  1. The Sandtroopers are too dirty IMO. They are looking odd, too detailed. They already have leg printing, combined with all the dirt.. no, it just doesn't do it for me. Neither they will fit in with the Stormtroopers we've already seen. Why couldn't they keep it simple with just a little dirt and give the battlepack Stormtrooper leg printing instead of the sandtrooper?
  2. Not to mention the ridiculous price of the UCS Jedi Starfighter..
  3. You're right, I'm mixing up different scenes now.. Really? I've never noted that. I knew though they changed the ''old'' Darth Vader with the ''younger'' one in the blue-ray version. Still don't know why they did that. But we're going offtopic here..
  4. What do you mean with the bigger doors? It's been a while since I've watched the OT...
  5. I'm always wondering where everyone is storing such an amount of lego.. but maybe that's just because I only have a small room to store my lego in. Funny, I'm also thinking about collecting all the astromech's, as I am only missing three of four of the little fellas. They're just so lovely.
  6. I just posted the lxf. file for the A-wing, so if you want to have this one too... Well, I have cleaned my room today and thrown away a lot stuff I didn't need anymore (boxes of lego and model kits, and lots of other things) I also have a new bed with drawers below which I'm going to fill with wooden containers (my mum has a workshop) to store my lego in. Anyway, I was planning to place a larger bricklink order soon, and wo knows.. maybe I'm going to turn one of my LDD creations in real. If I'll do that, I make sure to keep you guys up-to-date. Thanks for blogging! I really feel obligated to contribute some ''real'' MOC's soon... After all, it is better than those digital stuff, right?
  7. Thanks MB. Here you go: .lxf I only changed the dark bley for black, and the canopy from transparant to transparant brown. I was thinking about that too; designing both the A, B, X and Y-wing in LDD, but then I'll make them minifigure scale, instead of UCS.
  8. Thanks for the pictures grogall. Nice to see some pic's taken from different angles. Droid escape and the TIE fighter are still my favorites. The only thing I'm a bit worried about is the printing on the Sandtroopers... but I usually don't buy multiple copies of a set anyway, so who cares. It's just that they won't fit well between the regular Stormtroopers IMO.
  9. Never seen the movie, but this looks fantastic!
  10. Alien conquest is one of the few other themes besides Star Wars I actually like. The ADU soldiers are sweet and the new aliens are okay too. And let's not forget bout the ADU rifles which come in most of the sets, they are one of the few more realistic space rifles in lego sets (and especially sweet when customized with binoculars). Anyway, thanks for the review. I doubt if I will buy any of the larger AC sets, as there are still numbers of SW sets I want to have.
  11. Lightning, thanks. I always forget that term..
  12. ...more likely taking a swim...
  13. Very nice. The SNOT'ed ''head'' piece is well made, and the legs are pretty cool too. When I first saw this, it seemed like the ''feet'' were really small, but after doing some research it appears that they are about the right size. Anyway, good job on this one.
  14. Thanks for the feedback guys! The A-wing is 9.6 meters according to wookieepedia, and the Y-wing around 16 meters, so it's not the same scale. However, it might be a neat idea to create a UCS A-wing..
  15. Great work, as always! You still manage to surprise me every single time with your creations. And this one is no exception. The Rancor is awesome, I haven't seen any other ones in this scale before. However, I agree with fallenangel that the tail might need some improvements, to make it even better.
  16. Anyway, here is my contribution: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=62591
  17. Still no room to store my lego at home, so I'll stick to the digital creations in the meantime. Even though I'm getting a little tired of converting all my idea's in MOC's with LDD, I was still motivated enough to contribute to the current community build. Let's just hope I can make something out of real bricks again, before the deadline of the next community build. So, this time I'd make an A-wing. I gained a lot of inspiration from this version, which was also posted here on EB, if I remember correctly. My version has the same sort of front edge, including the 1x4 curved bricks at the side, and the use of pilons at the front. I tried to prevent ''floating bricks'', but I couldn't resist to let the pilons float, as the illegal way I could attach them in real, is not optional in LDD. Unfortunate. All the other bricks are attached to each other, so when modified slightly, this could be build in real. I didn't count the hours the build of this A-wing took, but I estimate it around 10-12. If you want more pictures or the lxf. file, feel free to ask.
  18. Hi-la-ri-ous!
  19. My thought. Everyone here knows that fallenangel must have some kind of huge archive somewhere, with thousands of pictures and hundreds of statistics for every SW vehicle in the universe.
  20. Umm, maybe my words were a little misleading. I intended to make it minifigure scale, but after counting the amount of studs in length, it appears that it will be around 28 studs.. sorry.
  21. Ah, I see, thanks. Especially the one with Darth Vader shooting electricity (forgot the right word for that attack) is nice.
  22. Now I've seen pictures of the back of the X-wing (thanks grogall) I actually like it pretty much. The cannons, the back, the nose and engines are all improvements over the previous version which makes this one superior. And as there is also the new R5 unit (the red one) included in this set, I might probably even get it.
  23. I'm working on a minifig scale, LDD A-wing. Let's hope that will be my last digital creation, I really want to work with the real stuff again.
  24. Nice ones Linko. The glowing lightsabers are a nice effect indeed. You might take some photo's of Sith with glowing red lightsabers in a even darker environment. Think that would be really neat.
  25. Did anyone already mention the lovely nose? Fantastic Rancor! The whole head is really accurate, which is hard to make due to the fact that it's an organic shape. The claws are cool too, I would love to see a Gamorrean guard trapped in there.
