  1. Great work, you managed to make the usual ''mini-vehicle and minifig funny'' more original this time, not in the last place enhanced by the expression on Luke's face...
  2. Can anyone explain for me with Hasbro has to do with this?
  3. Hello and welcome. Always good to see a new face around. As a greeble-lover, I find your modification of the 10030 Imperial Star Destroyer lovely. The official, non-modificated version sets pale in comparison. The amount of greebling you used is very balanced; not too much, not too less. More greebles at the centre, and less around the edges. So, any plans on modificating 10030 even more? I would love to see that.
  4. Haha, great one Oky! I always wanted to see a joke about this particular scene. Still wondering which moron chose the young Skywalker to replace good ol' Vader...
  5. I have to say that some sets look interesting while others are reasonable, but not special at all. The Malevolence looks interesting, not because I'm a big fan of this ship or the CW in particular, but unlike it's counterpart(?), the Venator, the Malevolence looks more realistic and less child-centered. As for the others sets, the Gungan sub looks nice, but I'm just not interested in. Saesee Tiin's Starfighter looks interesting too because it seems a little longer that the previous Starfighter we've seen, and it looks like they used SNOT for the cockpit part. Jabba's palace looks very moderate. It comes with parts I'm not interested in, the figures are though, but they will never be the main reason for buying such a large (and most likely expensive) set. The Fury Class interceptor is the most interesting one for me. It just has a great look, comes with very nice figures (as far as I can tell) and is part of the EU. It will most likely become part of my wanted list. Talking about wanted lists, so will the Desert Skiff most likely be wanted. The Republic Striker Starfighter won't I can tell you. The Advent calender perhaps, but probably not, as it looks very Phantom Menace oriented.
  6. After checking my lego collection, I found out that I own most of the parts for the Y-wing. It's just that new years eve is coming and I'm running out of money, otherwise I would have done some Bricklink orders by now. But maybe I can just start working on the body for now, as about 70% of my lego percentage consist of bley and dark bley. If swils and others would make some of your builds physically too, we would have realized a significantly part of your creations. Well, if the X-wing, Imperial Shuttle and Y-wing will be made, we would rather have the best actually. I'm really excited about this, I'd already pulled out the bley parts and spread them out at my desk... Please don't! Your Y-wing was looking really great angel. Okay, true, Brickdoctor's attempt on this vehicle was a total win, but the more we build, the more we learn from each other, right?
  7. Edit; your ARC is actually way different from the official one, after I checked out the LDD file. So forget the ''slight'' in my previous post. :P

  8. Just wanted to let you know that your ARC-170 Starfighter Razor Squadron is pretty awesome, even though I'm not a big fan of the CW. I even see you've published a the LDD file, so I'll take a look at it this evening. I didn't know that a slight modification could increase the looks of a standard TLG set so much...

  9. I see. Well, maybe we could gather some EB members to actually build your whole advent calender physically. The only disadvantage would be that we can't see them all together. I probably wouldn't have the right parts to build even one of your creations in real. But, we would need your permission of course, if we are going to make your LDD designs in real.
  10. Ah, finally one of the three where my interest goes most (together with the A-wing and Millenium Falcon). And I have to say, you didn't disappoint me with this Y-wing Docter. The proportions seem about right, from the shape of the ''head'' till to the size of the engines (although it might give it a robust look, some folks make them way too large ). I believe that most people think that the engines of the Y-wing are pretty big, while they are not that large compared to the body of the ship. Kudos for that. Those engine domes work fine for me, they are no eye-catcher in any negative way. My only concern goes to the pins located at the tubes in the back; they might be the right size, but due to all the edges on them, they are somewhat too notable in my opinion. At the other hand, it's not that big of a deal, and it doesn't look bad or so... The well-greebled body is great, but the ''head'' is even better. It has the right shape, not too curved, as most people seem to think it's so, but almost straight, with only a very slight bow. Except from the engines there is nothing to complain about. I understand it had to be hard to design the engines, I have tried myself a while back when I was working on a midi-scale Y-wing, and due to the fact that I couldn't find a solution for the engine domes, I gave up. You didn't, (couldn't actually) and I'm really glad you made this excellent Y-wing in such a tough scale. I haven't seen any other Y-wings in this scale yet (bring it on with your links fallenangel ), so I would love to see this one in real. And that's my question too actually, are you going to make your LDD creations, or some of them, in real?
  11. Don't you mean the top? Well, that's what the picture shows us at least..
  12. As an dedicated OT fan, I really love this TIE fighter. First I have to say; I haven't seen anything like this before when it comes to the cockpit. But I see you have left space in the center, where the droid arms are about to connect. How about connecting them all via a 3x3 dish? Would that fit? Your build is very clean, SNOT'ted and you made use of some interesting techniques. Just one more thing, don't the bley ''stripes'' at both sides of the wings stick out too much? They are two plates high, yet if you could reduce it to just one, that would be perfect. Oh well, you probably did that because you had to connect it to the wings...as lego doesn't float (...yet ). Anyway, I think you made an overall nice representation of the TIE fighter. If I nitpick there are some points that could use a little extra work, but don't take that too seriously, the look of this ship is great and you certainly made it accurate enough to satisfy most of the OT fans if you ask me.
  13. I dont' see what's the point of lego minecraft; it would take loads of bricks while the playability is even less compared to the game - one can't dig tunnels for example.
  14. What I like about this is it's simplicity yet it's accuracy and finished look. It looks like a fan improved version of an official lego Star Wars set. The great minifigures with their smoothed out helmets are perfected, and are the finishing touch for your project. Especially the tan version is great though. Any plans on combining those vehicles in a larger scene?
  15. The battle droid isn't that bad, it's just a rather simple creation in contrast to the awesome X-wing and Lambda class shuttle. Have you though about using technic parts for the droid? That might give it a more skeletal look and being less bulky.
  16. Besides the thickness (no, I'm not going to complain about that, as others already did that for me ), the first thing I noticed was the windscreen. It's the most accurate one if you ask me. Most people seem to prefer the windscreen given in 8092, which does give the speeder a sleek look, yet it's just not accurate at all, as you can see in the picture. The windscreen should be somewhat high, and bending inwards, which makes that the dashboard control panel is all roofed. So, in my opinion, you chose the most accurate windscreen available.
  17. The stormtrooper face print...? Yech! The first thing I'm going to do is replace this head with the current stormtrooper one.
  18. The head seems a little odd indeed, BUT, at the other hand, it's nice to see a it made not using the technique M<0><0<DSWIM does.
  19. Yes, I just noticed that too. I'm sure the cones and stud on top are shiny while the other parts are not.
  20. Can't wait for the X-wing. And the A-wing. And the Y-wing. Especially the last one actually. I am dying to see those vehicles in midi-scale.
  21. Good ol' Doc, never fails to surprise us. Let me say that all those MOC's are pretty amazing. I'm sure that if you would (could) put more time in them, the quality of these models would increase significantly. But that's the important thing of course; creating high-quality LDD work while having only a little time. Kudos for that Doc. Your Radiant IV was very nice, so was Gunray, even though he is pretty plain. The chair isn't that spectaculair either, but you did manage to make an accurate model of it. The spider droid was sweet, and the Slave I is your best one for now. Can't wait for tomorrow, to check your next attempt on recreating the advent calendar models.
  22. When a single emoticon says enough:
  23. Most impressive indeed! I have to say that especially the tracks plowing through the jungle are really nice. I've looked for some reference pictures and your version looks pretty accurate, the only (minor) change I would make concerns the rocket launchers on top; you might use wedge plates to make it join the hull perfectly.
