No problem at all; it is indeed a field that borders both Community and Customization, so a bit of confusion on where to post these is normal Keep it up! LuxorV
-
Hey, Sir Wellington, you really are hyper this days; please don't re-post your request right the second day you originally posted it. Our customizers need some time to work on requests, so please be a little more patient, ok? Thanks LuxorV
-
This is indeed an historical character, and he could go in the History forum, but he is also a custom and we use to keep here in the MCW customs based on all kind of sources, even novel writers and presidents, so it's ok if he stays here That said, I like the way you built him, simple and smooth, and the out of focus shots really remind me of the 1800's photographs . Well done, Dollar Bill LuxorV

The Punisher- Punisher Warzone
LuxorV replied to LittleBuilder's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I really like your take on the Punisher, LittleBuilder: very neat and well focused; unfortunately, it cannot qualify as an entry for the MCW Contest : I don't know if you can find the time to make a new entry, or to chnage this into an eligible one (for example keeping the general theme idea, but eliminating License character names and the iconic skull of the Punisher, and using another symbol in its stead; in the end, you cannot make an entry out of the Punisher, but you can make an entry out of its concept as long as you don't directly copy it; again, Johnny Thunder is a 'knock-off' of Indiana Jones ), but I'd really like to see one from you; I always feel like I'm the bad guy when I have to disqualify an entry and 'rob' someone of his chances of winning . Nontheless, rules must stand. Btw, I changed the title so this is no more seen as an entry, and I deeplinked the pics. LuxorV -
Great built, CanX Maybe a bit too long in the front 'fins', but that's just me . You surely used some interesting techniques here. Welcome to EB, btw LuxorV
-
Yours somehow stayed there right from the beginning, and so it looks inappropriate to move them now... LuxorV

Don't look at me. Shadows is the Doctor, he makes the diagnosis LuxorV

I sense a bit of slowness in this thread recently; whether it is because of the MCW Contest that keeps our designers busy, or because of the summer holidays, I hope we'll see a return of interest soon On the other hand, I also see a diminished use of words like 'Please' and 'Thank you' in the requests; that as well I hope will improve in the future. Thanks all for your partecipation in the MCW and keep Playing Well LuxorV

Interesting design, Creeping Death. Btw, I'll move this to Community, where LEGO Art usually goes LuxorV

Happy Birthday Ralph-S! Have a great one LuxorV
-
You're smart, aren't you? As I said elsewhere, don't consider this title a prize for your perseverance here; consider it as an incentive to direct your attention and posts to other topics! LuxorV
-
Now stop chit-chatting about titles with Staudie and Millacol, and find some other subject to dedicate your posts; it can go away just as fast as it got there LuxorV
-
Finally we get to see it/him/her ( ?) Ok, updated the Entries Index and good to go for the voting. Good luck! LuxorV

Sgt. Muscles and his Amazing Band of Super Heroes!
LuxorV replied to Tinn-man's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Nice to see another entry! Well done, Tinn-man Added to the Entries Index, btw. LuxorV -
That's incidental; actually I meant it because he has to cure your hallucinatory state about that strange Svelte's name changes you and Millacol talk about LuxorV
-
Doctor Shadows, hurry with the cure! It is spreading fast! LuxorV
-
Happy B-day! Have a great one, full of cake, family & friends, and of course LEGO LuxorV

You're right; I mixed the 1x1 brick length (8 mm) with the height (9.58 mm) As for the conversion from CMYK to RGB, it shouldn't have changed the resolution or dimentions, but you never know... Thanks for providing the correct size info LuxorV
-
Entry complete (i.e. good to qualify for the voting) and updated in the index. Good luck! LuxorV

Very nice, SirNadroj. Being a paleontologist and loving the dinos' reconstruction, I must say that the torso is a bit too massive/barrel shaped and long compared to the legs: it would probably need a bit more elaboration on the abdomen-lower torso part, which is a bit too flat imo ; on the other hand, you reproduced the thick cranium very well . Each strip (i.e. whole single drum design) should be about 8 millimetres tall (that's the height of a normal LEGO brick, and so of those round 2x bricks too); the only thing is that it will also cover the indentations on the brick's base, so you might want to try with a 7 millimetres in order to leave them clear. The length is just a consequence, if you keep proportions locked LuxorV

I managed to get it into my BS folder: Note - this decal is by ED-209 The trick is some sites and browsers do not read correctly .jpg files with CMYK colour mode; you have to use the RGB mode to make it visible for everybody (I had the same problem with a couple of banners lately, so I figured it out quite easily, after I downloaded it form ED-209's photobucket) LuxorV
