  1. Thanks again grogall! The Interceptor cetainly looks interesting due to the useful parts and printed cockpit.
  2. If I remember correctly we already had a thread for this kind of discussion.
  3. Hi-la-ri-ous!
  4. You refer to the Battlepacks, I assume? Because we haven't seen any Star Wars under 20 bucks the last years, if you don't include the battlepacks. We've only had a couple of mini models, and the currect planet sets of course, but no system scale sets with a low price tag. One missed oppurtunity for TLG if you ask me. Personally, I would rather buy three $15,- sets than one $45,- set. But that's just me...
  5. I somewhat agree with you, but not completely. I think the head section is pretty well done for an system scale set. The SNOTing on the sides is indeed nice, but I doubt if there would be any more accurate solution which doesn't reduce the playability and so the reliability of the ship without using the stacked plates around the cockpit. The two cheese slopes do however look somewhat out of place. Oh well, guess this is just a matter of taste. At least this Y-wing head is better than the previous one.
  6. This is lovely! The fighter is really great, and the fact you put in into a scene made it even better - especially the crane and other maintenance stuff is great.
  7. Two great alternate models Legostein! The shape of both is pretty accurate, although I like the Munificent better due to it's colors.
  8. I don't understand why TLG didn't made a printed cockpit piece either. It would made this great Y-wing even accurater. But we should keep in mind that accuracy is not #1 priority at the TLG headquarters... unfortunately.
  9. I've always wanted to see an great representation of the ship, and you didn't disappoint me after I read the topic title - what an awesome ship you have there! All the angled plates seem to connect well, and the lower and well-greebled section in the centre of the hull is just plain fantastic. Great to see you've made the CIS logo too.
  10. Not much to add either.. it's just great work! You're making good use of your blogger status angel. Great to see how you're fully using your ability to share MOC's, news and other lego SW stuff with us.
  11. Awesome work. This thing is detailed to the bone. The combination of the sphere on top with the detailed and thin legs looks just great. You should indeed put this in a larger scene. Great work overall!
  12. Really? I didn't even know that. But you're right indeed, the only review of this set here on EB proves that. Thanks for correcting me.
  13. I think it's pretty good "Kostas''. There are some parts where you could improve your creation, but you also used some nice techniques and some sweet combination of bricks to represent the speeder bike (the brown part right in front of the biker for example). By the way; when taking a screenshot of your creation, you might change the quality of LDD for a second, so you'll have a more detailed picture of your work. Just a thought.
  14. Many thanks for the review. I have to say that I really like this set. The ''head'' section is shaped well, the engines have about the right size and the position of the nacelle-to-the-body connectors is right. It's well greebled and they even included the copper wires, which is not necessary though, but it stands out great against all the grey. The only part that bothers me somewhat is the cockpit piece - it's transparant at the top which isn't accurate at all. Why not using the same piece as they did in 10134? The cockpit is also a little short for an Y-wing, but as this is also aimed for playability, I'll let this one slide... As for the minifigures, I think they are great. Okay, the Gold Leader is not that special but still good to have him on board. After all, it's Leia and the new R5-F7 unit where it's all about. Leia is great, and the little astromech droid is just awesome. I've always had a soft spot for those little and useful droids, so I'm glad to see the ''R'' family being extended after only having the regular domes for years. Let's hope they'll make even more of them in the future. Overall, good set. I'm going to get it together with the TIE-fighter. That is to say, when I've paid my debts and finally have some money availabe.
  15. Great work again Mood! His face is pretty cute, although I think the lower half of his body is great too - especially his feet.
  16. I'm wondering the same. They can make good use as both parts as minifig pack, and people will probably buy multiples of them. $40,- is easilier spent on some smaller sets, than just one larger set. So I expect it will be lucrative for TLG too.
  17. Here in the Netherlands, ''dapper'' means brave. :)

  18. I have been looking over the internet to find out what the two seat speeders stationed at the Taris upper levels, appearing in KOTOR are called, but without succes. However, I would still really like to see this speeder turned into an official lego set. It's very unlikely, but still. The windscreen piece used for the latest landspeeder would probably be perfect for this vehicle. And it would be a nice way to give us some OR minifigures.
  19. Same goes for me. It's a lovely ship, iconic for the old Republic. It appears both in KOTOR 1 and 2 (two of the best SW games ever) and I think the creation of trooper 278 is a great representation of the Hammerhead-class cruiser. Especially the head section includes some interesting angles and the back section looks great too. Really great to see a not so famous Star Wars ship. Amazing job! That's correct, according to wookieepedia, a Hammerhead-class cruiser has 4 ion engines.
  20. Fan made lego creations don't get any better than this if you ask me. Every single scene you made is, to say the least, awesome. They are all perfect in their own way. If I would have to choose a favorite, which is really hard I can tell ya', the trebuchet would probably be my choice. Fantastic work, I really should keep an eye on the history forum, because of awesome creations like this.
  21. Okay, and now some pictures of your storage.
  22. This looks very interesting. But we need some clearer pictures indeed, before commenting on the ship itself.
  23. These new mini sets look pretty good if you ask me. Anakin's podracer is indeed way better than the previous one. And both the Imperial Star Destroyer as MTT can be useful as part packs. One can never have enough wedge plates.
  24. Great AAT. The missile storage immediately reminded me of the intersection picture of the AAT in a book I own; ''incredible intersections'' or something.
  25. Although I doubt whether this one or your TIE Advanced x1 is the best, I think my preference goes to the TIE Interceptor due to it's level of detail. Even though this is probably not the most exciting section, the part connecting the wings with the cockpit is very well designed. However, the back is still the best part in my opinion, who doesn't love some SNOT'ted, circular cheese slopes? Anyway, great work Doc. I would still love to see one of those build in real bricks.
