Welcome to EB, barry. I see you're a real enthusiast member, and that's positive. But we'd prefer if you could calm down just a bit and use less smileys and keep your text below 'size 3' in the future (that is unless you have something really really really fantastic to tell us ). Thanks for your collaboration, and welcome again LuxorV

Great job as always, WetWired I was wondering how came I didn't see new Bot Series MOCs from you recently They both (new and prototype versions) really catch the Firefighter image, even if in quite different ways. While the V.2 is indeed fitting with the actual LEGO style for FF, the prototype reminds me of the good old days of my childhood, when the toons' FF wore those red uniforms and black boots and had lots of shiny metal items with them (for some reason, now I can't get an image of Goofy in a FF uniform out of my head ). Ok people, I think it's time to put a stop to this. It was fun for a bit, but now you seem to be going on too wide a tangent. I'm closing this. LuxorV

Hi nol55, your post doesn't seem much in-topic here. If you want to show us the new decals you got from Saber-Scorpion, maybe you could start a new topic where to post them. I'm sure a lot of people here would be interested in viewing them, and then I could add them to our indexes for future use. Thanks for your collaboration and welcome to EB LuxorV

Happy Birthday CopMike Have a great one and may your greatest wishes come true

There are those from Indy German soldiers (here) with some re-colours. They're from WWII (well, at least TLG's concept for them). Do you have pics of what you would them to be like? LuxorV

Another very nicely done custom fig Would look great in the Indy scenes on the airship, or the burning of the books LuxorV

I felt the same way for a quite long while And you can't imagine my relief when I finally realized that LuxorV

the best program to make decals
LuxorV replied to commdr_neyo's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I'm sorry I can't give you personal insight on any of them, but I have been told that there are some quite good free programs. For example, Paint.net (I see you already know this, but it might interest some other EBers ) and Gimp (actually, one of my colleques at work uses it; I saw it once and doesn't seem too user-friendly to me, but maybe you just need to get accuasomed to its interface ) are both non-vector programs; Serif Draw Plus 4.0 I don't know if it is vectorial or not. Personally, I use mainly CorelDraw (version 9.0 seems to be the best one, not yet complicated as the latest releases) and to a lesser extent Photoshop (allows you to apply filters and other options that are not present in Corel, but it is seldom needed for most of standard-style decals). In the end, whatever you end using, the best option for this kind of graphic job is a vectorial program, which allows you to change the lines without having to totally re-draw them Hope this helps LuxorV -
Sweet composition. I really like your characters and the new decals you made fit perfectly Good photo-editing, too. I'm just not so sure about Gambit's face: seems a bit too simpleton; I awlays consiedered Gambit as more cunning and tough. But probably it's just me (I never liked that particular head anyway ). Well, how could I not include the Star Wars Moderator when build a Star Wars MOC Btw, now that I think of it, this is my first MF sized SW creation (excluding a couple of vigs) LuxorV

Now that I think of it, I saw that Wolverine set last year, but discarded it not being LEGO. Strange, in Italy it will be out on the 1st of May LuxorV

You know, Hinckley once launced this fashion of One vs One building Challenges: the Smackdown. You can see two examples here and here. Maybe he'll be willing to take it up again LuxorV

Another sweet custom, tin7 The decal is great, and it somehow reminds me of Lupin III, too I wish those claws were available in LEGO, too Too bad this piece does not exist in a smaller format LuxorV

This seems to be very exciting period for all the visitors of the Minifig Customization Workshop. After the new BrickArms and BrickForge items revealed last week, the enigma that is badger gives us another thrilling news: a new wave of BrickArms products are on the way, including the sweet minigun you can see in the pic below! Click the picture for link to the thread.

I hope KimT can confirm, but as long as the Staff competition Rules go I should be safe even without the 5 angles/pics And again, with the Tri-droid, who can say which is the front, rear, left-side and right-side? LuxorV

Nice figs, Tinn-man I always like it when people start toying with parts ina little free time and come up with something totally unexpected. Actually, it'd be a little patch of Yellow-tone LuxorV
-
Thanks for pointing out the name typo And think I never even watched the show As for the Tri-droid design, I tried to keep it simple and in-line with what TLG gave us as Spider-droid It took me a while to complete the legs, though, after a couple of false starts. LuxorV

Thanks for the head-up, and welcome to EB, Damien LuxorV

At the beginning of the Clone Wars, when Jedi Masters and Jedi Knights were assigned to command task forces composed of clones, there was concern about the need of good clone commanders who could drive the squad in the absence of the Jedi leader. A special sperimental station was impanted on the Cloners planet of Kamino. In this facility, the clones who got the best scores in normal training were tested. They had to fight simulated enemies alongside with their future Jedi commanders. All along, other Jedi could supervision the training and chose among them their Clone Commanders. This scene takes place on the day when the Supreme Chancellor Palpatine himself decided to pay a visit to the Kaminoan superior training facility, alongside with his special trained Senate Guards... Here you can see the heart of this entry, the CIS Tri-droid; in the upper right corner you can see the Supreme Chancellor watching the clones at training from the control centre. A better view of the Tri-droid, along with the action taking place on the training ground. On the far side of the roon there is the gallery for the Jedi and on the right the holo-projector that generates the enemy droid. A detail of the droid, with its massive cannons mounted on the joint between the 'head' and the legs. It would seem one of the clones lost his temper (as well has his helmet) and is ready to try to put an end to the battle with a thermal detonator. Inside the control room, the Kaminoans follow the action and are ready to answer any question coming from the Supreme Chancellor. In the mainwhile, the Senate Guard, well... guards. All the EB Staff + Ambasador character I could put in (sorry to the others, I just don't have the parts to make your sigfigs ). From top left to bottom right: Jipay, Sinner, SirDillon, Phred, CopMike, ImperialShadows, Hinckley and TheBrickster, Bonaparte, LuxorV, KimT, WhiteFang, and CaptainGreeHair. Hope you like your SW versions Full BS gallery here (when public). LuxorV

I'll be very interested in seeing what will come up. I'm sure some EBers out there can offer a lot of enlightenment on this historical theme (on my side, I fear I'm not able to contribute much; always been too busy with either too far past - paleontology - or too far future - scifi - for this ). And I'm sure these will make a great figure in the Great Pirate Torso Library, too LuxorV

LuxorV promoted to MCW Moderator!
LuxorV replied to Bonaparte's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Well, what can I say after reading all these posts of yours... I'm really touched by the high opinion you have of me and my job And just think I was feeling I dedicated too little time to this forum in the last weeks, rarely posting and commenting on all your awsome creations! I'll have to do better, now I want to say one more thing. All I do here is just the lesser part of what makes the MCW the great place it is. Indeed, without the support and the contribution of all our Customizers here on EB, this place would be less than nothing! Thank you all LuxorV -
This is... well, insane , and really funny Can't belive the call lasted for so long! That guy on the other side of the phone really is patient, or maybe just too stunned to put the phone down. Probably the second LuxorV

Our member Dragonator was kind enough to share with us a bit of history about BrickArms and some juicy pics of new weapon prototypes. Have a look here for the full article.
