  1. I don't think that the wifi/bluetooth signal thingie necessarily means that, it could just as easily just mean that it's remote controlled, in any kind of way. To be fair, that signal thingie could just as easily mean IR, to me it just means that it can communicate with a device without the need for a cable, but it would be so awesome if we got a bluetooth based PF system, as long as it will work with the old PF motors.
  2. All we know about it is what the name suggests, "App-controlled Batmobile". I've seen a picture of it as well but I haven't shared it with anyone on here yet, there's a bunch of speculation going on in the licensed theme section of the forum. It is very likely controlled via BT, much like the Boost.
  3. This talk of a new PF system/remote caught my interest , when I get to work on Thursday I am going to have a look at the 2018 catalogue again, I've looked through it several times and nothing about the trains caught my attention, then again I don't really know anything about Lego trains but I'll have a look. And before you ask, I won't be taking any pictures for anyone.
  4. Really? In what set, I gotta check that out at work on Thursday. Not really looked much at the trains section of the 2018 catalogue but haven't seen anything suggesting WiFi, all all I recall seeing is the same old 9 speed control remote.
  5. We can't order 42066 to our store in Sweden anymore, it's not listed in the lego b2b store or in the 2018 catalogue either, unless it's specific for Sweden I'd say it's discontinued as well.
  6. Uhm, what? There will be 14 sets this year, 42071-42084, we don't have any clue about how many sets there will be in 2019 or 2020, we still don't know all about the sets we're getting this year even.
  7. That's not the same though, there is an image to back up that discussion, but in the case of 42083 we have literally nothing to base any speculations on.
  8. True, the Corvette is iconic and recognizable, but it doesn't have a single ounce of that wow-factor, something you'd expect if you're gonna blow around 300 euro on on a box filled with plastic pieces
  9. IF 42083 is a supercar there is no way it's going to be a Corvette, because there's not a single person outside of the US who thinks of supercar when they hear Corvette.
  10. Nothing, we're just eager to see what they'll be. Releasing prelims and teasers early on helps amp people up about the sets, but it can also raise the expectations too high and then people will be disappointed when the sets doesn't live up to their expectations.
  11. Well, 42070 will stick around until next year so I would hardly say that's weird. Sure the price is a bit on the mad end, but that is because TLG set an unreasonable price to start with and I can promise you that it is an absolute dead end trying to discuss prices with them
  12. It could be that 42084 was originally meant to be a 2019 set, it was not on the 1H price lists we received back in September, so most likely it was a last minute decision to toss it in with the 2018 releases. The 2018 sets already had their set numbers nailed down by then so they had to stick with 42084. Maybe.
  13. Not on the box, honestly doubt there even is a space to fit a minifig in it.
  14. At most I would say it is very loosely inspired by it, but it doesn't look that much like it. It looks very blocky and butt ugly imo
  15. Can't see any visible technic parts, I can't say about the inside of it but my guess would be the main structure is made up of the control unit, something the like of the Boost one, and then the rest is brick built around that. It's small enough that you wouldn't need a technic interior for stability, regular system bricks will be solid enough.
  16. Not really, no. And as I said, the discussion of what version of Batmobile it is should probably continue in the appropriate forum section as it has nothing to do with technic.
  17. I've posted a bit about the app controlled batmobile (76112) in the Technic 2018 thread, but I'll toss some info in here as well. It won't be a large UCS set, it's relatively small, about 12 studs wide with the wheels protruding a stud or two extra on each side, hard to say how long it is but I'd guesstimate ~30 studs. It says nothing about Arkham Knight, all it says is "76112 App-Controlled Batmobile". Take a look at the last 2 pages of the 2018 Technic thread for some more info...
  18. The catalogue says nothing about Arkham Knight. It says "76112 App-controlled Batmobile", and that's all. And with that I'll leave the discussion, what kind of Batmobile it is is kind of off topic here.
  19. I have seen the picture, yes. It doesn't look like any of the Batmobiles from the actual movies, so I'm guessing it has to be from the Lego movie or something. The body looks to be 12 studs wide, with the wheels protruding another 1-2 studs on each side. The wheels look like the small balloon ones.
  20. One could argue that the control unit is a sort of technical element, but I see where you're coming from.
  21. Ah, we'll have to wait and see then, it doesn't look like a big set though so it might not be far off anyways.
  22. An interesting note about the Batmobile, it comes packaged 4 sets/carton, which is the same as 42075. This should mean that the price will end up somewhere in the span of 50-70 eur, but I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up more expensive because of the app controlled mumbo jumbo, and because it's a licensed set. My initial guess of 100 euro is hopefully, and most likely, wrong. It looks awful though.
  23. Batmobile will release with 2h in August and will have 442pcs assuming the box is correct.
  24. Unless they screwed up their 2018 product catalog that they send to stores, there will be a phone/tablet controlled Batmobile. @allanp Haha, yeah I figured people might think that, felt that I had to clarify a bit I still have no idea what 42083 will be, it could still be a while before any of us know, hopefully we'll get some better teasers for the sets we do know about in the meantime
  25. When I say RC I mean remote controlled, via your phone/tablet, not actual R/C, my bad guys But yes, we're getting a Batmobile that can be remote controlled via your phone or tablet, I'm guessing it's a system similar to the Boost? I'm pretty sure it was a part of the H2 release but I'll double check tomorrow, probably won't be super expensive either, packaged something like 4 sets/carton which should put it at max 100 euro... I should probably clarify that it's not in the technic line though, it's in the super heroes theme, only reason I mentioned it was someone said Batman and the remote control brick or whatever it'll have could be very interesting for moc's
