  1. No problem. I was following 2 or 3 threads in one time , and so things got a bit mixed upe before I could add the EDIT at the end of your post to let you know what I did . LuxorV
  2. What's next, dentures? You seem to age very fast, Stauder! LuxorV
  3. As long as the MF you use as entry is not the one you already posted here some time ago, but another character in the theme: Btw, all BF & Staff category related questions belong to this thread LuxorV
  4. Did you use any elsewhere? Oh, yes, Odysseus's beard, too, please. LuxorV
  5. Nicely done, badboytje88. May I suggest you to change the theme name to 'Mythical creatures': it seems to fit better for the Sphinx; unless you mean to develope the 'Other sets for this theme' part as al ist of sets on Greek mythology, that is. And before people start asking: I think there is no problem of superpposition between tin7's and badboytje88's entries, as long as they do not use the same characters (that would be too much). Moreover, even if this character is partly brick-built, it still has enough MF parts to have space for MF customizing. As suggested by Matn, some decals would look great on it! LuxorV
  6. And this reminds me: please, tin7, add credit for the custom items you used. Thanks LuxorV
  7. Welcome to the party, M'lady! Will be waiting to see your entries; hopefully, we'll have also some EB Staff representatives, right? Where are you guys? LuxorV
  8. Dear EuroBricks members, the first Minifig Customization Workshop Contest is now half way to its conclusion. Go to the new Entries Index to have a look at what our members came up with till now. And don’t forget to enter the contest yourself: we have so many great prizes to give that it would be such a shame to let them pass without trying your best to get them! Speaking of which, check MCW Contest BF & Staff category: let’s have our Staff and our sponsor BrickForge people show us what they can do in this kind of contest. Always check the Minifig Customization Workshop Forum for news and updates on this contest and on the Customization world.
  9. Dear members of EuroBricks, the first Minifig Customization Workshop Contest is proving to be a focus for the attention of many of our customizers. So far we have had entries by both proven artists and members who are new to the customization world. In two weeks you will be asked to vote on your favourite entry/entries. Please take some time to check the creations presented so far, and be sure to check for updates in the future. When you fulfil the requirements, please PM me so that I can update the list; if you forget to do this, I’ll check the entries by the last week of the contest and I’ll gather then the info for the update, but you’ll loose 10 points from the voting! NOTE - this topic is for indexing only; all discussion should go here. Thanks
  10. Not much activity here, uh? Well, it's time for an up-date. The Special Prize, the well known and exclusive EuroBricks Storm Trooper will be assigned following this procedure: there will be a dedicated thread where Staff members only will post their comments on each entry and vote for the one they liked/enjoyed/were most impressed by. Some representatives form BrickForge will also be required to express their votes and opinions there. As you can see, there is no way of telling what in your entries will bring the EB Stormie in your hands. So do your best and may the luckiest one win!
  11. Welcome to the Minifig Customization Workshop Contest BrickForge & Staff category The purpose of this contest is the following: Create a Minifigure for a New Theme The dream of a lifetime coming true! You have just been hired by TLG to work on a special project. You are now part of the ‘New Themes Development’ Division. Your task is that of creating a new minifigure that represents the new theme you would like TLG to introduce on the market. The theme can be anything but a License product (Movies, Videogames, TV-series and so on): TLG already has enough License contracts going on, and they don’t feel like opening a new one right now. The Rules Same general rules as for the members category, plus: • Entries must have a background story, the crazier, the better. • Contestants must submit the highest number of pictures of their entry. The base of 3 pictures (front, side and back) won’t be enough to qualify for this contest. • Entries can have a link to picture folder (non-resized pics, close-ups and stuff like that for the rest of us to enjoy), in case you forgot put some your pics in the entry thread. • All entries not living up to the rules on the end date will imply demoting from the Staff (at least for the EB one; we’ll see what to do to the BF people later…). • Entries must be something the whole AFOLs’ community can enjoy. Please, avoid nudity, excessive gore, or other offensive content; or at least limit it, if you can’t avoid it. • All entries will be commented 1 week before the end date by me, giving dreadful mocks about your customization ability. Entries are to be posted within the Minifig Customization Workshop and type "MCW Contest BF & Staff Entry" in the ’title description’ of the topic. PRIZES Fame and glory; what more could you possibly ever ask for? There will be only one category of voting: the best overall entry wins. Simple, isn’t it? The Contest will run from today (5th July 2009) to 20th July (12 GMT) On a side note, while a list of the EB Staff would be quite useless (check here to have one), it may be useful to indicate (based on some sneaky information capture done by our secret services lately) who are those who fall in the BF people group: Armothe, Redbean, Hound Knight, PrincessAriana, Sir Gecko, Quickblade, Shadow Viking and Dylan. Some of these people don’t seem to have an account here, or have one under another name; in any case, if you want to join the contest, please PM me before posting your entries, and I’ll up-date this list with your actual name. This will make things easier for the voting part, too. Thanks Now stop whinge about this post and start your customizing!
  12. That's already the 'correct' answer. Thanks for sharing this find, Orion123. LuxorV
  13. No problem at all. Good luck with your entry, then LuxorV
  14. Happy Birthday, my friends! I'm sure you'll enjoy this day with your dears, and a some of whatever LEGO theme Draggy is in now, and Paradisa for Alice I also booked a fantastic hotel for your party (Click to view it in detail - disclaimer: of course, it's not by me ) LuxorV
  15. Hi, samthelegoman1, good to see someone else interested in the contest. Hope this helps: Please, be patient with other people. Those rules are quite long (and annoying, like all rules ), I can understand that something may go unread at times. That's one of the reasons why we have an open discussion topics for the rules alone LuxorV
  16. Yes, mythological creatures are allowed, like other kinds of creatures, as long as they have not been already used in other merchandise toy lines. Thanks for reminding me this: I just checked, and there is not one entry with real brick-built background. Those pics with brick-built backgrounds are in topics which are still WIPs. So let's say this: you can use brick-built backgrounds in shots showing the MFs in action. But the three (front, side and back) required shots must not have a brick-built background. LuxorV
  17. Nice story and neat fig, clone killer! Yes, the little details on proposed sets for the theme are required by the rules, but there is no hurry for them right now. Just remember to add them before the 20th. As for the decals, it's up to the designers themselves to choose if they want to share them or not LuxorV
  18. Very well. Then you can just use them when they help conveying more info about your mood/humor than the text alone. Back on topic - Great use of parts (both BA and BF) on these figs, NewRight! But what is the SP3 alien (don't remember his name) wielding? I can't tell it properly form that angle. LuxorV
  19. Be patient a little more ; we're not even half way through this contest, yet LuxorV
  20. Actually no, sorry The rules state: And that applies to all custom MFs, either used for MOCs or as customs alone. I'm sure you'll come up with something else, and I will be looking forward to it LuxorV
  21. Great job, Capt. Kirk Now the MFs around our cities (and castles, and space stations, and train stations, and ... etc. ) will be far more expressive. I particoularly like the punch-in-the-eye one, for some reason LuxorV
  22. Ok then (you have strange humor ). Just for us who don't know all that goes on behind the screen, maybe a couple smiles here and there could be helpful (And maybe I use too many ) LuxorV
  23. I don't get you, exxtrooper. Can you find a less agressive manner to post your comments, please? Please all stay cool and try to stick to the topics. Personal matters can and have to be limited to the PM system. Thanks LuxorV
  24. There is a chance that the MFs in question are those linked by Tinn-man (top of this page). Untill I get a confirmation PM by BPac21, this topic will stay closed, to avoid any further negative comments LuxorV
  25. It's now been 10 days since the BrickWorld event. The people who went there had the fantastic opportunity to see the new BrickArms and BrickForge items in person. Now, we all can finally see and discuss them in the Minifig Customization Workshop, eagerly waiting for them to be available in the on-line shops. Click on the images to go to the threads
