LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

In universe it's almost as big the Falcon. Almost the same length, narrower and taller. Given that the most recent UCS Falcon was $850 with 7.5k pieces and only half an interior, I think $650 with 5.4k pieces for a UCS Khetanna sounds realistic. The only thing that makes me doubt it is the leaked photo looking like an early sketch model compared to some of the other leaked sets that looked like they were ready for production. -

Mechs and buildable Chewie sound like an early April fools joke. Could be a new OT Boba though, unless they are just using the repainted Disney+ minifig again. Not sure what to think about the Yavin playset. A Yavin set has been long overdue but it's a bit of a missed opportunity if they only include minifigs from ANH and not Rogue One or Rebels. Still no info on the May D2C besides the price? It's obviously not buildable Chewie now that we know that's coming later in the year. -

That's dissapointing. I knew the front was the old city one but thought they were using the updated SC version for the rear. -

Unfortunately. It's only going to be in black, white, DBG, orange and red. -

If this set does make it to production I would expect a full interior with all the relevant minifigs from the scene. At this point Lego would know what fans thought about the interiors in those 2 sets, and the half interior in the 2017 Falcon before them. Rivendell is pretty much confirmed for this year. AFAIK the rest are still unconfirmed. -

If they do make a UCS Sail Barge, would they include huttslayer Leia? Thought Disney weren't allowing any more merch of Leia in that outfit, but it was an important part of the scene in the movie so the set would be incomplete without it. If they give it a detailed interior like the AT-AT and Razor Crest it would feel like a wasted effort with an important character missing. -

There was also a 6 year gap between the Dewbacks in the 2014 and 2020 Cantina sets with only an updated print on the 2020 version. Similar size to the Jabba mold too. -

Not necessarily, people assumed there would be one last year based on the 2018 and 2020 releases of Cloud City and the Cantina but we got the Razor Crest instead. -

Throne room sounds mostly good, but I'm not sure about the brickbuilt carbonite Han. The stickered bricks for carbonite bounties in the Razor Crests were fine as they were just nameless background characters but Han is one of the main characters in the franchise, and there's already an existing mold for it. -

I don't know if they will do it for large capital ships, but I do expect them to continue with minifig scale UCS sets. The 75192 Falcon had a half interior, and previous minifig scale UCS only had cockpit interiors. I don't have 75150, but Bruce Swift posted some pics of his TIE fleet with 75150 75300 and 75347 -

That McLaren twinpack will be a day 1 buy for me. The F1 has always been my dream car, happy to see Lego do it justice. -

Black Panther bust as well, didn't take long for the prices to drop. Wonder if that will be enough to make people want to buy them, Queer Eye has been 40% off for a long time now and it's still keeping shelves warm. -

Interesting pricepoints, only 2 big sets for the wave. Think the $200 set will be a large regular set, as the smaller UCS sets are now $240 after the inflation price rises. Guessing there's another big $400+ D2C coming in October or November. -

It's likely just to differentiate them from the long rifles used by other clone trooper minifigs, but it looks closest to the blasters used by dark troopers. They do, but it's much more noticeable on Tala Durith and Rae Sloane. -

I'd have liked a printed line for the lense on the macrobinoculars but I'm fine with not having the coloured stripes as it makes them easier to reuse on other clones. Not sure on waistcapes, they look great but prevent the minifig from being seated. What I really want to see though is dual molded legs for all imperial officers, not just in big UCS sets. They have already put those same DBG/black legs in plenty of cheaper sets outside of the Star Wars theme so surely they can put them in more SW sets? -

Sloane has the correct 5 over 5 rank plaque. Vader does have armprinting, and a new face print. -

There's usually 2 big sets released in the August wave so it's possible that we get a gunship and the Fondor or Mantis. I don't think it would be too soon for a Mantis set as the sequel is due to release in March, and Fallen Order has been out for a few years now so Lego's set designers should have plenty of reference material to work from. -

Bomber looks pretty good for the size/price, Sloane appears to be accurate to her appearance in Squadrons and the comics, just wish they gave her dual molded legs (and other officers outside of UCS sets). Will be picking one up for sure. Same issue in NZ, any small set with clone troopers flies off shelves on release and is hardly ever restocked. Planning to get 2 on release then never seeing them in stores again. -

Quinjet looks great, another "mini UCS" like the Benatar from last year. And I have to laugh at how the Hulkbuster looks better than the big one with 10x the pricetag. -

While I don't think there will be any official alternate instructions, the designers may have decided to put Vader in the set to help the MOC builders who will be building Vader's TIE with the set. Or they may have simply included him as he's a popular OT character and the minifig parts are already in production for other sets. -
Looks amazing. Are you building it with the round engines from the trailers or triangular engines from the game?

This set was the highlight of the August wave for me. Great shaping, great minifigs and a roomy interior with space for a few stormtroopers. Might be the best €100ish SW ship set to date?
