come to be very similar (just look at the various versions of historical decals in the Pirate Torso Library). On the other hand, if one sees good decals somewhere and uses them as inspiration/model for their own work, that's fine, as long as due credit is give. On topic - Nice job, Mraz 'Skintas. I like your rendition of the characters, as the choice of the heads and the quotes for some of them. LuxorV

We'll be waiting to see your works, *Jerry Man* I never tried it, but I think it can. Welcome on board Yes, I saw your previous work: good job and thanks for the help. LuxorV
-
Well, I never tried to make one, but I think all you have to do (maybe try with a paper one first) is to copy the template shown here on the material you want to make the skirt with, and then cut the averall shape, the holes for the studs on the upper side of the hip, and the short dashed lines on the picture. Then you fold the shorter sides so that their holes coincide with the ones on the longer side (one per part) and put it on your MF legs. Hope this helps LuxorV
-
Great job on these, Thrash. I especially love the Sniper torso I really like the presentation via those confidential folders I take it the decals (a few of them we already saw, but some seem new to me) will be included into the BS gallery, in order to be available for the Indexes, right? LuxorV

Happy B-day to the both of you! Have a great one, full of, well, everything it is you wish for LuxorV

None, my skeleton is almost undistructible . LuxorV

Thanks. And of course make sure to study for those exams as first thing LuxorV

That's exactly what I meant! Thanks for this great variety of Classic Star Treck decals Capt. Kirk In reference to this, I'd like to ask all the members who posted request here to kindly wait for a bit longer. Things are finally being sorted out, and you'll have your decals soon. Just please don't annoy our decal makers with continuous and insistent 'reminds'. I'm sure you understand the reasons of this procedure, and will agree about its usfulness. Thanks all for your collaboration LuxorV
-
Thanks all for your prompt and active collaboration. You're the ones who really make the MCW the great forum it is! Yes, I remember seeing them somewhere, but I didn't see them today when checking the recent topics for the decals to add to the Indexes Maybe they are in some late post in one of your old topics? Actually, I already completed that request some time ago (look here), but if you also have female version, they are more than welcome Thanks for your efforts LuxorV
-
Thanks to all those who offered their help. This means much to the MCW And I'm sure there will be others willing to hepl You're right. I checked the Wish List and, as far as I remember, this is the first un-done request. Some of the others have already been completed, but it should be staded if that's the case. For any further reference about already existing decals, always check the Indexes (I should be able to update them with the decals of the last month this week-end) It could be of help to avoid confusion if, when one of you decides to take a request, he could state it clearly in the Wish List topic. Of course, it's up to your sense of responsability to complete the work you declare to take (that's why I say I won't make any of them myself: the will to make them is present, but I probably could only do a few of them, and it would take a long time ). LuxorV
-
Well, as Hinckley said, you'll see them soon enough; and you'll be able to say 'I partecipated to TLG big surprise reveal' LuxorV
-
In response to the pressing requests and the concerns espressed by many members in the Decal Wish List topic, and not being able to do that myself (due to massive lack of time ), I'd like to ask to all our magnificent decal makers to lend an hand, not to me, but to the Minifig Customisation Workshop and to EB in general. If everyone of you (or at least some of you) would be so kind as to tke care of a couple of those requests each, we'll have them completed in very little time. Help us EB decal makers, you're our only hope Thanks LuxorV
-
Thanks for your efforts, teleri In the Minifig Customization Index and Guidelines section you'll find lots of useful tools and tutorial on how to make decals: the colour chart, some templates and so on LuxorV

Spider-Man and The Terrible Ten
LuxorV replied to tin7_creations's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Great job on these 10, tin7 I like the way you managed to LEGO-ize all those not-so-easy characters. Do you plan on giving us a link to your custom decals (along maybe the previous Disney ones ), so that they can be added to the index? That would be most nice of you LuxorV -
Thanks for the comments, Batbrick. I'm happy you like them both. Not in the immediate future; maybe this summer LuxorV
