  1. Well, I'm not a SWAT specialist, and in my county SWAT does not exists (just seen it in a couple of films ). All I can tell you is what I did for those decals . The SWAT Agent is a police agent from WorldCity with the 'SWAT' sign on it; the Officer has a badge and a back decal; the Hockey Vest is for technical specialists, and as a decal it has a different shape. Hope this helps. LuxorV
  2. You could start by looking here and here; there are some SWAT decals I made a while ago, along with a balaclava in Black that should be easy to re-colour in DarkGrey or LightGrey with Paint LuxorV
  3. So maybe I'll be able to revive my old HL projects now. I'm glad I waited this long before making a BF order; now I'll really have to go with it LuxorV
  4. You can find it in the Western Decals Index: he's the Banker LuxorV
  5. Thanks . I understand why you did it. Nonetheless, calling others 'useless' isn't very polite, is it? . Btw, I didn't realize the size of this. It was the first of his post I saw. The staff is taking care of it now. LuxorV
  6. Please refer to my answer to your other posts to know how to behave here in the Minifig Customisation Workshop. LuxorV
  7. In this case, Natman is perfectly right! It's already the second post (out of 3 you made) in which you ask somebody (Bobskink again, btw) to give you copy of his work. This is not a customs shop. People post here pics of their creations to get feedback. If you want to discuss with them about purchasing copy of their items, please do that via PM. LuxorV
  8. Please, use the public posts to comment on others' creations, and keep this kind of questions for the PMs I think someone is over-reacting a bit here . While to post only to make a commission is not the kind of behaviour we like to see, Bobskink himself offered to make extra copies of his work for others (read the note in his second post). Please try to restrain this harsh mini-mod attitude in the future LuxorV
  9. I guess you make them in Paint, or do you use another program? Anyway, when saving a file (using the Save as option in the File menu), you have (at the bottom of the window where you select the destination folder) two fileds: the upper one is for the file name; the second one is for the format. Open this sub-menu by clicking on the small black arrow on the right of the field and select .jpg, .gif or .png from the list. Hope this helps LuxorV
  10. Actually, I already posted that decal: look at the Comics section of the Others Index LuxorV
  11. Another nice job, clone killer Just one thing, could you please save your decals in another format, like .jpg, .gif, or even better .png? The .bmp format you're using seems to be the only one our forum can't deeplink properly. It would be nice to have the design directly displayed in the first post (and not having to create a thumbnail to deeplink everytime ). Thanks LuxorV
  12. I think you got all the main info by I Scream Clone and Darth Legolas First of all, this is not meant to be a reprimenda, but just a kind request: While we indeed like members to co-operate to keep the site clean and working, please limit the mini-mod attitude I've seen recently. If you find a misplaced topic, instead of writing a comment to only tell the other member he did wrong, contact via PM a staff member (Mod or Admin) who can move it. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation LuxorV
  13. I was merely looking for contests, to try out my skills. Than I became facinated by the personalities around here, and I got addicted LuxorV
  14. Are those supposed to be vibro-blades (hope I remember right)? They sure must be useful when close-fighting The cerimonial trooper is very nice I'll have to mess a bit with those castle plumes and wings. LuxorV
  15. That's very nice of you. I like friendly people At times it's difficult to be as friendly as one would wish, when you have to keep things running smooth in a big community Just please avoid huge collection pics that could easily be mistaken for promotional ones, okay? LuxorV
  16. Thanks for sharing all these decals, skull You really put lots of effort in them, and I see you spaced between very different themes. As ImperialShadows already said, you could use higher resolution templates, to get a more 'smooth' job (btw, I use CorelDraw to make my decals; I think vectorial programs are a lot more useful and easy to use for this kind of works; and, you can store your projects and change them in a blink [well, almost ]). Here you can find a collection of the templates available on EB so far; most of them are at 600 dpi resolution, .png file format. Hope you'll find them useful Please feel free to ask further tips, or to share yours LuxorV
  17. Maybe this is a joke. But it doesn't seem so much of a contribution to the discussion here On the other hand, it's nice of you to give credit to your friend for making the customs you use, but please keep it to that: the 5th and 6th pics in your first post seem too much like promotional pics to me. And now I read it again, the whole second part of your posts is too much like a promotion of your friend's 'armory' I think you already got warned about this kind of things. Please don't force us to take serious action against these posts of yours. You'd regret that BTW, the black helmet (the one in the middle) inthe second pic of the first post is a Space Marine Helmet by BrickForge, isn't it ? LuxorV
  18. Nicely done. As others said, you should give due credit to Arealight for his pieces you used. And pease make sure your pics follow the Guidelines about images: they seem to take too long in loading, and I'm using a fast connection. Can't think how it has to be to wait the loading on a slow connection . Maybe they are still a bit heavy, even if they follow the size limitations? LuxorV
  19. It probably depends on resolution (the dpi thing, you know). Look here and try to see how big it is once imported into a Word .doc; and keep in mind the dimesions listed there, too. Hope this helps LuxorV
  20. That sounds fair I'm done with most of the characters. Now I need to think of a super cool scene to put them (us? ) in! Just one question: are custom decals allowed ? 'Cause I've some good stuff under work, you know... LuxorV
  21. Thanks for the link, PrincessAriana I'll arrange them soon. Btw, can I also add the StarWars and Castle (shields) ones to the respective theme indexes? P.S.: don't worry for the posts. I merged the last two, and the others are fine LuxorV
  22. Happy B-day, guys LuxorV
  23. Happy Birthday May you get a lot of rattling LEGO boxes LuxorV
  24. On December 2007 the Eurobricks staff launched the Minifig Customization Workshop. It was based on the idea of giving the deserved space and visibility to all those creations (decals, molds, texture works and so on) that we call ‘customs’, a way to open a new, more personal, view on the LEGO universe. Now, more than one year later, this baby forum is a proven success: just look at the huge amount of very high quality contributions that our members produce and post daily. Because of this, the Minifig Customization Workshop has recently undergone a series of changes and updates in order to gather and arrange these creations in an organic form. The result is now visible to everybody: the renewed Minifig Customization Index is full of guides, tutorials, designs and, in one word, all the resources it takes to make a good custom. More important, the Index is the sum of the work of all the EB members who dedicate their time to the wonderful job of giving birth to a new piece (be it a design, a mold or anything). More things will come in the near future, so go to the Minifig Customization Workshop, and join the fun!
