  1. Venator might have an opening hangar with microscale vehicles but that would be the only interior we could expect, especially with only 2 minifigs in the set. Will be interesting to see how big it is. With a slightly lower price there's no way it will be as big as the 115cm 2019 ISD, especially after the recent pricehikes. But I don't see it being perfectly to scale at 78cm either as that seems too small for the price/piececount even for 2023. Maybe in the 90-100cm range?
  2. Looks like a significant improvement over the 2013 one. Proper sized engine intakes, more accurately shaped nosecone and they finally made the fuselage hexagonal. Doesn't appear to have many stickers either - wing details are brickbuilt unlike the previous version which had large stickered slopes next to the engines. Box art sucks though, black background really doesn't work for vehicles. Looks almost as bad as the box art on the Z28 Camaro last year.
  3. June apparently, so we might see images in May.
  4. Cheaper to just get the legs unless you also want the other minifig parts. It's a cheap part so I would recommend the upgrade, Imperial officers look much better with dual molded legs.
  5. Wouldn't have been my first pick. While it will be the first LAAT/i that isn't in the classic white/dark red colour scheme, I would have preferred the Muunilinst 10 or Plo's Bros variant over Coruscant Guard. But I'll wait until we see pictures before judging it too harshly. Parts and building techniques have improved a lot since 2013 so this could still be the best non-UCS gunship yet.
  6. It's the completionist collectors and certain youtubers who want exclusive minifigs in UCS sets. I'm opposed to exclusivity for exclusivity's sake like C-3PO with the detailed legs in the memespeeder, Kuiil in the Razor Crest and now Rex in the Venator. Exclusive minifigs can sometimes be OK when it makes sense, like the cantina aliens who wouldn't really fit in any other set. But locking important characters behind large paywalls when they could easily be included in more affordable sets is a bit scummy. And this is coming from someone who owns the Razor Crest.
  7. Looks like a pretty good lineup for the second half of the year, makes up for the earlier disappointment of the mechs and buildable Chewie. Nice that they are remaking the Ghost and minifig scale Gunship as the previous versions now cost a fortune, and the UCS Venator is something that fans have been wanting for a long time now. Minifig selection could be better though, no clone pilots for the gunship again, and the long awaited P2 Rex remake locked behind a 650€ paywall? If you want to get him from bricklink he's probably going to cost as much as the 2013 one. Starfighter twinpack looks great too, interceptor looks like a significant improvement over the 2021 TIE fighter. A little dissapointing that it doesn't have the previously rumoured spoiler minifigs but understandable given the release date.
  8. Same, I didn't get the tail wobble either. I think some people might not be pushing the 2 black clips in far enough (step 15, page 17) which would allow more room for the tail to move up/down.
  9. It might be possible to make one near minifig scale but don't think it would be very stable unless it's either fixed in the landing position or attached to a complex display stand. It's a big ship as we saw in season 2 when it was parked next to the Slave 1 and Lambda-class.
  10. Judging by the leaked image it appears to have some form of suspension too.
  11. Don't forget the 2018 Y-wing, that set was a masterpiece. I'm interested in seeing how much they improve the X-wing. I don't expect to see a new windscreen piece as the old mold is still in use with the Galaxy Explorer but there's still room for improvement in other areas. Engine proportions like you said, along with the shaping of the fuselage and nosecone.
  12. Haven't checked overseas websites, but it's been in stores for about 2 weeks now. I know Toyco sold out quickly during their new release sale, but there should still be plenty in stock at other retailers. Suggest checking Toyworld, Warehouse, Kmart or Farmers websites to see if they have them at your local stores.
  13. Promobricks posted about it on their instagram page. It's a 45€ 526pc set which is due to be announced on Tuesday, whic they believe is based on something from the most recent episode. Could also be from the first episode, or something non-spoilery from later in the season but that seems unlikely to me.
  14. Regarding the P2 clone legions vs plain white P2, Lego might be choosing the coloured legions as P2 clones look similar to Imperial Stormtroopers, and the coloured markings help casual buyers tell the difference? A parent who doesn't know much about Star Wars buying for their kid might see a set with white P2 clones and think "oh he's already got some white troopers, he probably won't want this set". And clone collectors will likely buy the set either way as they want more clones for their army, whetether they have legion markings or not. Regarding the Mando S3E2 set which might be announced soon for August release:
  15. Snubfighter looks good but would have liked a 3rd minifig especially at the price it's going to retail at. Might still get it day 1 though, depending on what the May GWP is.
  16. Apparently Din has the updated helmet print in the upcoming microfighter, and presumably any other future sets he appears in. He's in most sets based on the show so not getting him in the pirate snubfighter set doesn't bother me. Still sucks that there's only 2 minifigs, would have loved to get an updated Greef.
  17. My guess is 3 minifigs in the Snubfighter. The leaked Nikto pirate is most likely Vane, an updated Greef seems likely and then either Din or another pirate. At least 4 minifigs in the starfighter twinpack based on other recent similarly priced vehicle sets. Blue mandalorian already leaked, TIE pilot is obvious. Din & Grogu will almost certainly be included as Lego loves putting them in sets based on the show. Maybe an updated Bo Katan based on her live action appearance instead of animated like the current one.
  18. Yamaha's MT10 wouldn't have been my first choice but I'm happy they are continuing with the 1:5 bikes. Love that they have chosen something Japanese instead of the usual Euro/USA brands.
  19. Both. The Ambush on Ferrix set was overpriced everywhere when it should have been the same price as the TIE Bomber considering the weight, piece count and minifigs. But you guys in Australia got a good deal on the Executor. At the time of me typing this, $70USD is $103.78AUD, and the Australian price includes 10% tax.
  20. Wasn't there some confusion about the throne room diorama(s)? There was some leaked info about the Jabba one and speculation that another set would be Palpatine's throne room. This midi scale Executor might be the previously unknown set that we thought was Palpatine's throne room?
  21. Kmart NZ is part of Kmart Australia, it's a different company to the American one.
  22. Kmart stores in New Zealand have the new Speed Champions sets now, along with some other March releases like the Creator sets.
  23. This set appears to be based on the ending of ANH given the inclusion of Celebration Han/Luke/Leia and the lack of any Rogue One or Rebels characters. Evaan and Wedge would be the most logical choices for the 2 pilots as they were the only other pilots who survived the battle of Yavin.
  24. Printed at the very minimum. 2013 windscreen had stickers from hell. Same, hence why I mentioned Antoc Merrick. Might be possible to modify it, assuming the parts exist in the correct colours.
  25. Mixed feelings about this. Would have much preferred a Vader TIE remake as it's been even longer since the previous one, and this is now the third UCS Luke X-wing. Would have been nice if they made Wedge Antilles' or Antoc Merrick's so it's not just the exact same ship a third time. But it's also been a decade since the previous one was released, which now costs a fortune on the secondary market. Parts and building techniques have also improved a lot since then, so this new one should hopefully have more accurately sized engines and a hexagonal fuselage.
