  1. Ah yes your right but it will be right hand drive once I get it as I do that to all my cars. so they have change the layout of the gear shifter a bit from the Chiron.
  2. Just below the steering wheel you can see a CV joint which looks like it could be in the door I think there could be some mechanism for the doors but i don't think its spring loaded.
  3. Again what many people do not factor in but Lego have to, is that in at an 18 rated product not everyone will have perfect eye sight, might be colour blind, may have poor motor skills, i.e. unable to manipulate pieces, learning difficulties, poor spacial awareness (look how badly people put up Ikea furniture). These people want to enjoy Lego as much as we do so the price to pay is colour differentiation.
  4. So full reveal on Thursday do we have any hint what time it may be? Hoping mid morning so I don't have to wait all day to see it. I also wonder if Pre-orders will be taken at that point as well or just a bun fight on June 1st? Going fora 2 month VIP exclusive is odd even Star wars UCS only get a month?
  5. The top right image is bottom of the box with the instructions the mid right picture is what you see as you open the box. As you can see from the open parts box as these a are all tapered boxes you can't have the manual on top like you did with the last two, as all of those boxes were square. Looks like only three boxes this time as there quite deep from the open parts box. I think that is the "official release" but were expecting a 1 month VIP only release on June 1st as per the Chiron.
  6. Not sure if i want to motorise the doors. they were supposed to be a Super Street feature which was always spring loaded. Admittedly they could be a more sophisticated design like the Enzo.
  7. I Have added some more CG images to the first post. I have been working on the plans for the last few months and they are getting nearer completion. The car still needs a name I was thinking along the line of Fusion GT but still not convinced. What is the communities attitude towards charging for plans I know every one likes every thing for free but i was thinking only a modest amount around £5-8?
  8. Could be or to allow it to sit more flush into the Rim but it seems a lot of effort for a piece that in this instance is purely cosmetic and could be done with a lot simpler moulding.
  9. But then the extra moulding doesn't make sense unless Lego have another idea for that part.
  10. I think a smaller clutch gear could be possible if you look at this image of the new Ducati the centre break-disk clearly looks like it could be "engaged" so we could see a smiler design and a new extension ring to accommodate the clutch selector.
  11. I posted this in the other thread; I see they went back to grey frames and bag one has a blue gear so there having the same normal diffs and it will look like the Bugatti
  12. So the back of the box is the car and info the front is just the close up i bet this will be the wrong way round in every shop be nice to see a rear-view. I see they went back to grey frames and bag one has a blue gear so there having the same normal diffs and it will look lie the Bugatti
  13. Looking at this rear view I think we will see more of the new panels used here for the air intake and rear screen. Click for a better view.
  14. I think we still got some pictures ahead of that and they were taking per-orders before the release date.
  15. is the Lamborghini scheduled for a June 1st release so we may see some official pictures soon? as the Ducati is realising June first on the Lego website
  16. For this par it would have limited application but it looks like a deliberate moulding when just a pin hole would be ok or might be used to convert to an axel hole. I'm relay hoping of course that this can pave the way for a smaller clutch gear for the 12 tooth gear
  17. If you look at the centre of the break disk it seems to have been made with the possibility of some sort of clutch engagement.
  18. seeing as it has one stiff shock at the back i guess the new ones are not that strong.Hopefully the dampening has some visible effect. Do we think that as it's an enclosed unit that the bottom pin hole can be rotated like the old dampened springs that would make it a lot more versatile even if it's too long for most vehicles. Now up on the Lego site https://www.lego.com/en-gb/product/ducati-panigale-v4-r-42107
  19. The car is meant to be more of a grand tourer and they tend to have front engines especially if you have a folding roof probably would have looked better in red but then there a panels that i can't get in that colour. Yes there are many compromises that I had to make just to make things fit and be strong enough to work. I tried to build it like an official model so playability and reliability over aesthetics. The engine is to high and is a big bugbear for me but i just couldn't make it work. The suspension mechanism became quite bulky and exactly where the engine should be. Add 4 wheel drive and steering to the mix and the fact Lego only makes 2 idle gears and it just got too high. I had a version with a lower engine and more universal joints but the gearing kept destroying them. Yeah the rear view is an issue but again it sits atop the eight speed gear box and so you don't have a lot of space to put the rest of the mechanisms in place (I guess why you don't see it on any Lego cars at this scale.) The rear of the car is only for show. I had to make it as light as possible so the rear suspension can still work once you add the battery box and motors. It probably needs the 3 shock absorbers at the back but the Technic Crankshaft part is 1 1/2 studs long it compromises what you can do and only has 1/2 stud for an axel so you have to brace it a lot or it just tears itself apart. Also I would have like the door mechanism to be more sophisticated like the ones on the 8653 Enzo but I ran out of space / talent
  20. @Jurss I have added the chassis view to the first post hope you like them Thanks I have been staring at the model so long I can only see the bad bits
  21. Sorry forgot to take that picture will do it later and add it to the rest.
  22. Thanks found it. The car just needs a name now :D
  23. Finlay finished the car here are some final pics once I have made the stud.io model I'll add some nice CG renders as my photo skills are poor :D Here are some movies of the motorised functions Suspension Roof Bonnet Lights Going to update the first post does anyone know how to update the tread title as I want to remove WIP now. Please let me know what you think.
